< Luka 5 >

1 Tsiku lina Yesu anayima mʼmbali mwa nyanja ya Genesareti, gulu la anthu litamuzungulira likumvetsera mawu a Mulungu.
Now while the multitude pressed on him and heard ha D'var Elohim · the Word of God·, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret.
2 Iye anaona mabwato awiri ali mʼmphepete mwa nyanja, asodzi amene ankachapa makhoka awo atawasiya pamenepo.
He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 Iye analowa mʼbwato limodzi limene linali la Simoni, ndi kumupempha kuti alikankhire mʼkati mwa nyanja pangʼono. Kenaka Iye anakhala pansi nayamba kuphunzitsa anthu ali mʼbwatomo.
He entered into one of the boats, which was Simeon [Hearing]’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 Atatha kuyankhula anati kwa Simoni, “Kankhirani kwa kuya ndipo muponye makhoka kuti mugwire nsomba.”
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simeon [Hearing], “Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.”
5 Simoni anayankha kuti, “Ambuye, tagwira ntchito molimbika usiku wonse, koma sitinagwire kanthu. Koma pakuti mwatero, ndiponya makhoka.”
Simeon [Hearing] answered him, “Master, we worked all night, and took nothing; but at your word I will let down the net.”
6 Atachita izi, anagwira nsomba zambiri kotero kuti makhoka awo anayamba kungʼambika.
When they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 Choncho anakodola anzawo a bwato linalo kuti abwere ndi kuwathandiza, ndipo anabwera nadzaza mabwato onse awiri mpaka kuyamba kumira.
They beckoned to their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. They came, and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.
8 Simoni Petro ataona izi, anagwa pa mawondo a Yesu nati, “Chokani kwa ine Ambuye: Ine ndine munthu wochimwa!”
But Simeon Peter [Hearing Rock], when he saw it, fell down at Yeshua [Salvation]'s knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.”
9 Iye ndi anzake onse anadabwa ndi nsomba zimene anagwira,
For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught;
10 chimodzimodzinso Yakobo ndi Yohane, ana a Zebedayo, anzake a Simoniyo. Kenaka Yesu anati kwa Simoni, “Musachite mantha; kuyambira tsopano ndidzakusandutsani asodzi a anthu.”
and so also were James [Surplanter] and John [Yah is gracious], sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], who were partners with Simeon [Hearing]. Yeshua [Salvation] said to Simeon [Hearing], “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive.”
11 Kenaka anakokera mabwato awo ku mtunda, nasiya zonse namutsata Iye.
When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
12 Yesu ali ku mudzi wina, munthu amene anali ndi khate thupi lonse anabwera kwa Iye. Munthuyo ataona Yesu, anagwa chafufumimba ndipo anamupempha Iye kuti, “Ambuye, ngati mukufuna, mukhoza kundiyeretsa.”
While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of tzara'at ·leprosy·. When he saw Yeshua [Salvation], he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, “Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.”
13 Yesu anatambasula dzanja lake namukhudza munthuyo. Iye anati, “Ine ndikufuna, yeretsedwa!” Ndipo nthawi yomweyo khate lake linachoka.
He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be made clean.” Immediately the tzara'at ·leprosy· left him.
14 Kenaka Yesu anamulamula kuti, “Usawuze wina aliyense, koma pita, kadzionetse kwa wansembe ndi kukapereka nsembe zimene Mose anakulamulirani za kuyeretsedwa kwanu monga umboni kwa iwo.”
He commanded him to tell no one. “Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the priest and make an offer for your cleansing, as Moses [Drawn out] commanded.”
15 Koma mbiri yake inafalikirabe kwambiri kotero kuti magulu a anthu anabwera kudzamvetsera ndi kuti achiritsidwe ku matenda awo.
But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 Koma Yesu nthawi zambiri ankachoka kupita ku malo a yekha kukapemphera.
But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
17 Tsiku lina pamene ankaphunzitsa, Afarisi ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo, amene anachokera ku midzi yonse ya Galileya ndi ku Yudeya ndi Yerusalemu, anakhala pansi pomwepo. Ndipo mphamvu ya Ambuye inalipo yakuti Iye achiritse odwala.
On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee [District, Circuit], Judea [Praise], and Jerusalem [City of peace]. The power of MarYah [Master Yahweh] was with him to heal them.
