গীতসংহিতা 5

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। বাঁশী যন্ত্রের সাহায্যে। দায়ূদের গীত। আমার কান্না শোন, সদাপ্রভুু; আমার আর্তনাদের বিষয়ে চিন্তা কর।

Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David. Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.

2 ২ আমার কান্নার শব্দ শোন, আমার রাজা এবং আমার ঈশ্বর। কারণ আমি তোমার কাছে প্রার্থনা করছি।

Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.

3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু, সকালে তুমি কান্না শুনবে; সকালে আমি তোমার উদ্দেশ্যে আমার প্রার্থনা আনব এবং প্রত্যাশায় অপেক্ষা করব।

For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice.

4 ৪ নিশ্চয়ই তুমি এমন একজন ঈশ্বর নও যিনি মন্দ কাজকে অনুমোদন করেন; মন্দ লোকেরা তোমার অতিথি হবে না।

In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity.

5 ৫ অহঙ্কারীরা তোমার উপস্থিতিতে দাঁড়াবে না, তুমি তাদের ঘৃণা কর যারা অন্যায় ব্যবহার করে।

Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.

6 ৬ তুমি মিথ্যাবাদীদের ধ্বংস করবে, সদাপ্রভুু হিংস্র এবং প্রতারণাপূর্ণ মানুষকে তুচ্ছ করেন।

Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor.

7 ৭ কিন্তু আমার জন্য, তোমার মহান চুক্তির বিশ্বস্ততার কারণে, আমি তোমার গৃহে আসব; আমি তোমার পবিত্র মন্দিরের দিকে ভয়ে নত হব।

But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear.

8 ৮ হে প্রভু, আমার শত্রুদের কারণে তোমার ধার্ম্মিকতায় আমাকে পরিচালনা কর, আমার সামনে তোমার পথ সোজা কর।

Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight.

9 ৯ কারণ তাদের মুখের মধ্যে কোন সত্যতা নেই; তাদের অন্তর হচ্ছে দুষ্ট, তাদের গলা খোলা সমাধির মত, তারা তাদের জিভ দিয়ে তোষামোদ করে।

For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.

10 ১০ ঈশ্বর তাদের দোষী সাব্যস্ত কর, তাদের পরিকল্পনাই তাদের সর্বনাশ নিয়ে আসবে, তাদের অনেক পাপের জন্য তাদের তাড়িয়ে দাও, কারণ তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছে।

Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord.

11 ১১ কিন্তু যারা তোমার মধ্যে আশ্রয় নেয় তারা সবাই আনন্দিত হোক; তারা সবদিন আনন্দের গান করুক কারণ তুমি তাদের রক্ষা করছ; যারা তোমার নাম ভালবাসে তারা তোমার মধ্যে আনন্দিত হোক।

But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee:

12 ১২ কারণ তুমি ধার্ম্মিকদের আশীর্বাদ করবে, সদাপ্রভুু, তুমি অনুগ্রহের সঙ্গে তাদের চারপাশে ঢাল হিসাবে থাকবে।

For thou wilt bless the just. O Lord, thou hast crowned us, as with a shield of thy good will.
