Genesis 36
1 Mao kini ang mga kaliwat ni Esau (ginatawag usab nga Edom).
And these [are] the generations of Esau; this is Edom.
2 Nangasawa si Esau sa taga-Canaan. Mao kini ang iyang mga asawa: Si Ada ang anak nga babaye ni Elon nga Hetihanon; Oholibama ang anak nga babaye ni Ana, nga apo ni Zibeon nga Hebihanon;
And Esau took to himself wives of the daughters of the Chananites; Ada, the daughter of Aelom the Chettite; and Olibema, daughter of Ana the son of Sebegon, the Evite;
3 ug Basemat, ang anak nga babaye ni Ismael, nga igsoong babaye ni Nebaiot.
and Basemath, daughter of Ismael, sister of Nabaioth.
4 Nanganak si Ada nga asawa ni Esau kang Elifas, ug si Basemat nanganak kang Reuel.
And Ada bore to him Eliphas; and Basemath bore Raguel.
5 Nanganak si Oholibama kang Jeus, Jalam, ug Kora. Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Esau nga natawo sa yuta sa Canaan.
And Olibema bore Jeus, and Jeglom, and Core; these [are] the sons of Esau, which were born to him in the land of Chanaan.
6 Gidala ni Esau ang iyang mga asawa, ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki, ang iyang mga anak nga babaye, ug ang tanang miyembro sa iyang panimalay, iyang mga kahayopan—ang tanan niyang mga hayop, ug ang tanan niyang mga kabtangan, nga iyang natigom sa yuta sa Canaan, ug miadto sa yuta nga layo sa iyang igsoon nga si Jacob.
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and all his possessions, and all his cattle, and all that he had got, and all things whatsoever he had acquired in the land of Chanaan; and Esau went forth from the land of Chanaan, from the face of his brother Jacob.
7 Gibuhat niya kini tungod kay ang ilang mga kabtangan hilabihan na kadaghan alang kanila nga magpabilin nga mag-uban ug puyo. Ang yuta nga ilang gipuy-an dili na igo kanila tungod sa ilang mga kahayopan.
For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojourning could not bear them, because of the abundance of their possessions.
8 Busa si Esau, nga nailhan usab nga Edom, mipuyo sa kabungtoran sa Seir.
And Esau dwelt in mount Seir; Esau, he is Edom.
9 Mao kini ang mga mosunod nga mga kaliwatan ni Esau, mga katigulangan sa mga Edomihanon sa kabungtoran sa Seir.
And these [are] the generations of Esau, the father of Edom in the mount Seir.
10 Mao kini ang mga ngalan sa mga anak nga lalaki ni Esau: si Elifas ang anak nga lalaki ni Ada, ang asawa ni Esau; si Reuel ang anak nga lalaki ni Basemat, ang asawa ni Esau.
And these [are] the names of the sons of Esau. Eliphas, the son of Ada, the wife of Esau; and Raguel, the son of Basemath, wife of Esau.
11 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Elifas mao si Teman, Omar, Zefo, Gatam, ug Kenas.
And the sons of Eliphas were Thaeman, Omar, Sophar, Gothom, and Kenez.
12 Si Timna, nga puyo-puyo ni Elifas, anak nga lalaki ni Esau nanganak kang Amalek. Mao kini ang mga apo nga lalaki ni Ada, nga asawa ni Esau.
And Thamna was a concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau; and she bore Amalec to Eliphas. These [are] the sons of Ada, the wife of Esau.
13 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Reuel: si Nahat, Zera, Shama, ug Miza. Mao kini ang mga apo nga lalaki ni Basemat, nga asawa ni Esau.
And these [are] the sons of Raguel; Nachoth, Zare, Some, and Moze. These were the sons of Basemath, wife of Esau.
14 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Oholibama, nga asawa ni Esau, nga anak nga babaye ni Ana ug apo nga babaye ni Zibeon. Nanganak siya kang Jeus, Jalam, ug Kora.
And these [are] the sons of Olibema, the daughter of Ana, the son of Sebegon, the wife of Esau; and she bore to Esau, Jeus, and Jeglom, and Core.
15 Mao kini ang mga banay sa mga kaliwat ni Esau: ang kaliwat ni Elifas, ang kinamagulangan ni Esau: si Teman, Omar, Zefo, Kenaz,
These [are] the chiefs of the son of Esau, [even] the sons of Eliphas, the first-born of Esau; chief Thaeman, chief Omar, chief Sophar, chief Kenez,
16 Kora, Gatam, ug Amalek. Mao kini ang mga banay nga kaliwat ni Elifas sa yuta sa Edom. Sila ang mga apo nga lalaki ni Ada.
chief Core, chief Gothom, chief Amalec. These [are] the chiefs of Eliphas, in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Ada.
17 Mao kini ang mga banay nga gikan kang Reuel, anak nga lalaki ni Esau: si Nahat, Zera, Shama, Miza. Mao kini ang mga banay nga kaliwat ni Reuel sa yuta sa Edom. Mao kini ang mga apo nga lalaki ni Basemat, nga asawa ni Esau.
And these [are] the sons of Raguel, the son of Esau; chief Nachoth, chief Zare, chief Some, chief Moze. These [are] the chiefs of Raguel, in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Basemath, wife of Esau.
18 Mao kini ang mga banay ni Oholibama, nga asawa ni Esau: si Jeus, Jalam, Kora. Mao kini ang mga banay nga gikan sa asawa ni Esau nga si Oholibama, anak nga babaye ni Ana.
And these [are] the sons of Olibema, wife of Esau; chief Jeus, chief Jeglom, chief Core. These [are] the chiefs of Olibema, daughter of Ana, wife of Esau.
