Isaias 23
1 Ang pahayag mahitungod sa Tyre: Paghilak, kamong mga barko sa Tarshis; kay wala nay puy-anan ni dunggoanan; gipadayag kini ngadto kanila gikan sa yuta sa Cyprus.
The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
2 Paghilom, kamong mga lumolupyo sa baybayon; mga tigpatigayon sa Sidon, nga nagalawig sa kadagatan, maoy nagpatagbo kaninyo.
Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
3 Ibabaw sa halapad nga katubigan mao ang trigohan sa Shihor, ang ani sa Nilo maoy iyang abot; ug nahimo kining tigpatigayon sa mga nasod.
And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.
4 Kaulaw, Sidon; kay misulti na ang dagat, ang makagagahom sa dagat. Miingon siya, “wala ako nagbati ni manganak, wala usab ako nagpadako ug batan-ong mga lalaki ni nag-atiman ug batan-ong mga babaye.”
Be thou ashamed, O Sidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.
5 Sa dihang miabot ang balita sa Ehipto, nagmasulob-on sila mahitungod sa Tyre.
As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
6 Tabok ngadto sa Tarshis; pagdangoyngoy, kamong mga lumolupyo sa baybayon.
Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
7 Nahitabo ba kini diha kaninyo, ang malipayon nga siyudad, nga ang kagikan mao ang karaan nga mga panahon, nga nagdala sa iyang mga tiil palayo ngadto sa langyaw nga mga dapit aron magpahiluna?
Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
8 Kinsa man ang naglaraw niini batok sa Tyre, ang tighatag ug mga korona, nga ang mga tigpatigayon mao ang mga prinsipe, nga ang tigpatigayon giila nga dungganon sa kalibotan?
Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?
9 Si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom ang naglaraw niini aron wad-an ug dungog ang iyang garbo ug ang tanan niya nga himaya, aron pakaulawan ang tanan niyang mga halangdon sa yuta.
Yhwh of Armies hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
10 Daroha ang imong yuta, sama sa pagdaro sa Nilo, anak nga babaye sa Tarshis. Wala na gayoy baligyaanan sa Tyre.
Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
11 Gituy-od ni Yahweh ang iyang kamot ibabaw sa dagat, ug giuyog niya ang mga gingharian; naghatag siya ug mando mahitungod sa Fenicia, aron pagguba sa mga lig-on nga dalangpanan.
He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: Yhwh hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.
12 Miingon siya, “Dili kana maglipay pag-usab, dinaugdaog nga anak nga babayeng ulay sa Sidon; barog, lakaw ngadto sa Cyprus; apan dili gihapon ka makapahulay didto.”
And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Sidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
13 Tan-awa ang yuta sa mga Caldeanhon. Nawala na kini nga katawhan; gibuhat kini sa mga taga-Asiria nga kamingawan alang sa ihalas nga mga hayop. Nagtukod sila ug mga tore nga adunay hagdanan; gipangguba nila ang mga palasyo niini; gibuhat nila kini nga tipun-og sa mga guba.
Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
14 Paghilak, kamong mga sakayan sa Tarshis; kay nagun-ob na ang inyong dalangpanan.
Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.
15 Nianang adlawa, makalimtan ang Tyre sulod sa 70 ka tuig, sama sa mga adlaw sa hari. Human sa 70 ka tuig adunay mahitabo sa Tyre nga usa ka butang nga sama sa awit sa nagbaligya ug dungog.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
16 Dad-a ang alpa, lakaw niana nga siyudad, ikaw gikalimtan nga nagbaligya ug dungog; patugtoga kini pag-ayo, pag-awit ug daghang alawiton, aron mahinumdoman ka.
Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Mahitabo kini nga human sa 70 ka tuig, tabangan ni Yahweh ang Tyre, ug magsugod usab siyag panalapi pinaagi sa pagbaligya ug dungog, ug ihalad niya ang iyang mga pag-alagad ngadto sa tanang gingharian sa kalibotan.
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that Yhwh will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
18 Igahin ngadto kang Yahweh ang iyang mga ginansya ug mga halin. Dili kini tagoan o ibutang sa panudlanan, kay ihatag ang iyang mga ginansya niadtong nagpuyo sa presensya ni Yahweh ug gamiton aron sa pagpatagbo kanila uban ang kadagaya sa pagkaon ug aron aduna silay maayong mga bisti.
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to Yhwh: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before Yhwh, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
