ᏉᎳ ᏕᏏᎶᏂᎦ ᎠᏁᎯ ᎢᎬᏱᏱ ᏧᏬᏪᎳᏁᎸᎯ 5

1 ᎾᎯᏳᏍᎩᏂ ᎨᏒᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎾᎯᏳ ᏕᎨᏌᏗᏒᎢ, ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ, ᎥᏝ ᎤᏚᎸᏗ ᏱᏂᏣᎵᏍᏓᏁᎭ ᎢᏨᏲᏪᎳᏁᏗᏱ.

And concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need of my writing to you,

2 ᎢᏨᏒᏰᏃ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎢᏥᎦᏔ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎢᎦ ᎤᎵᏰᎢᎶᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎦᏃᏍᎩᏍᎩ ᏒᏃᏱ ᏥᎦᎷᎪᎢ.

for yourselves have known thoroughly that the day of the Lord as a thief in the night doth so come,

3 ᎾᎯᏳᏰᏃ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎠᎴ ᏄᎾᏰᎯᏍᏛᎾ ᎠᎾᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎿᎭᏉ ᏄᏰᎶᎢᏍᏔᏅᏛ ᎠᏓᏛᏗᏍᎩ ᎤᏂᎷᏤᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎠᎩᎵᏯ ᏧᎷᏤᎰ ᎠᎨᏴ ᎦᏁᎵᏛ; ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎤᎾᏗᏫᏎᏗ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ.

for when they may say, Peace and surety, then sudden destruction doth stand by them, as the travail [doth] her who is with child, and they shall not escape;

4 ᏂᎯᏍᎩᏂ, ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ, ᎥᏝ ᎤᎵᏏᎬ ᏱᏤᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎾᎯᏳ ᎢᎦ ᎨᏣᏢᏔᏍᏗ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎦᏃᏍᎩᏍᎩ ᏧᏢᏔᏍᎪᎢ.

and ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day may catch you as a thief;

5 ᏂᏥᎥᎢ ᎢᎦ-ᎦᏘ ᏧᏪᏥ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᎦ ᏧᏪᏥ; ᎥᏝ ᏒᏃᏱ ᎠᎴ ᎤᎵᏏᎬ ᎢᏕᎯ ᏱᎩ.

all ye are sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness,

6 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏱᏗᎵᎮᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎠᏂᏐᎢ ᎾᎾᏛᏁᎲᎢ; ᎢᏗᏯᏫᏍᎨᏍᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᎴ ᏂᏗᎩᏴᏍᏕᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.

so, then, we may not sleep as also the others, but watch and be sober,

7 ᎠᏂᎵᎯᏰᏃ, ᏒᏃᏱ ᏓᏂᎵᎰᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏧᏂᏴᏍᏕᏍᎩ, ᏒᏃᏱ ᏚᏂᏴᏍᏕᏍᎪᎢ.

for those sleeping, by night do sleep, and those making themselves drunk, by night are drunken,

8 ᎠᏴᏍᎩᏂ ᎢᎦ ᎢᏕᎯ ᏥᎩ ᏂᏗᎩᏴᏍᏕᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎠᏓᏁᏣᏍᏚᎶ ᎪᎯᏳᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏓᎨᏳᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏓᏓᏁᏥᏍᏚᎶᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎡᎩᏍᏕᎸᏗᏱᏃ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎢᎬᏒ ᎢᎦᎵᏍᏚᎶᏕᏍᏗ.

and we, being of the day — let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and an helmet — a hope of salvation,

9 ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏰᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏱᎦᏑᏰᏒ ᎤᏔᎳᏬᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᎩᎷᏤᏗᏱ; ᎠᎵᏍᏕᎸᏙᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᎢᎩᏩᏛᏗᏱ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᏂᏌᏛ;

because God did not appoint us to anger, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᎩᏲᎱᎯᏎᎴᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᏉ ᏱᏗᎵᎭ ᎠᎴ ᏂᏗᎵᎲᎾ ᏱᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏧᎳᎭ ᏫᎦᏕᏗᏱ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ.

who did die for us, that whether we wake — whether we sleep — together with him we may live;

11 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ, ᏕᏣᏓᎦᎵᏍᏓᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᏕᏣᏓᎵᏂᎪᎯᏍᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᏥᏂᏣᏛᏁᎭ.

wherefore, comfort ye one another, and build ye up, one the one, as also ye do.

