ᏈᏓ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎯ 3
1 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎪᏪᎵ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎢᏨᏲᏪᎳᏏ ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ; ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᎿᎭᏕᏨᏰᏍᏓᏁ ᎤᏠᎾᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏕᏣᏓᏅᏛ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏨᏯᏅᏓᏗᏍᏗᏍᎬᎢ,
I write to you now this second letter, beloved, in which I arouse your sincere mind by a reminder,
2 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏣᏅᏓᏗᏍᏗᏱ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᏛ ᎨᏥᎸᏉᏗ ᎠᎾᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏴ ᏦᎦᏕᏲᏅᎯ ᎣᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏍᏕᎵᏍᎩ.
to remember the sayings that were earlier spoken by the holy prophets, and of the command of your apostles of the Lord and Savior.
3 ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏕᏍᏗ ᎢᎬᏱ ᎢᏣᏅᏖᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᏅᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎤᏂᎷᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᏂᏐᏢᎢᏍᏗᏍᎩ ᎤᏅᏒ ᎤᎾᏚᎸᏅᎥᏍᎬ ᎠᏂᏍᏓᏩᏕᎩ,
Knowing this first, that there will come at the end of the days, scoffers, proceeding according to their own desires,
4 ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᎢᏯᏂᏪᏍᎩ, ᎦᏙ ᎤᎵᏍᏔᏅ ᎤᎷᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎤᏚᎢᏍᏔᏅᎢ? ᎠᏂᎦᏴᎵᎨᏰᏃ ᎬᏩᏂᎵᏅᏨᎯ ᏅᏓᎬᏩᎴᏅᏛ, ᏅᏩᏍᏗᏉ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏥᏄᏍᏛᏉ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᎲ ᎤᏬᏢᏅᏅ ᏅᏓᎬᏩᏓᎴᏅᏛ.
and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For, from since the fathers became asleep, all things continue this way from the beginning of creation.
5 ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᎤᏅᏒ ᎤᎾᏚᎸᏛ ᎾᏂᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᏥᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏁᏨ ᏅᏧᎵᏍᏙᏔᏅ ᎦᎸᎶ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᏥᎨᏎᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎠᎹᏱ ᎦᏚ ᏧᎦᏚᏕᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏭᎯ ᏥᎦᏙᎨᎢ;
For this is willfully ignored by them, that long ago there were heavens, and an earth that came together out of water and by water by the word of God,
6 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎾᎯᏳ ᏥᎨᏎ ᎠᎹᏱᎭ ᏥᏄᎵᏍᏔᏁᎢ, ᎤᏲᏤᎢ.
by which the world then perished, having been overflowed with water.
7 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎦᎸᎶᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎪᎯ ᏥᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩᏉ ᎤᏁᏨ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᏓᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ, ᎠᏥᎸᏱ ᏭᎾᎵᏰᎢᎶᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᏓᏍᏆᏂᎪᏗ ᎬᏂ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎨᏥᏛᏙᏗᏱ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᏚᎾᏁᎶᏛᎾ.
But now the heavens and the earth, which have been stored up by the same word, are being preserved for fire in a day of judgment and destruction of irreverent men.
8 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏑᏓᎴᎩ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏂᏥᎦᏔᎲᎾᏉ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏌᏉ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏙᏗᎧᏂᏍᎬ ᏌᏉ ᎢᏯᎦᏴᎵ ᎢᏧᏕᏘᏴᏛ ᎤᏠᏱ, ᏌᏉᏃ ᎢᏯᎦᏴᎵ ᎢᏧᏕᏘᏴᏛ ᏌᏉ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏠᏱ.
But beloved, let not this one thing be ignored by you, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎥᏝ ᎤᏍᎦᏃᎵᏳ ᏱᎩ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎤᏚᎢᏍᏔᏅ ᎢᏳᏛᏁᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎩᎶ ᎾᏍᎦᏃᎳ ᏣᏁᎵᎭ, ᎬᏂᏗᏳᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᏴ ᎢᎩᎦᏘᏴᎢ, ᏄᏚᎵᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗᏱ, ᏂᎦᏗᏳᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏂᎷᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎦᏁᏟᏴᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎣᏓᏅᏛᎢ.
