রোমীয় 14
To him who is feeble in the faith, reach forth the hand. And be not divided in your thoughts.
2 ২ একদিকে একজন লোকের বিশ্বাস আছে যে সে সব কিছু খেতে পারে, কিন্তু অন্য দিকে যে দুর্বল সে কেবল সব্জি খায়।
For one man believeth, that he may eat every thing: and he that is feeble, eateth herbs.
3 ৩ একজন লোককে দেখ সে সব কিছু খায় সে যেন এমন লোককে তুচ্ছ না করে, যে সব কিছু খায় না এবং দেখো যে সব কিছু খায় না, সে যেন অন্যের বিচার না করে, যে সব কিছু খায়। কারণ ঈশ্বর তাকে গ্রহণ করেছেন।
And he that eateth, should not despise him that eateth not; and he that eateth not, should not judge him that eateth, for God hath received him.
4 ৪ তুমি কে, যে অপরের চাকরের বিচার কর? হয়ত নিজ প্রভুরই কাছে সে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে, নয়ত পড়ে যায়। কিন্তু তাকে দাঁড় করিয়ে রাখতে হবে; কারণ প্রভু তাকে দাঁড় করিয়ে রাখতে পারেন।
Who art thou, that thou judgest a servant not thine; and who, if he standeth, he standeth to his Lord; and if he falleth, he falleth to his Lord? But he will assuredly stand; for his Lord hath power to establish him.
5 ৫ এক দিক দিয়ে একজন এক দিনের র চেয়ে অন্য দিন কে বেশি মূল্যবান মনে করে, আর এক দিক দিয়ে একজন সব দিন কেই সমান মূল্যবান মনে করে। প্রত্যেক লোক নিজ নিজ মনে স্থির থাকুক।
One man discriminateth between days; and another judgeth all days alike. But let every one be sure, in regard to his knowledge.
6 ৬ যে দিন কে মন থেকে মানে, সে প্রভুর জন্যই মেনে চলে; এবং যে খায়, সে প্রভুর জন্যই খায়, কারণ সে ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ করে। এবং যে খায় না, সেও প্রভুর জন্যই খায় না, কিন্তু সেও ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ করে।
He that esteemeth a day, esteemeth it for his Lord: and he that esteemeth not a day, for his Lord, he doth not esteem it. And he that eateth, eateth to his Lord, and giveth thanks to God: and he that eateth not, to his Lord he eateth not, and giveth thanks to God.
For there is not one of us, who liveth for himself: and there is not one, who dieth for himself.
8 ৮ কারণ যদি আমরা বেঁচে থাকি, আমরা প্রভুরই জন্য বেঁচে থাকি; এবং যদি আমরা মরি, তবে প্রভুরই জন্য মরি। অতএব আমরা জীবিত থাকি বা মরি, আমরা প্রভুরই।
Because, if we live, to our Lord it is we live; or if we die, to our Lord it is we die. Whether we live, therefore, or whether we die, we are our Lord's.
Moreover, for this cause Messiah died, and revived, and arose; that he might be Lord of the dead and of the living.
10 ১০ কিন্তু কেন তুমি তোমার ভাইয়ের বিচার কর? এবং কেন তুমি তোমার ভাইকে ঘৃণা কর? কারণ আমরা সবাইত ঈশ্বরের বিচারের আসনের সামনে দাঁড়াব।
But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or, why dost thou despise thy brother? For we must all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah,
11 ১১ কারণ লেখা আছে, প্রভু বলছেন, “যেমন আমি জীবিত আছি, আমার কাছে প্রত্যেকেই হাঁটু পাতবে এবং প্রত্যেকটি জিভ ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা করবে।”
as it is written: As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow; and to me every tongue shall give praise.
So then, every one of us must give account of himself to God.
13 ১৩ সুতরাং, এস, আমরা যেন আর একে অন্যের বিচার না করি, কিন্তু পরিবর্তে এই ঠিক করি, যেন যা দেখে তার ভাই মনে বাধা পেতে পারে অথবা ফাঁদে না পড়তে হয়।
Henceforth, judge ye not one another; but rather, judge ye this, that thou erect not a stumbling-block for thy brother.
14 ১৪ আমি জানি এবং প্রভু যীশুতে ভালোভাবে বুঝেছি যে কোনো জিনিসই অপবিত্র নয়, কিন্তু যে অপবিত্র মনে করে তার কাছে সেটা অপবিত্র।
I know indeed, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing which is unclean in itself; but to him who thinketh any thing to be unclean, to him only it is defiled.
15 ১৫ কোন খাবারের জন্য যদি তোমার ভাই দুঃখ পায়, তবে তুমি আর ভালবাসার নিয়মে চলছ না। যার জন্য খ্রীষ্ট মরলেন, তোমার খাবার দ্বারা তাকে নষ্ট করো না।
But if thou grievest thy brother, because of food, thou walkest not in love. On account of food, destroy not him for whom Messiah died.
And let not our good thing be matter of reproach.
17 ১৭ কারণ ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে খাওয়া এবং পান করাই সব কিছু নয়, কিন্তু ধার্ম্মিকতা, শান্তি এবং পবিত্র আত্মাতে আনন্দই সব।
For the kingdom of God, is not food and drink; but is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
For he who is in these things a servant of Messiah, is pleasing to God, and approved before men.
19 ১৯ সুতরাং যা করলে শান্তি হয় এবং যার দ্বারা একে অন্যকে গড়ে তুলতে পারি, এস আমরা সেই সব করার চেষ্টা করি।
Now let us strive after peace, and after the edification of one another.
20 ২০ খাবারের জন্য ঈশ্বরের কাজকে নষ্ট হতে দিও না। সব জিনিসই শুদ্ধ, কিন্তু কেউ যদি কিছু খায় এবং অন্য লোকের বাধা সৃষ্টি হয়, তার জন্য তা খারাপ।
And let us not, on account of food, destroy the work of God. For every thing is, indeed, pure; yet it is evil, to the man who eateth with stumbling.
It is proper, that we neither eat flesh, nor drink wine, nor do any thing, whereby our brother is stumbled.
22 ২২ তোমার যে বিশ্বাস আছে তা তোমার এবং ঈশ্বরের সামনেই রাখ। ধন্য সেই লোক যে যা গ্রহণ করে তাতে সে নিজের বিচার করেন।
Thou art one in whom there is faith; keep it to thyself, before God. Blessed is he, who doth not condemn himself, in that thing which he alloweth.
23 ২৩ যদি সে খেয়ে সন্দেহ প্রকাশ করে তবে সে দোষী, কারণ এটা বিশ্বাসে করে নি; এবং যা কিছু বিশ্বাসে না করা তাহাই পাপ।
For he who eateth and doubteth, is condemned; because he eateth not in faith. For every thing which is not of faith, is sin.
