Mga Salmo 12
1 Alang sa pangulong musikero; nga gikan sa Sheminith. Ang salmo ni David. Tabangi, O Yahweh, kay nahanaw na ang mga diosnon; nawagtang na ang mga matinumanon.
For the end, A Psalm of David, upon the eighth. Save me, O Lord; for the godly man has failed; for truth is diminished from among the children of men.
2 Ang tanan nagsulti sa walay pulos nga mga pulong batok sa ilang silingan; ang tanan nagsulti uban sa ngabil nga maulog-ulogon ug palingpaling nga kasingkasing.
Every one has spoken vanity to his neighbour: their lips are deceitful, they have spoken with a double heart.
3 O Yahweh, putla ang tanang ngabil nga maulog-ulogon, ang matag dila nga nagmantala sa dakong mga butang.
Let the Lord destroy all the deceitful lips, and the tongue that speaks great words:
4 Mao kini kadtong nag-ingon, “Uban sa among mga dila magmalamposon kami. Sa dihang magsulti ang among mga ngabil, kinsa ba ang makamando kanamo?”
who have said, We will magnify our tongue; our lips are our own: who is Lord of us?
5 “Tungod sa panpanlupig batok sa mga kabos, tungod sa pag-agulo sa mga timawa, mobarog ako,” nag-ingon si Yahweh. “Ihatag ko ang kasigurohan nga ilang gipangandoy.”
Because of the misery of the poor, and because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord, I will set [them] in safety; I will speak [to them] thereof openly.
6 Ang mga pulong ni Yahweh mao ang mga pulong nga putli, sama sa plata nga giputli sa hudno sa kalibotan, sa makapito ka higayon.
The oracles of the Lord are pure oracles; as silver tried in the fire, proved [in] a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Ikaw O Yahweh! Gibantayan mo (sila) Gitipigan mo ang diosnong mga tawo gikan sa daotang kaliwatan hangtod sa kahangtoran.
Thou, O Lord, shalt keep us, and shalt preserve us, from this generation, and for ever.
8 Ang mga tawong daotan naglakaw sa bisan asa nga bahin sa dihang ang daotan gipasidungan taliwala sa mga anak sa katawhan.
The ungodly walk around: according to thy greatness thou has greatly exalted the sons of men.
