গীতসংহিতা 41

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। দায়ূদের একটি গীত। ধন্য সেই যে দুর্বলদের জন্য চিন্তা করে; বিপদের দিনের সদাপ্রভুু তাকে উদ্ধার কর।

To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. How happy is he that is attentive to the poor, In the day of calamity, will Yahweh deliver him:

2 ২ সদাপ্রভুু, তাকে রক্ষা করবেন এবং জীবিত রাখবেন ও সে দেশেতে আশীর্বাদ পাবে; সদাপ্রভুু তাঁর শত্রুদের ইচ্ছার ওপরে তাদের ফিরিয়ে দেবেন না।

Yahweh, will preserve him and keep him alive, And he shall be pronounced happy in the land, Do not then give him up at the desire of his enemies!

3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু তাকে কষ্টভোগের বিছানাতে সমর্থন করেন; তার অসুস্থতার বিছানা থেকে তাকে পুনরুদ্ধার করে।

Yahweh, will sustain him upon the bed of sickness, All his couch, hast thou transformed in his disease.

4 ৪ আমি বলেছিলাম, “সদাপ্রভুু, আমার উপর করুণা করো: আমার প্রাণ সুস্থ কর, কারণ আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করেছি।”

I, said—O Yahweh, show me favour, heal thou my soul, for I have sinned against thee:

5 ৫ আমার শত্রুরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে মন্দ কথা বলে, কখন সে মারা যাবে এবং তার নাম শেষ হবে?

Mine enemies, speak ill of me, When will he die, and his name perish?

6 ৬ যদি আমার শত্রু আমাকে দেখতে আসে, তিনি অর্থহীন কথা বলে; তার হৃদয় নিজের জন্য আমার দূর্যোগ তুলে ধরে, যখন সে আমার কাছ থেকে চলে যায় ও অন্যদের বলে এটির সম্পর্কে।

And, if he have come to see me, Falsehood, doth he speak, His own heart, gathereth iniquity to itself, he goeth forth, abroad he telleth it.

7 ৭ যে সমস্তরা আমাকে ঘৃণা করে তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে ফিসফিস করে কথা বলে; তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে একে অপরের সাথে আলোচনা করে।

Together—against me, do all who hate me whisper among themselves, Against me, devise they hurt for me.

8 ৮ তারা বলে, “একটি খারাপ রোগ,” “তাকে শক্তভাবে ধরে রাখে, এখন সে শুয়ে আছে সে আর উঠবে না।”

An infliction of the Abandoned One hath been fixed upon him, and, now that he hath lien down, he will not again rise.

9 ৯ প্রকৃত পক্ষে, এমন কি আমার ঘনিষ্ঠ বন্ধু যাকে আমি বিশ্বাস করি যিনি আমার রুটি খেয়েছেন, আমার বিরুদ্ধে তার গোড়ালি তোলে।

Even the man whom I used to salute, in whom I put confidence, who used to eat my bread, —hath magnified his heel against me!

10 ১০ কিন্তু তুমি, সদাপ্রভুু, আমার প্রতি করুণা কর এবং আমাকে ওঠাও, যাতে আমি প্রতিশোধ নিতে পারি।

But, thou, O Yahweh, show me favour and raise me up, That I may repay them.

11 ১১ আমি এটা জানি যে, তুমি আমার মধ্যে আনন্দিত, কারণ আমার শত্রু আমার উপরে জয়ী হবে না।

Hereby, do I know that thou delightest in me, In that mine enemy shall not raise a shout over me.

12 ১২ আমার জন্য, তুমি আমার সততায় আমাকে সমর্থন কর এবং চিরকালের জন্য আমার সামনে তোমার মুখ রাখবে।

But, as for me, In my blamelessness, hast thou held me fast, And hast caused me to stand before thee unto times age-abiding.

13 ১৩ হে সদাপ্রভুু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, চিরকাল থেকে অনন্তকাল পর্যন্ত প্রশংসিত হও। আমেন এবং আমেন।

Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, From the age that is past, even unto the age yet to come: Amen and Amen!