The Lord is not slack about his promise, as some regard slackness, but is patient toward us, not wanting any to perish, but all to go forward to repentance.
10 ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎢᎦ ᎠᏎ ᏓᎦᎷᏥ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎦᏃᏍᎩᏍᎩ ᏒᏃᏱ ᏥᎦᎷᎪᎢ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᎦᎸᎶᎢ ᏓᎦᎶᏐᏂ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎤᏃᏴᎨᏍᏗ, ᎪᏢᏔᏅᎯᏃ ᎠᏓᏪᎵᎩᏍᎬ ᏛᎪᏂ, ᎠᎴ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎾᎿᎭᏃ ᎪᏢᏅᏅᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎪᎲᏍᏙᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, during which the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the elements, being intensely hot, will be disintegrated, and the earth and the works in it will be destroyed by fire.
11 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᏂᎦᏗᏳ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᎤᏗᏒᎲᏍᏗ ᏥᎩ, ᏂᎦᎥ ᏂᏥᏍᎦᏅᎾ ᏱᎩ ᎢᏣᎴᏂᏙᎲᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎦᎾᏰᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏤᎲᎢ!
Therefore, all these things being disintegrated, what kind ought ye to be in holy actions and pieties,
12 ᏱᏥᎦᏖᏃᎭ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏣᏘ ᏱᏣᏚᎵᎭ ᎤᎷᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎢᎦ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᎦᎸᎶ ᎤᏥᏍᏢ ᏨᏛᏗᏒᏂ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎪᏢᏔᏅᎯ ᎠᏓᏪᎵᎩᏍᎬ ᏛᏗᏌᏂ.
anticipating and hastening the coming of the day of God, by which the heavens, being made fiery hot, will be disintegrated, and the elements dissolve, being intensely hot?
13 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎤᏚᎢᏍᏔᏅ ᎢᏗᎦᏖᏃᎭ ᎢᏤ ᎦᎸᎶᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎢᏤ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎾᎿᎭᎡᎲ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ.
But we anticipate a new heavens and a new earth according to his promise, in which righteousness dwells.
14 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ, ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᏥᏥᎦᏖᏃᎭ, ᎢᏣᏟᏂᎬᏏ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎢᏨᏓᏅᏛ ᎢᏥᏩᏛᏗᏱ ᏄᏓᏓᎸᎾ ᎠᎴ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏁᏤᎵᏎᎲᎾ.
Therefore, beloved, anticipating these things, be diligent to be found by him in peace, without spot and blameless.
15 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎬᏂᏗᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎢᎦᏤᎵᎦ ᎠᎵᏍᏕᎸᏙᏗ ᎢᏥᏰᎸᏎᏍᏗ; ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎡᏗᎨᏳᎢ ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ ᏉᎳ ᎬᏗᏍᎬ ᎠᎦᏙᎥᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᏥᏁᎸ ᏥᏦᏪᎳᏁᎸ;
And consider the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation, just as also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him,
16 ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏂᎦᏛ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏬᏪᎳᏅᎯ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏂᏕᎬᏁᎰ ᎧᏁᎢᏍᏗᏍᎪ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ; ᎾᎿᎭᎤᏓᏑᏯ ᎢᎦᏛ ᎠᏍᏓᏱᏳ ᎪᎵᏍᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏂᏭᎾᏕᎶᏆᎥᎾ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᏩᎾᎦᎳ ᏓᏂᏁᏟᏴᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏗᏐᎢ ᎪᏪᎵ ᏂᏓᏅᏁᎲᎢ, ᎤᏅᏒᏉ ᎤᏂᏛᏗᏍᎩ ᎨᏒᎢ.
as also in all his letters, speaking in them about these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist, as also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏂᎯ ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᏳᎳ ᏥᏥᎦᏔᎭ, ᎢᏤᏯᏔᎮᏍᏗ, ᏞᏍᏗ ᎠᏂᎾᎦᎾ ᎤᏂᎵᏓᏍᏔᏅ ᏕᏣᏘᏂᏒ ᏗᏥᏅᏨᎩ ᏗᏥᏲᏒᎩ ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏛ ᏂᏣᏛᏅᎢ.
Ye therefore, beloved, knowing in advance, keep watch, lest, having accommodated to the error of the lawless, ye fall from your own steadfastness.