18 Amuna ena anabwera atanyamula munthu wofa ziwalo pa mphasa ndipo anayesa kumulowetsa mʼnyumba kuti amugoneke pamaso pa Yesu.
Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a cot, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Yeshua [Salvation].
Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his cot into the middle before Yeshua [Salvation].
20 Yesu ataona chikhulupiriro chawo, anati, “Mnzanga, machimo ako akhululukidwa.”
Seeing their trusting faith, he said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 Afarisi ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo anayamba kuganiza mwa iwo okha kuti, “Kodi munthu uyu ndi ndani amene ayankhula zamwano? Kodi ndani amene angakhululukire machimo kupatula Mulungu?”
The Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] began to reason, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?”
22 Yesu anadziwa zomwe iwo amaganiza ndipo anafunsa kuti, “Kodi ndi chifukwa chiyani mukuganiza zimenezi mʼmitima mwanu?
But Yeshua [Salvation], perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?
23 Kodi chapafupi ndi chiti: kunena kuti, ‘Machimo ako akhululukidwa,’ kapena kunena kuti, ‘Nyamuka ndipo yenda?’”
Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’
24 Koma kuti inu mudziwe kuti Mwana wa Munthu ali ndi ulamuliro pa dziko lapansi wokhululukira machimo, Iye anati kwa munthu wofa ziwaloyo, “Ine ndikuwuza iwe kuti, ‘Imirira, nyamula mphasa ndipo uzipita kwanu.’”
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (he said to the paralyzed man), “I tell you, arise, and take up your cot, and go to your house.”
25 Nthawi yomweyo anayimirira patsogolo pawo, nanyamula mphasa yake ndipo anapita kwawo akuyamika Mulungu.
Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26 Aliyense anadabwa ndi kuchita mantha ndipo anayamika Mulungu. Iwo anadabwa kwambiri ndipo anati, “Lero taona zinthu zosayiwalika.”
Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”
27 Zitatha izi, Yesu anachoka ndipo anaona wolandira msonkho dzina lake Levi atakhala mʼnyumba ya msonkho. Yesu anati kwa iye, “Nditsate Ine.”
After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi [United with] sitting at the tax office, and said to him, “Follow me!”
28 Ndipo Levi anayimirira, nasiya zonse ndi kumutsata Iye.
He left everything, and rose up and followed him.
29 Kenaka Levi anakonzera Yesu phwando lalikulu ku nyumba yake ndipo gulu lalikulu la amisonkho ndi ena ankadya naye pamodzi.
Levi [United with] made a great feast for him in his house. There was a great crowd of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them.
30 Koma Afarisi ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo amene anali a gulu lawo anadandaula kwa ophunzira ake, “Kodi ndi chifukwa chiyani mukudya ndi kumwa pamodzi ndi amisonkho ndi ochimwa?”
Their Torah-Teachers and the Pharisees [Separated] murmured against his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Yesu anawayankha kuti, “Amene sakudwala safuna singʼanga, koma odwala.
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
32 Ine sindinabwere kudzayitana olungama, koma ochimwa kuti atembenuke mtima.”
I have not come to call the upright, but sinners to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
33 Iwo anati kwa Iye, “Ophunzira a Yohane amasala kudya ndi kupemphera kawirikawiri, monganso ophunzira a Afarisi, koma anu amangodya ndi kumwa.”
They said to him, “Why do John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples often fast and pray, likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees [Separated], but yours eat and drink?”
34 Yesu anawayankha kuti, “Kodi alendo a mkwati angasale kudya pamene mkwati ali pakati pawo?
He said to them, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 Koma nthawi ikubwera pamene mkwati adzachotsedwa pakati pawo. Masiku amenewo adzasala kudya.”
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them. Then they will fast in those days.”
He also told a parable to them. “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old garment, or else he will tear the new, and also the piece from the new will not match the old.
37 Ndipo palibe amene amakhuthulira vinyo watsopano mʼmatumba a vinyo akale. Ngati atatero, vinyo watsopanoyo adzaphulitsa zikopazo, vinyo adzatayika ndipo zikopa za vinyozo zidzawonongeka.
No one puts new wine into old wine skins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
38 Ayi, vinyo watsopano ayenera kuthiridwa mʼmatumba a vinyo azikopa zatsopano.
But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.
39 Ndipo palibe amene atamwa vinyo wakale amafuna watsopano, pakuti amati, ‘Wakale ndi okoma.’”
No man having drunk old wine immediately desires new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
