ᏧᏓᏏ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎯ 1
1 ᎠᏴ ᏧᏓᏏ, ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎠᎩᏅᏏᏓᏍᏗ ᎠᎴ ᏥᎻ ᏦᏍᏓᏓᏅᏟ, ᏫᏨᏲᎵᎦ ᏂᎯ ᏂᏥᏍᎦᏅᎾ ᎢᏨᏁᎸᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎦᏴᏎᎨᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᏂᏌᏛ ᎡᏥᏍᏆᏂᎪᏔᏅᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎡᏥᏯᏅᏛ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏘ ᎢᏣᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ;
This letter comes from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and James' brother. I am writing to those who are called and loved by God the Father, and who are kept safe by Jesus Christ:
2 ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏓᎨᏳᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎡᏥᏁᏉᎡᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
May God's mercy, peace, and love increase in your experience!
3 ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏆᏟᏂᎬᏁᎸ ᏫᏨᏲᏪᎳᏁᏗᏱ ᏂᎦᏗᏳᏉ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎢᎦᎵᏍᏕᎸᏙᏗ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ, ᎤᏚᎸᏗ ᎾᏆᎵᏍᏓᏁᎸᎩ ᏫᏨᏲᏪᏔᏁᎲ ᎢᏨᏍᏗᏰᏙᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏛ ᎢᏣᏗᏒᏎᏗᏱ ᎪᎯᏳᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᏳᎳ ᏗᎨᏥᏲᎯᏎᎸᎯ ᏥᎩ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ.
My friends, I was already looking forward to writing to you about the salvation that we share. But now I need to write urgently to you and encourage you to vigorously defend the truth about God, given once and for all time to God's holy people.
4 ᎩᎶᏰᏃ ᎢᏳᎾᏍᏗ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᎤᏂᏴᎸᎯ ᎢᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᏅᏓᎬᏩᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᏗᎨᎪᎥᎯ ᏥᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏗᎨᎫᎪᏓᏁᏗᏱ; ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᏚᎾᏁᎶᏛᎾ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏯ, ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᏂᏁᏟᏴᏍᎩ ᎾᎵᏏᎾᎯᏍᏛᎾ ᎠᎴᏂᏓᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏯᏅᏁᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᎾᏓᏱᎯ ᎤᏩᏒᎯᏳ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ.
For some people have quietly crept in among you. They were written about and condemned a long time ago, for they are wicked people who pervert God's grace, turning it into a license to immorality, while also denying our Lord and master Jesus Christ.
5 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎠᏆᏚᎵᎭ ᎢᏨᏯᏅᏓᏗᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᎦᏳᎳ ᏥᏥᎦᏔᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏚᏭᏓᏓᏎ ᏴᏫ ᎢᏥᏈᏱ ᎦᏓ ᎠᎲ, ᎣᏂ ᏥᏚᏛᏔᏁ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏄᏃᎯᏳᏅᎾ.
Even though you already know this, I want to remind you that though the Lord saved his people out of the land of Egypt, later he still destroyed those who disbelieved.
6 ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᏄᏂᏍᏆᏂᎪᏔᏅᎾ ᏥᎨᏎ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏌᏕᎩ ᏂᎨᎬᏁᎸ ᏧᏅᏕᏤᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎪᎯ ᎠᏁᎲᎢ, ᏧᏓᏕᏒᏛ ᏗᎬᏩᏲᎢᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏕᎨᎦᎸᏍᏗ ᎤᎵᏏᎬᎢ, ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᎢᎦ ᎠᏍᏆᎸᎲ ᎬᏗᏍᎩ. (aïdios g126)
Even those angels that were not content with their God-given positions but abandoned their rightful places—he has placed them in eternal chains of darkness until the great Day of Judgment. (aïdios g126)
7 ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏐᏓᎻ ᎠᎴ ᎪᎹᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎾᎥ ᏥᏕᎦᏚᎮᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᎾᏛᏁᎮ ᏓᎾᏓᏲᏍᎨ ᎤᏕᎵᏛ ᏗᏂᏏᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏧᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗᏱ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎮ ᎤᏇᏓᎵ ᎠᏍᏓᏳᏛᏍᏗ ᎤᏇᏓᎵ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᏓᏕᏯᏔᎲᏍᎩ ᏂᎨᎬᏁᎴᎢ ᎠᏂᎩᎵᏲᎨ ᎤᏂᏍᏛᏗᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎬᏠᏍᎩ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎠᏥᎸᏱ. (aiōnios g166)
In just the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns nearby that pursued immorality and perverted sex are provided as an example of those that experience the punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios g166)
8 ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎯᎠ ᎠᎾᏍᎩᏓᏒᎥᏍᎩ ᎦᏓᎭ ᎾᏅᏁᎭ ᎤᏂᏇᏓᎸᎢ, ᏗᏂᏍᎦᎩ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏌᏕᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᎬᏩᏂᏐᏢᏗ ᎨᏥᎸᏉᏗ.
