গীতসংহিতা 60

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর-শূসন এদুৎ। দায়ূদের মিকতাম শিক্ষার্থক। যখন অরাম-নহরয়িমের ও অরাম সোবার সঙ্গে তার যুদ্ধ হয় আর জোয়াব ফিরে লবণোপত্যকায় ইদোমের দ্বাদশ সহস্র লোককে নিহনন করেন, তখন। ঈশ্বর, তুমি আমাকে ত্যাগ করেছ; আমাদের ভেঙ্গেছ; তুমি রাগ করেছ; আবার আমাদের ফিরিয়ে আন।

To the chief Musician upon Shushan-eduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.

2 ২ তুমি দেশকে কাঁপিয়ে তুলেছ; তুমি এটিকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করেছ; কারণ দেশ টলছে।

Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3 ৩ তুমি নিজের লোকেদের কষ্ট দেখেছ; তুমি আমাদের আশ্চর্য্যজনক আঙ্গুর রস পান করিয়েছ।

Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4 ৪ যারা তোমাকে সম্মান করে তুমি তাদেরকে একটি পতাকা দিয়েছ যাতে তারা তীরের থেকে রক্ষা পায়। (সেলা)

Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)

5 ৫ তোমাকে যারা ভালবাসে তারা যেন উদ্ধার পায়, তোমার ডান হাত দ্বারা উদ্ধার কর, আমাকে উত্তর দাও।

That thy beloved may be delivered; save [with] thy right hand, and hear me.

6 ৬ ঈশ্বর তাঁর পবিত্র স্থানে কথা বলেন, “আমি আনন্দিত হব, আমি শিখিম বিভক্ত করব এবং সুক্কতের উপত্যকা মাপব।

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7 ৭ গিলিয়দ আমার এবং মনঃশিও আমার; আর ইফ্রয়িম আমার শিরস্ত্রাণ; যিহূদা আমার রাজদন্ড;

Gilead [is] mine, and Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of mine head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

8 ৮ মোয়াব দেশ আমার ধোবার পাত্র; আমি ইদোমের উপরে নিজের জুতো নিক্ষেপ করবো; আমি পলেষ্টিয়দের বিজয়ের জন্য খুশিতে চিত্কার করব।

Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.

9 ৯ কে আমাকে শক্তিশালী শহরে নিয়ে যাবেন? কে আমাকে ইদোমে নিয়ে যাবে?”

Who will bring me [into] the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

10 ১০ কিন্তু তুমি, ঈশ্বর, তুমি কি আমাদের ত্যাগ করনি? তুমি আমাদের সেনাবাহিনীর সাথে যুদ্ধে যাওনা।

[Wilt] not thou, O God, [which] hadst cast us off? and [thou], O God, [which] didst not go out with our armies?

11 ১১ শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সাহায্য কর; কারণ মানুষের সাহায্য অর্থহীন।

Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

12 ১২ আমরা ঈশ্বরের সাহায্যে জয়লাভ করব; তিনিই আমাদের শত্রুদের নিক্ষিপ্ত করবেন।

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he [it is that] shall tread down our enemies.
