Deuteronomio 23

1 Dili makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh ang tawong nasamaran pinaagi sa pagdugmok o pagputol.

'One wounded, bruised, or cut in the member doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah;

2 Walay anak sa gawas ang makaapil sa panagtigom ni Yahweh; hangtod sa ikanapulo sa iyang kaliwatan, dili sila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

a bastard doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of him doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

3 Ang usa ka Amonihanon o ang Moabihanon dili makaapil sa panagtigom ni Yahweh; bisan hangtod sa ikanapulo nga kaliwatan sa iyang mga kaliwat, dili sila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

'An Ammonite and a Moabite doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah; even a tenth generation of them doth not enter into the assembly of Jehovah — to the age;

4 Tungod kay wala sila mosugat kanimo uban sa tinapay ug sa tubig diha sa dalan sa paggawas nimo sa Ehipto, ug tungod kay nagsuhol hinuon sila kang Balaam sa pagbatok kanimo, nga anak nga lalaki ni Beor nga taga-Petor sa Aram Naharaim, aron sa pagtunglo kanimo.

because that they have not come before you with bread and with water in the way, in your coming out from Egypt, and because he hath hired against thee Balaam son of Beor, of Pethor of Aram-Naharaim, to revile thee;

5 Apan si Yahweh nga imong Dios dili gayod magpatalinghog kang Balaam; kondili, gihimo ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ang tunglo ngadto sa panalangin alang kanimo, tungod kay nahigugma kanimo si Yahweh nga imong Dios.

and Jehovah thy God hath not been willing to hearken unto Balaam, and Jehovah thy God doth turn for thee the reviling to a blessing, because Jehovah thy God hath loved thee;

6 Ayaw gayod tinguhaa ang ilang kalinaw o ang kauswagan sa tanan mong mga adlaw.

thou dost not seek their peace and their good all thy days — to the age.

7 Ayaw dumti ang Edumihanon, kay igsoon mo siya; ayaw kasilagi ang Ehiptohanon, tungod kay langyaw ka lamang sa iyang yuta.

'Thou dost not abominate an Edomite, for thy brother he [is]; thou dost not abominate an Egyptian, for a sojourner thou hast been in his land;

8 Ang kaliwatan sa ikatulo nga kaliwat nga mangatawo kanila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

sons who are begotten of them, a third generation of them, doth enter into the assembly of Jehovah.

9 Sa dihang magmartsa ka ingon nga sundalo batok sa imong mga kaaway, nan ilikay mo ang imong kaugalingon gikan sa tanang daotan nga mga butang.

'When a camp goeth out against thine enemies, then thou hast kept from every evil thing.

10 Kung adunay bisan kinsa kaninyo nga dili hinlo tungod sa nahitabo kaniya sa gabii, kinahanglan mopahawa siya sa kampo sa kasundalohan; dili na gayod siya makasulod sa kampo.

'When there is in thee a man who is not clean, from an accident at night — then he hath gone out unto the outside of the camp — he doth not come in unto the midst of the camp —

11 Sa pag-abot sa kagabhion, kinahanglan maligo siya; sa dihang mosalop na ang adlaw, makasulod na siya sa kampo.

and it hath been, at the turning of the evening, he doth bathe with water, and at the going in of the sun he doth come in unto the midst of the camp.

12 Kinahanglan aduna ka usab usa ka dapit sa gawas sa kampo nga imong kaadtoan;

'And a station thou hast at the outside of the camp, and thou hast gone out thither without,

13 ug pagbaton ug usa ka butang nga pangkalot diha sa imong mga butang; sa paglingkod nimo aron sa paghupay sa imong kaugalingon, kinahanglan mokalot ka gamit niini ug ibutang dayon ang yuta ug taboni ang migawas kanimo.

and a nail thou hast on thy staff, and it hath been, in thy sitting without, that thou hast digged with it, and turned back, and covered thy filth;

14 Kay si Yahweh nga imong Dios magalakaw taliwala sa imong kampo aron sa paghatag kanimo ug kadaogan ug pagtugyan sa imong mga kaaway diha kanimo. Busa kinahanglan nga balaan ang imong kampo, aron wala siyay makita nga bisan unsang mahugaw nga butang diha kanimo ug mobiya kanimo.

for Jehovah thy God is walking up and down in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give thine enemies before thee, and thy camp hath been holy, and He doth not see in thee the nakedness of anything, and hath turned back from after thee.

