< 1 Johan 2 >

1 Palung ih ka caanawk, na zae o han ai ah hae ca hae kang tarik o. Toe zaehaih sah kami hanah loe, aicae zuengah lokthuikung, Ampa hoi nawnto kaom, katoeng Jesu Kri to a tawnh o:
Dear children, I write thus to you in order that you may not sin. If any one sins, we have an Advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ the righteous;
2 Anih loe aicae zaehaih loisakkung ah oh: aicae han khue ai, long pum ah kaom kaminawk boih ih zaehaih loisakkung ah doeh oh.
and He is an atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 Anih ih kaalok to a tahngai o nahaeloe, anih to a panoek o boeh tiah amtueng.
And by this we may know that we know Him--if we obey His commands.
4 Anih to ka panoek tiah thuih, toe anih ih kaalok to pazui ai nahaeloe, lok amlai kami ah ni oh, to kami thungah loktang to om ai.
He who professes to know Him, and yet does not obey His commands, is a liar, and the truth has no place in his heart.
5 Toe mi kawbaktih doeh Anih ih lok tahngai kami loe, anih thungah Sithaw amlunghaih to akoep tih: a lok tahngaihaih rang hoiah ni anih khaeah a oh o boeh, tito a panoek o.
But whoever obeys His Message, in him love for God has in very deed reached perfection. By this we can know that we are in Him.
6 Anih ah ka hing boeh, tiah thui kami loe, anih caehhaih baktiah caeh toeng han angaih.
The man who professes to be continuing in Him is himself also bound to live as He lived.
My dearly-loved friends, it is no new command that I am now giving you, but an old command which you have had from the very beginning. By the old command I mean the teaching which you have already received.
8 Vinghaih loe laemh ving boeh moe, vaihi loe tangtang aanghaih mah toeh boeh pongah, kaalok kangtha nangcae khaeah ka tarik let, to kangtha kaalok loe Anih hoi nangcae khaeah loktang ah oh.
And yet I am giving you a new command, for such it really is, so far as both He and you are concerned: because the darkness is now passing away and the light, the true light, is already beginning to shine.
9 Aanghaih thungah ni ka oh, tiah a thuih, toe angmah ih amnawk to hnuma kami loe vaihi khoek to vinghaih thungah ni a oh vop.
Any one who professes to be in the light and yet hates his brother man is still in darkness.
10 Angmah ih amnawk palung kami loe aanghaih thungah oh, to pongah anih loe amthaek han ih loklam om ai.
He who loves his brother man continues in the light, and his life puts no stumbling-block in the way of others.
11 Toe angmah ih amnawk hnuma kami loe, vinghaih thungah oh, vinghaih thungah amkaeh, vinghaih mah mikmaengsak pongah, naa ah maw ka caeh, tito panoek ai.
But he who hates his brother man is in darkness and is walking in darkness; and he does not know where he is going--because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 Nawktanawk, anih ih ahmin hoiah na zae o haihnawk to tahmen boeh pongah, nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik.
I am writing to you, dear children, because for His sake your sins are forgiven you.
13 Ampanawk, tangsuek nathuem hoi kaom anih to na panoek o boeh pongah, nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik. Thendoengnawk, kahoih ai kaminawk to na pazawk o boeh pongah, nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik. Nawktanawk, Ampa to na panoek o boeh pongah, nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik.
I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has existed from the very beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the Evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.
14 Ampanawk, tangsuek nathuem hoi anih to na panoek o boeh pongah, nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik. Thendoengnawk, tha na cak o moe, nangcae thungah Sithaw lok oh pongah, kahoih ai kaminawk to na pazawk o, to pongah nangcae khaeah ca ka tarik.
I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has existed from the very beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong and God's Message still has a place in your hearts, and you have overcome the Evil one.
15 Long hoi a thungah kaom hmuennawk to palung o hmah. Long palung kami loe, anih thungah Ampa palunghaih to om ai.
Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If any one loves the world, there is no love in his heart for the Father.
16 Long hmuen ah kaom, taksa koehhaih, mik hoi khithaih, a tawnh ih hmuen hoi amoekhaihnawk loe Ampa khae hoiah angzo ai, long hoiah ni tacawt.
