Deuteronomio 26

1 Sa dihang makasulod ka na sa yuta nga gihatag kanimo ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ingon nga panulundon, ug mapanag-iyahan mo na kini ug mopuyo na niini,

“After you occupy the land that Yahweh our God is giving to you, and you (have settled/are living) there,

2 nan kinahanglan kuhaon mo ang pipila sa kina-unahan sa tanan nimong mga ani sa imong yuta nga imong gidala gikan sa yuta nga gihatag kanimo ni Yahweh nga imong Dios. Ibutang mo kini sa usa ka bukag ug adto sa dapit nga gipili ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ingon nga iyang balaang pinuy-anan.

[each of] you must take some of the first crops that you harvest, put them in a basket, and take them to the place that Yahweh will have chosen for you to worship [MTY] there.

3 Kinahanglan moadto ka sa pari nga mialagad niadtong mga adlawa ug sultihi siya, 'Ipahayag ko karong adlawa kang Yahweh nga imong Dios nga ania na ako sa yuta nga gipanumpa ni Yahweh sa atong mga katigulangan nga ihatag kanato.'

Go to the Supreme Priest who is serving at that time and say to him, ‘[By giving you this first part of my harvest] today, I am declaring to Yahweh our God that I have [picked it in] the land that he vowed to our ancestors to give to us.’

4 Kuhaon sa pari ang bukag gikan sa imong kamot ug ibutang kini sa atubangan sa halaran ni Yahweh nga imong Dios.

Then the priest must take the basket of food from your hand and put it on the altar where sacrifices are offered to Yahweh our God.

5 Mosulti ka sa atubangan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios, 'Ang akong katigulangan usa ka Arameanhon. Milugsong siya sa Ehipto ug mipuyo didto, ug diyutay lamang ang iyang katawhan. Ug didto nahimo siyang usa ka nasod nga dako, gamhanan, ug ni daghan.

Then in Yahweh’s presence you must say this: ‘My ancestor [Jacob] was a man from Aram/Syria who was continually wandering [from one place to another]. He took his family to Egypt. They were a small group [when they went there], but they lived there and their descendants became a very large/populous [DOU] and powerful nation.

6 Gidaogdaog ug gisakit kami sa mga Ehiptohanon. Gipabuhat nila kanamo ang buluhaton sa mga ulipon.

Then the people of Egypt treated them very harshly [DOU], and they forced them to become their slaves and to work very hard.

7 Nagpakitabang kami kang Yahweh, ang Ginoo sa among mga amahan, ug nadungog niya ang among tingog ug nakita ang among pag-antos, ang among kahago, ug ang pagdaogdaog kanamo.

Then our ancestors cried out to you, Yahweh our God, and you heard them. You saw that they were suffering, and that they were forced to work very hard, and were being oppressed.

8 Gikuha kami ni Yahweh gikan sa Ehipto uban ang gamhanang kamot, ug binayaw nga bukton, tumang kahadlok, mga ilhanan, ug mga katingalahan;

Then by your great power [MTY] and by performing many kinds of miracles [DOU], and other terrifying things, you brought them out of Egypt.

9 ug gidala niya kami niining dapita ug naghatag kanamo niining yutaa, yuta nga nagdagayday ang gatas ug dugos.

You brought us to this land and gave it to us, a land that is very fertile [IDM].

10 Karon tan-awa, nagdala ako sa unang abot sa yuta nga imong gihatag kanako, O Yahweh.' Kinahanglan ibutang mo kini sa atubangan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ug simbaha siya;

So now, Yahweh, I have brought to you the first part of the harvest from the land that I received.’ Then you must set the basket down in Yahweh’s presence and worship him there.

11 ug maglipay ka sa tanang kaayo nga nabuhat ni Yahweh nga imong Dios alang kanimo, sa imong pinuy-anan—ikaw, ug sa mga Levita, ug sa mga dumuduong nga anaa sa imong taliwala.

And you must celebrate [by eating a meal together to thank] Yahweh our God for all the good things that he has given to you and to your family. And you must invite the descendants of Levi and the foreigners who are living among you to also rejoice [and eat] with you.

