< 1 Piter 4 >

1 Kri loe taksa ah patangkhang baktih toengah, nangcae doeh anih baktiah patangkhang toeng hanah poekhaih tawn oh: taksa ah patangkhang kami loe zaehaih hoiah loih boeh moe;
Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 a hing thung kaminawk ih taksa koehhaih baktiah khosah ai, Sithaw koehhaih baktiah ni khosak.
that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 Kalaem tangcae atue ah Gentelnawk koehhaih baktiah a sak o ih hmuen to khawt na lai soe, to nathuem ah loe taksa thacakhaih, taksa koehhaih, mu paquihaih, poihcaakhaih, kamthlai hmoekah naek caakhaih, panuet kaom krang bokhaih bangah a caeh o:
For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:
4 nangcae loe nihcae angzoeh angaekhaih thungah na thum o ai pongah ni, nihcae mah kalah kang kami ah ang hnuk o moe, kasae ang thuih o:
wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:
5 nihcae mah kadueh hoi kahing kaminawk lokcaek han amsak coek Anih khaeah, a sak o ih hmuennawk boih to taphong o tih.
who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.
6 Hae tiah oh pongah ni, kadueh kaminawk khaeah doeh kahoih tamthanglok to taphong ah oh, nihcae loe kaminawk baktiah taksa ah lokcaekhaih to om tih, toe muithla hoiah Sithaw ah hing o tih.
For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
7 Hmuennawk boih boenghaih atue zoi boeh: to pongah nangcae loe acoehaih hoiah om oh loe, lawkthuihaih hoiah zing oh.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:
8 Hmuennawk boih ah maeto hoi maeto kathuk amlunghaih to tawn oh: amlunghaih mah pop parai zaehaih to khuk tih.
above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:
9 Laisaephaih om ai ah maeto hoi maeto ang khenzawn oh.
using hospitality one to another without murmuring:
10 Kami boih mah tangqum na hnuk o, pop parai Sithaw tahmenhaih toksah kami ah na oh o baktih toengah, maeto hoi maeto toksak angbomh naah na hak o ih tangqum to patoh oh.
according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;
11 Mi kawbaktih doeh lokthuihaih tangqum to hnu nahaeloe, Sithaw ih lok baktih toengah thui nasoe; mi kawbaktih doeh toksakhaih tangqum to hnu nahaeloe, Sithaw mah paek ih toksakthaihaih baktih toengah tok to sah nasoe: to tiah ni Jesu Kri rang hoiah hmuen boih ah Sithaw ih ahmin pakoehaih to om tih, anih ah ahmin pakoehhaih hoi lensawkhaih loe dungzan hoi dungzan khoek to om nasoe. (aiōn g165)
if any man speaketh, [speaking] as it were oracles of God; if any man ministereth, [ministering] as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Palung ih kaminawk, nangcae tanoek hanah karai parai patangkhanghaih nangcae khaeah pha moe, kaom vai ai hmuen nangcae khaeah om langlacadoeh dawnrai o hmah:
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:
13 nangcae loe Kri patangkhanghaih ah athum kami ah na oh o pongah, anghoe oh; to tiah nahaeloe a lensawkhaih amtueng naah, nangcae doeh thuilaek ai anghoehaih na tawn o toeng tih.
but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
14 Kri ih ahmin pongah kasaethuihaih na tong o nahaeloe, taham na hoih o; lensawk Sithaw ih Muithla loe nangcae nuiah acuk: nihcae bang hoi khet naah Anih loe kasaethuih ih kami ah oh, nangcae bang hoi khet naah Anih loe pakoeh ih kami ah oh.
If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; because the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.
15 Nangcae thung ih mi kawbaktih doeh kami hum baktih, to tih ai boeh loe kamqu baktih, to tih ai boeh loe kasae sah kami baktih, to tih ai boeh loe minawk kasae thuih hanah tok kong ai kami baktiah na oh o han om ai.
For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men’s matters:
16 Toe mi kawbaktih doeh Kricaa baktiah patangkhang naah, azathaih tawn hmah nasoe; azat zuengah Sithaw to pakoeh nasoe.
but if [a man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.
17 Sithaw im ah lokcaek amtonghaih atue to phak boeh: aicae khae hoiah lokcaekhaih amtong hmaloe nahaeloe, Sithaw ih tamthanglok hoih tahngai ai kaminawk boenghaih cae loe kawbangmaw om tih?
For the time [is come] for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if [it begin] first at us, what [shall be] the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 Katoeng kaminawk mataeng pahlong han rai parai nahaeloe, Sithaw tang ai kaminawk hoi kami zaenawk cae loe kawbangah maw om o tih?
And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?
19 To pongah Sithaw koehhaih baktiah patangkhang kaminawk loe, kahoih hmuen sakhaih hoiah oep kaom Sahkung khaeah, a hing o haih pakhra to ap o nasoe.
Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.