Likewise these dreamers pollute their bodies, disregard authority, and insult heavenly beings.
9 ᏑᏱᎩᎵᏍᎩᏂ ᏄᎬᏫᏳᏌᏕᎩ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎠᏍᎩᎾ ᎤᎾᏗᏒᎸ, ᎤᎾᏗᏒᎸ ᎠᏂᏬᏂᏍᎬ ᎼᏏ ᎠᏰᎸᎢ, ᎹᏱᎩᎵ ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎤᏐᏅ ᏳᎳᏫᏎᎴᎢ, ᎯᎠᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ, ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏫᏣᏍᎦᎩ.
Even the archangel Michael, when he was arguing with the devil over Moses' body, didn't dare to condemn him with a slanderous insult, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you.”
10 ᎯᎠᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏐᏅ ᎠᏂᏃᎮᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᏂᎦᏔᎲᎾ; ᎾᏍᎩᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏅᏒ ᎨᏒ ᏥᎾᎦᏔᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎦᎪᎵᏍᏗᏉ ᏣᏁᎿᎭᎠ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎲᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᎿᎭᎤᏲ ᎾᎾᏓᏛᏁᎭ.
But these people ridicule whatever they don't understand; and what they do understand they instinctively follow like unthinking animals—this is what destroys them.
11 ᎤᏲ ᏫᏄᎾᎵᏍᏓᏏ! ᎨᎾᏰᏃ ᎤᏅᏅ ᎤᏂᏍᏓᏩᏕᏅ, ᎠᎴ ᎨᎦᎫᏴᏓᏁᏗ ᎤᎾᏚᎵᏍᎬ ᎤᏂᎬᎥᏍᎬ ᎤᏂᎨᎮᎾ ᏇᎳᎻ ᎤᎵᏓᏍᏔᏅ, ᎠᎴ ᎨᏥᏛᏔᏅ, ᏚᏂᎦᏘᎸᏒ ᎪᎵ ᏧᎦᏘᎸᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ.
They're in terrible trouble! For they have followed Cain's way. Like Balaam and his delusion, they have abandoned themselves to the profit motive. Like Korah and his rebellion, they have destroyed themselves.
12 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏅᏲᎯ ᏚᏓᏓᎳ ᏗᏣᏁᎶᏗ ᏕᏣᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎬᎢ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᎢᏧᎳᏕᏣᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᎦ ᎾᏂᎾᏰᏍᎬᎾ ᎠᎾᎵᏍᏓᏴᎲᏍᎪᎢ; ᏚᎶᎩᎸ ᎠᎹ ᏂᏚᏁᎲᎾ, ᎤᏃᎴ ᏧᏱᎴᎪᎢ; ᏕᏡᎬ ᏧᎳᏍᏚᏬᎠᏔᎯ, ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏄᎾᏓᏓᏁᎲᎾ, ᏔᎵ ᎢᏳᏩᎫᏗ ᎤᏩᏴᏒᎯ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ, ᏗᏰᎯᏛ ᏗᎧᎾᏍᏕᏢᏔᏅᎯ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ.
These people spoil your fellowship meals, for they are selfish shepherds that don't have the slightest sense of shame—they only take care of themselves. They're clouds blown along by the wind that bring no rain. They're bare trees without fruit—twice dead, pulled out by the roots.