12 Sa dihang mahuman ka na sa paghatag sa tanan mong ikapulo sa imong abot sa ikatulong tuig, nga mao ang tuig sa paghatag sa ikapulo, nan ihatag mo kini sa mga Levita, sa mga dumuduong, sa mga ilo, ug sa mga babayeng balo, aron nga makakaon sila sulod sa imong mga ganghaan sa siyudad ug mangabusog.

Every third year, you must bring to the descendants of Levi and to the foreigners [who are living among you] and the orphans and the widows (a tithe/10 percent) of your crops, in order that in every town they will have plenty to eat.

13 Mosulti ka kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, 'Gipagawas ko sa akong pinuy-anan nga anaa ang tanang butang nga iya kang Yahweh, ug gihatag kini ngadto sa mga Levita, sa mga dumuduong, sa mga ilo, ug sa mga babayeng balo, sumala sa tanan mong mga sugo nga gihatag mo kanako. Wala ako maglapas sa bisan unsa sa imong mga sugo, ni gikalimtan ko kini.

Then you must say to Yahweh, ‘I have brought to you, from my house, all of the sacred tithe [from my harvest this year]. I am giving it to the descendants of Levi, to the foreigners, the orphans, and the widows, as you commanded us to do. I have not disobeyed any of your commands [about the tithes], and I have not forgotten any of your commands [about tithes].

14 Wala ako makakaon sa bisan unsa niini sa akong pagbangotan, ni magbutang ako niini sa bisan asa sa dihang hugaw ako, ni maghatag ako ug bisan unsa niini sa pagpasidungog sa mga patay. Nagpatalinghog ako sa tingog ni Yahweh nga akong Dios; nagtuman ako sa tanan nga imong gisugo nga akong pagabuhaton.

[I declare that] I have not eaten any food from the tithe while I was mourning [for someone who died]. And I have not touched any of it while I was unacceptable to you; I have not offered any of it to [spirits of] dead people. Yahweh, I have obeyed you and done everything that you have commanded us [concerning the tithe].

15 Pagtan-aw gikan sa imong balaang dapit kung hain ka nagpuyo, gikan sa langit, ug panalangini ang imong katawhan nga Israel, ug ang yuta nga imong gihatag kanamo, sumala sa imong gipanumpa sa among mga amahan, yuta nga nagdagayday ang gatas ug ang dugos.'

So [please] look down from your holy place in heaven, and bless us, your Israeli people. Also bless this very fertile [IDM] land which you have given to us, which is what you promised our ancestors that you would do.’

16 Karong adlawa nagsugo kanimo si Yahweh nga imong Dios sa pagtuman niini nga mga balaod ug mga kasugoan; busa bantayi kini ug buhata kini sa tibuok mong kasingkasing ug sa tibuok mong kalag.

Today Yahweh our God is commanding you to obey all these rules and regulations. So obey them faithfully, with your entire inner being [DOU].

17 Gipamatud-an mo karong adlawa nga si Yahweh mao ang imong Dios, ug naglakaw ka diha sa iyang dalan ug magabantay sa iyang mga balaod, sa iyang mga sugo, ug sa iyang mga tulumanon, ug nipatalinghog sa iyang tingog.

Today you have declared that Yahweh is your God, and that you will conduct your lives as he wants you to do, and that you will obey all his commands and rules and regulations, and that you will do all that he tells you to do.

18 Ug karong adlawa nagpamatuod si Yahweh nga ikaw mao ang katawhan nga iyang gipanag-iyahan, sumala sa iyang gisaad nga buhaton kanimo, ug bantayan mo gayod ang tanan niyang mga sugo.

And today Yahweh has declared that you are his people, which is what he promised that you would be, and he commands you to obey all his commands.

19 Karong adlawa nagpamatuod si Yahweh nga himoon ka niyang labaw sa tanang kanasoran nga iyang gihimo, sa pagsimba, sa kadungganan, ug sa pagpasidungog. Mahimo kang katawhan nga gigahin alang kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, sumala sa iyang giingon.”

If you do that, he will cause you to become greater than any other nation that he has established, and he will enable you to praise him and honor him [DOU]. You will truly belong to Yahweh our God, which is what he has promised.”
