গীতসংহিতা 62

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। যিদুথনের প্রণালীতে। একটি দায়ূদের গীত। আমার প্রাণ নীরবে ঈশ্বরের অপেক্ষা করছে, তাঁর থেকেই আসে আমার পরিত্রান।

For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waiteth only upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.

2 ২ তিনি একা আমার শিলা এবং আমার পরিত্রান; তিনি আমার উচ্চ দূর্গ, আমি অতিশয় বিচলিত হব না।

He only is my rock and my salvation: [he is] my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.

3 ৩ কতক্ষণ তুমি একজন মানুষকে আক্রমণ করবে, সে তাকে হত্যা করবে হেলে পরা ভিত্তি ও ভাঙ্গা বেড়ার মত?

How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay [him], all of you, like a bowing wall, like a tottering fence?

4 ৪ তারা কেবল তাদের সম্মানিয় অবস্হান থেকে তাকে ফিরিয়ে নেওয়ার জন্য পরামর্শ দেয়; তারা মিথ্যা কথা বলতে ভালবাসে; তারা মুখে আশীর্বাদ দেয়, কিন্তু অন্তরে অভিশাপ দেয়। (সেলা)

They only consult to thrust him down from his excellency; they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)

5 ৫ আমার প্রাণ, নীরবে ঈশ্বরেরই অপেক্ষা কর; কারণ তাঁর মধ্যেই আমার প্রত্যাশা।

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

6 ৬ তিনি একা আমার শিলা এবং আমার পরিত্রান; তিনি আমার উচ্চ দূর্গ, আমি অতিশয় বিচলিত হব না।

He only is my rock and my salvation: [he is] my high tower; I shall not be moved.

7 ৭ ঈশ্বর আমার পরিত্রান এবং আমার গৌরব; ঈশ্বর আমার শক্তির শৈল এবং আমার আশ্রয় ঈশ্বরের মধ্যে আছে।

With God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8 ৮ লোকরা সব দিন তাতে বিশ্বাস করে, তাঁর সামনে তোমাদের মনের কথা ভেঙে বল; ঈশ্বরই আমাদের জন্য আশ্রয়। (সেলা)

Trust in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. (Selah)

9 ৯ সামান্য লোকেরা বাস্প মাত্র এবং গণ্যমান্য লোকেরা মিথ্যা; তাদেরকে তুলোযন্ত্রে ওজন করা হবে; তারা সর্ব বাস্প থেকে কম।

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: in the balances they will go up; they are together lighter than vanity.

10 ১০ তুমি নিপীড়ন বা ডাকাতে উপর বিশ্বাস কর না এবং ধনের জন্য আশা কর না; কারণ তাতে কোনো ফল ধরবে না; তাদের উপর তোমার হৃদয় যাবে না।

Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [thereon].

11 ১১ ঈশ্বর একবার বলেছেন, দুই বার আমি এই কথা শুনেছি; পরাক্রম ঈশ্বরেরই।

God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God:

12 ১২ আর প্রভু দয়া তোমার, কারণ তুমিই প্রত্যেককে তার কাজ অনুযায়ী ফল দিয়ে থাক।

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