13 ᎠᎺᏉᎯ ᎤᎿᎭᎸᎯ ᏗᎵᏍᏗᎳᏁᎩ, ᎤᏅᏒ ᎤᎾᏕᎰᎯᏍᏗᏍᎩ ᎠᏂᎾᏄᎪᏫᏍᎩ; ᏃᏈᏏ ᎤᏂᏅᏅ ᎤᎾᏞᏛ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎬᎿᎭᎨ ᎤᎵᏏᎬ ᏥᎨᎦᏛᏅᎢᏍᏓᏁᎸ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᏗᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ. (aiōn g165)
They're violent ocean waves, foaming in their own disgrace. They're false stars, doomed forever to utter darkness. (aiōn g165)
14 ᎠᎴ ᎢᎾᎩ, ᎠᏓᏫ ᎤᏕᏅ ᎦᎵᏉᎩᏁ ᏪᎯ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎬ ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏚᏁᎢᏍᏔᏁ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ, ᎬᏂᏳᏉ, ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏓᎦᎷᏥ ᏓᏘᏁᎮᏍᏗ ᎠᏍᎪ ᎢᏯᎦᏴᎵ ᏧᏙᎵ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ,
Enoch, seven generations on from Adam, spoke prophetically about these people: “Look! The Lord is coming, together with thousands and thousands of his holy ones
15 ᏧᏭᎪᏓᏁᏗᏱ ᎾᏂᎥᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᎬᏍᎪᎸᏗᏱ ᎾᏂᎥ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᏚᎾᏁᎶᏛᎾ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎤᏣᏘᏂ ᏗᎦᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᏚᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎸᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏂᎦᎥ ᏂᏚᏳᎪᏛᎾ ᏄᏂᏪᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᏚᎾᏁᎶᏛᎾ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏡᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
to judge everyone, to reveal all the wicked things people have done, and all the terrible things hostile sinners have said against him.”
16 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏂᎪᏁᎶᎯᏌᏘ, ᎤᏁᎵᎯᏍᎩ, ᎤᏅᏒ ᎤᎾᏚᎸᏅᎥᏍᎬ ᎠᏂᏍᏓᏩᏕᎩ; ᏗᏂᎰᎵᏃ ᏓᏅᏗᏍᎪ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎠᏢᏈᏍᏗ ᎠᏂᏬᏂᏍᎪᎢ, ᏴᏫ ᏚᎾᎧᏛ ᏓᏂᎸᏉᏗᏍᎪ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎢᎬᏩᎾᎵᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎤᏅᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.
Such people are grumblers, always complaining. They follow their own evil desires, speaking boastfully about themselves, and flattering others to get what they want.
17 ᎠᏎᏃ, ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎢᏣᏅᏓᏓ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᏛ ᎨᏥᏅᏏᏛ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏧᏤᎵᎦ;
But you, my dear friends, please remember what you were told by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
18 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ, ᎤᎵᏍᏆᎸᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎠᏁᎮᏍᏗ ᎠᏂᏐᏢᎢᏍᏗᏍᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏅᏒ ᎤᎾᏚᎸᏅᎥᏍᎬ ᏂᏚᏳᎪᏛᎾ ᎠᏂᏍᏓᏩᏕᎩ.
They explained to you that in the last times mockers would come, following their own wicked desires.
19 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎠᎾᏓᏓᎴᏗᏍᎩ ᏥᎩ, ᎤᏇᏓᎵᏉ ᎠᏂᏍᏓᏩᏕᎩ, ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᏄᏁᎲᎾ.
They cause divisions; they are worldly people who don't have the Spirit.
20 ᏂᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎤᏣᏘ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎢᏦᎯᏳᏒ ᎢᏣᎵᎫᏍᏛᏗᏍᎬᎢ, ᏓᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᎬᏗ ᎢᏣᏙᎵᏍᏗᏍᎬᎢ,
But you, my friends, are to build yourselves up through your trust in God. Pray in the Holy Spirit,
keep yourselves safe in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ who brings eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
22 ᎢᎦᏛᏃ ᏕᏥᏙᏓᎨᏍᏗ, ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᏂᏕᏣᏛᏁᎮᏍᏗ;
Show kindness to those who doubt.
23 ᎠᏂᏐᎢᏃ ᎨᏥᎾᏰᏍᎩ ᏕᏥᏍᏕᎵᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᏕᏨᏕᎨᏍᏗ ᎠᏥᎸᏱ; ᎢᏥᏂᏆᏘᎮᏍᏗ ᎠᏄᏬ ᎤᏇᏓᎸ ᎠᏚᏯᏍᏙᏔᏅᎯ.
Save those you can by snatching them out of the fire. Show mercy—but with great care, hating even the “clothing” that is contaminated by sinful human nature.
24 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏰᎵᏉ ᎬᏩᏲᏍᏙᏙᏗ ᏥᎩ ᏗᏥᏅᎢᏍᏗᏱ, ᎠᎴ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎢᎨᏨᏁᏗ ᏥᎩ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎤᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏛᎢ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏁᏥᎳᏫᏎᎲᎾ ᎢᎬᏱᏗᏢ ᏓᎧᏅ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎨᏒᎢ,
Now to him who can keep you from falling, and who can bring you into his glorious presence without fault, and with great joy,