For the things in the world--the cravings of the earthly nature, the cravings of the eyes, the show and pride of life--they all come, not from the Father, but from the world.
17 Long hoi long koehhaih loe anghmat boeh: toe Sithaw koehhaih sah kami loe dungzan khoek to cak. (aiōn g165)
And the world, with its cravings, is passing away, but he who does God's will continues for ever. (aiōn g165)
18 Nawktanawk, vaihi loe boenghaih atue ah ni oh boeh: Kri lok aek kaminawk angzo o tih, tiah na thaih o baktih toengah, pop parai Kri ih lokaek kaminawk vaihi angzoh o boeh; to pongah vaihi loe boenghaih atue boeh ni, tito a panoek o.
Dear children, the last hour has come; and as you once heard that there was to be an anti-Christ, so even now many anti-Christs have appeared. By this we may know that the last hour has come.
19 Nihcae loe aicae khae hoi tacawt o ving boeh, nihcae loe aicae ih kami na ai ni; aicae kami ah om o nahaeloe, aicae hoi nawnto om o poe tih: toe tacawt o ving boeh pongah, nihcae loe aicae ih kami na ai boeh ni, tiah amtueng boeh.
They have gone forth from our midst, but they did not really belong to us; for had they belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they left us that it might be manifest that professed believers do not all belong to us.
20 Toe nangcae loe Kaciim Kami mah situi ang bawh o pongah, hmuennawk boih na panoek o.
As for you, you have an anointing from the holy One and have perfect knowledge.
21 Loktang na panoek o ai pongah hae ca hae ka tarik ih na ai ni, loktang to na panoek o, amsawnlok thuihaih loe loktang thung hoiah angzo ai, tiah na panoek o pongah ni ca kang tarik o.
I have written to you, not because you are ignorant of the truth, but because you know it, and you know that nothing false comes from the truth.
22 Lok amlai kami loe mi aa? Jesu loe Kri na ai ni, tiah angaek kami to ni. Ampa hoi Capa talawk ai kami loe Kri ih misa ah oh.
Who is a liar compared with him who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who disowns the Father and the Son is the anti-Christ.
23 Capa lokaek kami loe, Ampa to tawn ai: toe Capa talawk kami loe, Ampa doeh a tawnh.
No one who disowns the Son has the Father. He who acknowledges the Son has also the Father.
As for you, let the teaching which you have received from the very beginning continue in your hearts. If that teaching does continue in your hearts, you also will continue to be in union with the Son and with the Father.
25 Anih mah aicae khaeah paek ih lokkamhaih loe, dungzan hinghaih lok hae ni. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the promise which He Himself has given us--the Life of the Ages. (aiōnios g166)
26 Acoehaih hoi kho na sak o thai hanah nangcae aling han pacaeng kaminawk kawng to hae tiah kang tarik o.
I have thus written to you concerning those who are leading you astray.
27 Toe nangcae situi bawh Anih to nangcae thungah oh pongah, nangcae loe minawk mah patuk han angaih ai: to tiah nangcae situi bawh kami mah hmuennawk boih ang patuk o, Anih loe loktang ah oh moe, lok amlai ai, Anih mah to tiah ang patuk o baktih toengah, Anih khaeah na oh o poe han oh.
And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains within you, and there is no need for any one to teach you. But since His anointing gives you instruction in all things--and is true and is no falsehood--you are continuing in union with Him even as it has taught you to do.
28 Nawktanawk, vaihi anih khaeah om o poe ah; to tiah ni anih amtueng naah, aicae mah angoephaih a tawn o ueloe, anih angzoh naah a hmaa ah azathaih tawn ai ah a om o tih.
And now, dear children, continue in union with Him; so that, if He re-appears, we may have perfect confidence, and may not shrink away in shame from His presence at His Coming.
29 Anih loe katoeng kami ah oh, tiah na panoek o nahaeloe, toenghaih sah kaminawk boih loe anih mah tapen ih caa ah oh o, tiah panoek kami ah na oh o.
Since you know that He is righteous, be assured also that the man who habitually acts righteously is a child of His.