19 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Esau, ug mao kini ang ilang mga banay.
These [are] the sons of Esau, and these are the chiefs; these are the sons of Edom.
20 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Seir nga Horitihanon, ang mga lumulupyo sa yuta: si Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Ana,
And these [are] the sons of Seir, the Chorrhite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, Sobal, Sebegon, Ana,
21 Dishon, Ezer, ug Dishan. Mao kini ang mga banay sa mga Horitihanon, ang mga lumulupyo sa Seir nga yuta sa taga-Edom.
and Deson, and Asar, and Rison. These [are] the chiefs of the Chorrhite, the son of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Lotan mao si Hori ug Heman, ug si Timna mao ang igsoong babaye ni Lotan.
And the sons of Lotan [were] Chorrhi and Haeman; and the sister of Lotan, Thamna.
23 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Shobal: si Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Shefo, ug Onam.
And these [are] the sons of Sobal; Golam, and Manachath, and Gaebel, and Sophar, and Omar.
24 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Zibeon: si Aya ug Ana. Si Ana mao ang nakakita sa init nga tubod didto sa kamingawan, samtang nagpasabsab siya sa mga asno sa iyang amahan nga si Zibeon.
And these [are] the sons of Sebegon; Aie, and Ana; this is the Ana who found Jamin in the wilderness, when he tended the beasts of his father Sebegon.
25 Mao kini ang mga anak ni Ana: si Dishon ug Oholibama, ang anak nga babaye ni Ana.
And these [are] the sons of Ana; Deson—and Olibema [was] daughter of Ana.
26 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Dishon: si Hemdan, Esban, Itran, ug Keran.
And these [are] the sons of Deson; Amada, and Asban, and Ithran, and Charrhan.
27 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Ezer: si Bilhan, Saavan, ug Akan.
And these [are] the sons of Asar; Balaam, and Zucam, and Jucam.
28 Mao kini ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Dishan: si Uz ug Aran.
And these [are] the sons of Rison; Hos, and Aran.
29 Mao kini ang mga banay sa mga Horitihanon: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon ug Ana,
And these [are] the chiefs of Chorri; chief Lotan, chief Sobal, chief Sebegon, chief Ana,
30 Dishon, Ezer, Dishan: mao kini ang mga banay sa mga Horitihanon, sumala sa listahan sa ilang mga banay sa yuta sa Seir.
chief Deson, chief Asar, chief Rison. These [are] the chiefs of Chorri, in their principalities in the land of Edom.
31 Mao kini ang mga hari nga naghari sa yuta sa Edom sa wala pay hari ang mga Israelita:
these [are] the kings which reigned in Edom, before a king reigned in Israel.
32 Si Bela nga anak nga lalaki ni Beor, ang naghari sa Edom, ug ang ngalan sa iyang siyudad mao ang Dinhaba.
And Balac, son of Beor, reigned in Edom; and the name of his city [was] Dennaba.
33 Sa dihang namatay na si Bela, si Jobab anak nga lalaki ni Zera kang Bozra, ang naghari puli kaniya.
And Balac died; and Jobab, son of Zara, from Bosorrha reigned in his stead.
34 Sa dihang namatay na si Jobab, si Husan nga taga-Teman ang naghari puli kaniya.
And Jobab died; and Asom, from the land of the Thaemanites, reigned in his stead.
35 Sa dihang namatay na si Husan, si Hadad anak nga lalaki ni Bedad, nga nakapildi sa mga Midianhon sa yuta sa Moab, ang naghari puli kaniya. Ang ngalan sa iyang siyudad mao ang Abit.
And Asom died; and Adad son of Barad, who cut off Madiam in the plain of Moab, ruled in his stead; and the name of his city was Getthaim.
36 Sa dihang namatay na si Hadad, si Samla nga taga-Masreka ang naghari puli kaniya.
And Adad died; and Samada of Massecca reigned in his stead.
37 Sa dihang namatay na si Samla, si Shaul ang naghari puli kaniya nga taga-Rehobot nga duol sa suba.
Samada died; and Saul of Rhooboth by the river reigned in his stead.
38 Sa namatay na si Shaul, si Baal Hanan anak nga lalaki ni Acbor ang naghari puli kaniya.
And Saul died; and Ballenon the son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
39 Sa dihang si Baal Hanan anak nga lalaki ni Acbor namatay na, si Hadar ang naghari puli kaniya. Ang ngalan sa iyang siyudad mao ang Pau. Ang ngalan sa iyang asawa mao si Mehetabel, ang anak nga babaye ni Matred, nga apo nga babaye ni Me Zahab.
And Ballenon the son of Achobor died; and Arad the son of Barad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Phogor; and the name of his wife was Metebeel, daughter of Matraith, son of Maizoob.
40 Mao kini ang mga ngalan sa mga pangulo sa mga banay gikan sa kaliwat ni Esau, sumala sa ilang mga banay ug sa ilang mga dapit, sumala sa ilang mga ngalan: Timna, Alva, Jetet,
These [are] the names of the chiefs of Esau, in their tribes, according to their place, in their countries, and in their nations; chief Thamna, chief Gola, chief Jether,
41 Oholibama, Ela, Pinon,
chief Olibema, chief Helas, chief Phinon,
42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
chief Kenez, chief Thaeman, chief Mazar,
43 Magdiel, ug Iram. Mao kini ang mga pangulo sa banay sa Edom, sumala sa ilang pagpuyo sa yuta nga ilang napanag-iyahan. Mao kini si Esau, ang amahan sa mga Edomihanon.
chief Magediel, chief Zaphoin. These are the chiefs of Edom in their dwelling-places in the land of their possession; this is Esau, the father of Edom.