12 ᎠᎴ ᎢᏨᏔᏲᏎᎭ, ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᏥᎦᏔᎯ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏧᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎯ ᎢᏤᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᎨᏣᏁᎶᏗ ᏥᎩ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏕᏣᏁᎶᏛᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏥᎨᏣᏅᏓᏗᏍᏗᎭ;

And we ask you, brethren, to know those labouring among you, and leading you in the Lord, and admonishing you,

13 ᎠᎴ ᎤᏣᏘ ᏗᏥᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎠᏓᎨᏳᏗ ᎬᏗ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏚᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲᎢ. ᎠᎴ ᏙᎯᏱ ᏂᏨᏁᏍᏗ ᎢᏨᏒ ᎢᏤᎲᎢ.

and to esteem them very abundantly in love, because of their work; be at peace among yourselves;

14 ᎠᎴ ᎢᏨᏔᏲᏎᎭ, ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ, ᏕᏤᏯᏔᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏄᎾᏁᎸᎾ, ᏕᏥᎦᎵᏍᏓᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏗᏩᎾᎦᎳ ᏧᎾᏓᏅᏘ, ᏕᏥᏂᏴᏎᏍᏗ ᏗᏂᏩᎾᎦᎳᎢ, ᏗᏨᏂᏗᏳ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎾᏂᎥ [ ᎤᏣᏘᏂ ᏂᎨᏣᏛᏁᎲᎢ.]

and we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the infirm, be patient unto all;

15 ᏞᏍᏗ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏲ ᎾᎬᏁᎸ ᏳᏞᎨᏍᏗ ᎤᏲ ᏱᎾᏓᏛᏁᎮᏍᏗ; ᎢᏥᏍᏓᏩᏕᎨᏍᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᏂᎪᎯᎸ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎢᏨᏒ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏕᏣᏓᏛᏗᏍᎬ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏂᎥᏉ.

see no one evil for evil may render to any one, but always that which is good pursue ye, both to one another and to all;

16 ᎢᏣᎵᎮᎵᎨᏍᏗ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎢ;

always rejoice ye;

17 ᏂᏥᏲᎯᏍᏗᏍᎬᎾ ᎢᏣᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ;

continually pray ye;

18 ᏂᎦᎥᏉ ᏂᏣᎵᏍᏓᏁᎵᏕᎬ ᎡᏣᎵᎡᎵᏤᎮᏍᏗ [ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ; ] ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏖᎮᎲ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏕᏣᏁᎶᏛ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.

in every thing give thanks, for this [is] the will of God in Christ Jesus in regard to you.

19 ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᎠᏓᏪᎵᎩᏍᎬ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏴᏝᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ.

The Spirit quench not;

20 ᏞᏍᏗ ᎠᏎᏉ ᏱᏥᏰᎸᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ.

prophesyings despise not;

21 ᏄᏓᎴᏒ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎢᏥᎪᎵᏰᏍᎨᏍᏗ; ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᏕᏥᏂᏴᏎᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ.

all things prove; that which is good hold fast;

22 ᎢᏣᏓᏅᎡᎮᏍᏗ ᏂᎦᎥ ᏄᏓᎴᏒ ᎤᏲᎢ.

from all appearance of evil abstain ye;

23 ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏃ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎠᏓᏁᎯ ᏂᎦᎷᎶᎬᎾ ᎢᏥᏅᎦᎸᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ; ᎠᎴ ᏂᎬ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏖᏗᏱ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏣᏓᏅᏙ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏥᏰᎸᎢ ᏤᏥᏍᏆᏂᎪᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᏂᏚᏚᎯᏍᏛᎾ ᎢᏣᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎦᎷᏨ ᎢᏳᎢ.

and the God of the peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your whole spirit, and soul, and body, be preserved unblameably in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ;

24 ᏄᏓᎵᏓᏍᏛᎾ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎢᏣᏯᏅᏛ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏎ ᏥᏅᏛᏛᏁᎵ.

stedfast is He who is calling you, who also will do [it].

25 ᎢᏓᎵᏅᏟ ᏍᎩᏯᏅᏓᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎢᏣᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗᏍᎬᎢ.

Brethren, pray for us;

26 ᏂᎦᏛ ᎠᎾᎵᏅᏟ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᏗᏓᏙᏪᏙᎥᏍᏗ ᏕᏥᏲᎵᏍᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ.

salute all the brethren in an holy kiss;

27 ᎢᏨᏁᏤᎭ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎢᏨᏁᎢᏍᏓᏁᎭ, ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎪᏪᎵ ᎨᏥᎪᎵᏰᏗᏱ ᎾᏂᎥ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ ᎠᎾᎵᏅᏟ.

I charge you [by] the Lord, that the letter be read to all the holy brethren;

28 ᎢᎦᏤᎵ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏕᏥᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎮᏍᏗ. ᎡᎺᏅ.

the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you! Amen.