15 Dili mo gayod iuli sa iyang agalon ang usa ka ulipon nga milayas na gikan sa iyang agalon.

'Thou dost not shut up a servant unto his lord, who is delivered unto thee from his lord;

16 Pasagdi siya nga magpuyo uban kanimo, sa bisan asang lungsod nga iyang pilion. Ayaw siya daogdaoga.

with thee he doth dwell, in thy midst, in the place which he chooseth within one of thy gates, where it is pleasing to him; thou dost not oppress him.

17 Kinahanglan nga walay mamaligya ug dungog taliwala sa bisan kinsang anak nga babaye sa Israel, ni kinahanglan nga walay mamaligya ug dungog sa mga anak nga mga lalaki sa Israel.

'There is not a whore among the daughters of Israel, nor is there a whoremonger among the sons of Israel;

18 Dili ka gayod magdala sa suhol sa mamaligya ug dungog o ang suhol sa iro ngadto sa pinuy-anan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios alang sa bisan unsang panaad; kay managsama kining dulumtanan alang kang Yahweh nga imong Dios.

thou dost not bring a gift of a whore, or a price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah thy God, for any vow; for the abomination of Jehovah thy God [are] even both of them.

19 Kinahanglan dili ka magpautang nga may tubo sa imong isigka-Israelita—tubo sa salapi, tubo sa makaon, o tubo sa bisan unsang butang nga gipautang nga gipatuboan.

'Thou dost not lend in usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of food, usury of anything which is lent on usury.

20 Makapautang ka nga may tubo sa mga langyaw; apan sa imong isigka-Israelita dili ka makapautang nga may tubo, aron panalanginan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ang tanang buhaton sa imong kamot, didto sa yuta nga imong adtoan aron mapanag-iya.

To a stranger thou mayest lend in usury, and to thy brother thou dost not lend in usury, so that Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in every putting forth of thy hand on the land whither thou goest in to possess it.

21 Sa pagbuhat nimo ug panaad kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, kinahanglan dili ka maglangan sa pagtuman niini, kay paninglan ka gayod niini ni Yahweh nga imong Dios; mahimo kining imong sala.

'When thou vowest a vow to Jehovah thy God, thou dost not delay to complete it; for Jehovah thy God doth certainly require it from thee, and it hath been in thee — sin.

22 Apan kung maglikay ka sa pagbuhat ug panaad, dili kini mahimong sala alang kanimo.

'And when thou forbearest to vow, it is not in thee a sin.

23 Ang gipamulong sa imong mga ngabil kinahanglan matngonan ug buhaton mo; sumala sa imong gipanaad kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, ang bisan unsang gisaad pinaagi sa imong baba.

The produce of thy lips thou dost keep, and hast done [it], as thou hast vowed to Jehovah thy God; a free-will-offering, which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.

24 Kung moadto ka sa kaparasan sa imong isigka-tawo makakaon ka sa daghang mga ubas hangtod matagbaw ka, apan dili ka magbutang ug bisan unsa sa imong panudlanan.

'When thou comest in unto the vineyard of thy neighbour, then thou hast eaten grapes, according to thy desire, thy sufficiency; but into thy vessel thou dost not put [any].

25 Kung moadto ka sa anihonon sa imong isigka-tawo, makakutlo ka sa uhay gamit ang imong kamot, apan ayaw garaba ang anihonon sa imong isigka-tawo.

When thou comest in among the standing-corn of thy neighbour, then thou hast plucked the ears with thy hand, but a sickle thou dost not wave over the standing-corn of thy neighbour.
