Finally then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Yeshua, that as you received from us how you ought to live and to please God, even as you are living, that you excel more and more.

2 Angraeng Jesu rang hoiah kawbaktih kaalok maw kang paek o, tito na panoek o.

For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Yeshua.

3 Ciimcai ah khosak moe, zu sava laep ah nongpa nongpata zae sakhaih ayae hae Sithaw koehhaih ah oh:

For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

4 nangcae boih mah, angmah ih laom to kawbangmaw pakoeh moe, ciimsak han, tito panoek han oh;

that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

5 Sithaw panoek ai Gentelnawk baktiah taksa koehhaih to na patom o han om ai:

not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God;

6 hae hmuen pongah mi kawbaktih mah doeh angmah ih nawkamya nuiah kasae hmuen sah hmah nasoe: Angraeng loe to baktih kasae hmuen sah kaminawk nuiah lu lakung ah oh, to pongah thaisakhaih lok kang thuih o coek boeh.

that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

7 Amhnongsak hanah Sithaw mah aicae hae kawk ai, ciimcai han ih ni kawk.

For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

8 To pongah kami maeto khet patoekhaih tawn kami loe, anih mah kami to khet patoek ai, aicae han Angmah ih Kacai Muithla paekkung, Sithaw to ni patoek.

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Rukha d'Qudsha to you.

9 Toe nangcae khaeah loe nawkamya amlunghaih kawng to ka tarik han angaih ai: maeto hoi maeto amlung hanah Sithaw angmah roe ang patuk o boeh.

But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

11 kang thuih o ih baktih toengah, kamdueng rue ah khosah oh, nangmacae ih tok to sah oh, nangmacae ban hoiah tok to sah oh;

and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

12 to tiah ni tasa bang ih kaminawk mah azat paek ih kami ah na om o ueloe, angaihaih tidoeh om ai ah kho na sah o thai tih.

that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

13 Toe nawkamyanawk, oephaih tawn ai kaminawk baktiah, poekhaih tawn ai ah khosah o hmah, palung na set o han ai ah, iip kaminawk ih tamthang thai ai ah ohsak han kang koeh o haih ai.

But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

14 Jesu loe duek moe, angthawk let boeh, tiah a tang o nahaeloe, to tiah Jesu ah iip kaminawk doeh Sithaw angmah hoi nawnto caeh haih tih.

For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Yeshua.

15 Angraeng ih lok rang hoiah nangcae khaeah hae tiah lok kang thuih o, Angraeng angzoh khoek to hing kanghmat aicae mah, iip kaminawk to a caeh o taak mak ai:

For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left to the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 Angraeng angmah roe hanghaih lok, kasang koek van kami ih lok, Sithaw ih mongkah lok hoi nawnto van hoiah anghum tathuk tih: to naah Kri ah kadueh kaminawk to angthawk o hmaloe tih:

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God's trumpet. The dead in Meshikha will rise first,

17 to naah aicae kahing kanghmat kaminawk to Angraeng hnuk hanah van ah, nihcae hoi nawnto tamai thungah la tahang tih: to pacoengah loe Angraeng khaeah dungzan ah a om o tih boeh.

then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

18 To pongah maeto hoi maeto hae lok hoiah tha angpaek oh.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
