গীতসংহিতা 91

1 ১ যে মহান ঈশ্বরের অন্তরালে থাকে, সে সর্বশক্তিমানের ছায়াতে বসতি করে।

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, Under the shadow of the Almighty, will tarry,

2 ২ আমি সদাপ্রভুুর বিষয়ে বলব, “তিনি আমার আশ্রয় এবং আমার দূর্গ, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তাতে নির্ভর করব।”

Saying of Yahweh—My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I will trust.

3 ৩ হ্যাঁ, তিনি তোমাকে শিকারীর ফাঁদ থেকে ও সর্বনাশক রোগ থেকে রক্ষা করবেন।

For, he, will rescue thee, From the snare of the fowler, From the destructive pestilence.

4 ৪ তিনি তাঁর ডানায় তোমাকে ঢেকে রাখবেন, তার ডানার নীচে তুমি আশ্রয় পাবে; তাঁর বিশ্বস্ততা একটি ঢাল এবং সুরক্ষা।

With his pinion, will he cover thee, And, under his wings, shalt thou seek refuge, A shield and buckler, is his faithfulness.

5 ৫ তুমি ভয় পাবে না রাতের আতঙ্কের থেকে অথবা দিনের রবেলায় উড়ে আসা তীরের থেকে,

Thou shalt not be afraid, Of the dread of the night, Of the arrow that flieth by day;

6 ৬ সংক্রামক মহামারীর থেকে যা অন্ধকারের মধ্যে ঘুরে বেড়ায় অথবা রোগের থেকে যা দুপুরবেলায় আসে।

Of the pestilence that, in darkness, doth walk, Of the plague that layeth waste at noonday.

7 ৭ তোমার পাশে পড়বে হাজার জন এবং তোমার ডান হাতে দশ হাজার জন পড়বে, কিন্তু ওটা তোমার কাছে আসবে না।

There shall fall, at thy side, a thousand, Yea, myriads, at thy right hand, Unto thee, shall it not come nigh;

8 ৮ তুমি শুধু পর্যবেক্ষণ করবে এবং দুষ্টদের শাস্তি দেখবে।

Save only, with thine own eyes, shalt thou discern, And, the recompense of the lawless, shalt thou see.

9 ৯ “কারণ সদাপ্রভুু আমার আশ্রয়! তুমি মহান সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরকে তোমার আশ্রয়স্থল করেছ,”

Because, thou, [hast made] Yahweh, my refuge, —The Most High, thou hast made thy dwelling-place,

10 ১০ কোনো খারাপ তোমাকে অতিক্রম করতে পারেনা, কোনো দুঃখ তোমার ঘরের কাছে আসবে না।

There shall not be sent unto thee misfortune, Nor shall, plague, come near into thy tent;

11 ১১ কারণ তিনি তোমার সমস্ত পথে তোমাকে রক্ষা করার জন্য, তোমাকে সুরক্ষিত করার জন্য তার স্বর্গদূতদের নির্দেশ দেবেন।

For, his messengers, will he charge concerning thee, To keep thee, in all thy ways;

12 ১২ তারা তোমাকে হাতে করে তুলে নেবেন, যেন তুমি সরে না যাও এবং পাথরের ওপরে না পড়।

On hands, will they bear thee up, Lest thou strike, against a stone, thy foot;

13 ১৩ তুমি সাপ ও সিংহকে ওপরে পা দেবে, তুমি যুবসিংহ ও নাগকে মাড়াবে।

On the lion and adder, shalt thou tread, Shalt trample on young lion and crocodile.

14 ১৪ “সে আমার প্রতি অনুরাগী, তার জন্য আমি তাকে উদ্ধার করব; আমি তাকে রক্ষা করব, কারণ সে আমার প্রতি অনুগত।”

Because, on me, he hath set firm his love, Therefore will I deliver him, I will set him on high, Because he hath known my Name;

15 ১৫ সে আমাকে ডাকবে, আমি তাকে উত্তর দেব; আমি বিপদে তার সঙ্গে থাকব; আমি তাকে বিজয় দেব ও সম্মানিত করব।

He shall call me, and I will answer him, With him, will, I, be, in distress, I will rescue him, and will honour him;

16 ১৬ আমি দীর্ঘ আয়ু দিয়ে তাকে তৃপ্ত করব, আমার পরিত্রান তাকে দেখাব।

With length of days, will I satisfy him, And will show him my salvation.
