1 ১ দায়ূদের একটি গীত, যখন তিনি তাঁর ছেলে অবশালোমের কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন। সদাপ্রভুু, আমার শত্রুরা কত বেশি! অনেকেই আমার দিকে ঘুরে দাঁড়িয়েছে এবং আমাকে আক্রমণ করেছে।

Adonai, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.

2 ২ অনেকে আমার সম্পর্কে বলে, “সেখানে তার জন্য ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে কোন সাহায্য নেই।” (সেলা)

Many there are who say of my soul, “There is no yishu'ah ·salvation· for him in God.” (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·

3 ৩ কিন্তু তুমি, সদাপ্রভুু, আমার বেষ্টনকারী ঢাল, আমার গৌরব এবং যিনি আমার মাথা উপরে তোলেন।

But you, Adonai, are a shield around me, my kavod ·weighty glory·, and the one who lifts up my head.

4 ৪ আমি সদাপ্রভুুর উদ্দেশ্যে আমার কন্ঠস্বর তুলি এবং তিনি তাঁর পবিত্র পর্বত থেকে আমাকে উত্তর দেন।

I cry to Adonai with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·

5 ৫ আমি শুয়ে পড়লাম ও ঘুমিয়ে পড়লাম, আমি জেগে উঠলাম, কারণ সদাপ্রভুু আমাকে রক্ষা করেছেন।

I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Adonai sustains me.

6 ৬ আমি বহু সংখ্যক লোকেদের ভয় পাবনা, যারা চারিদিক দিয়ে আমার বিরুদ্ধে নিজেদেরকে স্থাপন করেছে।

I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.

7 ৭ সদাপ্রভুু! ওঠ, আমার ঈশ্বর! আমাকে রক্ষা কর, কারণ তুমি আমার সমস্ত শত্রুদের চোয়ালে আঘাত করবে, তুমি দুষ্টদের দাঁত ভাঙ্গবে।

Arise, Adonai! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.

8 ৮ পরিত্রাণ সদাপ্রভুুর কাছ থেকে আসে, তোমার আশীর্বাদ তোমার লোকেদের উপরে আসুক। (সেলা)
