< 1 Johan 4 >

1 Palung ih kaminawk, muithla boih to tang o hmah, to muithlanawk loe Sithaw ih Muithla maw, tiah tanoek oh: pop parai angsahcop tahmaanawk long nuiah caeh o boeh.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Jesu Kri loe taksa ah angcoeng, tiah kathui muithla loe Sithaw ih Muithla ah oh, to tiah Sithaw ih Muithla to na panoek o thaih:
By this you know the Ruach of God: every spirit who confesses that Yeshua the Messiah has come in the flesh is of God,
3 Jesu Kri loe taksa ah angzoh, tiah taphong ai muithla loe Sithaw ih Muithla na ai ni: to baktih muithla loe Kri lok aek muithla ni, to muithla to angzo tih, tiah na thaih o boeh; to muithla loe vaihi doeh long nuiah oh boeh.
and every spirit who does not confess Yeshua is not of God; and this is that of the Anti-Messiah, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.
4 Nawktanawk, nangcae loe Sithaw ih kami ah na oh o, to baktih kaminawk to na pazawk o boeh: tipongah tih nahaeloe nangcae thungah kaom Anih loe long ah kaom anih pongah len kue.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
5 Nihcae loe long ih kami ah oh o, to pongah long ih hmuen to a thuih o, a thuih o ih lok to long mah tahngaih pae.
They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.
6 Aicae loe Sithaw ih kami ah a oh o: Sithaw panoek kami mah loe aicae ih lok to tahngaih; Sithaw ih kami ah om ai kami mah loe aicae ih lok to tahngai ai. Hae tiah loktang Muithla hoi lok amlai muithla to a panoek o.
We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Kang palung o ih kaminawk, maeto hoi maeto amlung o si: amlunghaih loe Sithaw ih ni; amlunghaih tawn kami loe Sithaw mah tapen ih kami ah oh moe, Sithaw to panoek.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
8 Amlunghaih tawn ai kami loe Sithaw panoek ai; Sithaw loe amlunghaih ah oh.
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 Anih rang hoiah a hing o thai hanah, Sithaw mah a tawn ih maeto khue a Capa to long ah patoeh boeh, hae tiah Sithaw amlunghaih to aicae khaeah amtueng.
By this God's love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
10 Amlunghaih loe, Aicae mah Sithaw palung ih na ai ah, aicae ang palung pongah, aicae zaehaih tahmen hanah a Capa long ah patoehhaih to ni amlunghaih ah oh.
In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Palung ih kaminawk, Sithaw mah aicae palung phi pongah, aicae doeh maeto hoi maeto amlung han oh.
Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.
12 Mi mah doeh Sithaw to hnu vai ai. Toe aicae maeto hoi maeto amlung nahaeloe, Sithaw aicae thungah oh moe, aicae thungah anih amlunghaih to akoep.
No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.
13 Anih mah angmah ih Muithla to aicae khaeah paek boeh pongah, aicae loe Anih ah a oh o moe, Anih doeh aicae ah oh toeng, tito a panoek o.
By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Ruach.
14 Long pahlongkung ah oh hanah, Ampa mah a Capa to patoeh boeh, tito a hnuk o moe, a taphong o boeh.
We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.
15 Jesu loe Sithaw Capa ni, tiah taphong kami loe, anih thungah Sithaw oh, anih doeh Sithaw thungah oh.
Whoever confesses that Yeshua is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
16 Sithaw mah aicae palunghaih to a panoek o moe, a tang o boeh. Sithaw loe amlunghaih ah oh; amlunghaih thungah kaom kami loe, Sithaw thungah oh moe, anih thungah Sithaw oh.
We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
17 Lokcaekhaih niah zithaih a tawnh o han ai ah, aicae loe amlunghaih hoi kakoep ah kho a sak o, hae long nuiah Anih baktiah kho a sak o pongah ni zithaih tawn ai ah a oh o.
In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.
18 Amlunghaih ah zithaih om ai; raihaih tong moeng tih, tiah poekhaih tawnh pongah ni zithaih to oh, kakoep amlunghaih mah loe zithaih to anghmatsak: zithaih tawn kami loe kakoep amlunghaih to tawn ai vop.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 Anih mah aicae palung hmaloe pongah, aicae mah doeh Anih to palung o toeng.
We love, because he first loved us.
20 Sithaw ka palung, tiah thuih moe, amnawk hnuma kami loe, lok amlai kami ah oh: a hnuk ih angmah ih amnawk mataeng doeh palung ai kami mah, a hnuk vai ai ih Sithaw to kawbangmaw palung thai tih?
If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 Anih khae hoiah hae kaalok hae a hnuk o. Sithaw palung kami loe angmah ih amnawk doeh palung.
This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
