গীতসংহিতা 25

1 ১ দায়ূদের একটি গীত। সদাপ্রভুু, তোমারই দিকে আমি আমার প্রাণ তুলে ধরি!

“Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

2 ২ আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তোমাকে বিশ্বাস করি। আমাকে হতাশ হতে দিয়ো না; আমার শত্রুদের আমার উপর জয়ী হতে দিয়ো না।

O my God, in thee do I trust, let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.

3 ৩ তোমার মধ্যে যারা আশা করে তারা কেউই লজ্জিত হবে না, কিন্তু যারা অকারণে বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করে তারাই লজ্জিত হবে!

Yea, none that wait on thee will be put to shame: let those be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause.

4 ৪ সদাপ্রভুু, আমাকে তোমার পথ দেখাও; তোমার পথের বিষয়ে আমাকে শিক্ষা দাও।

Show me, O Lord, thy ways; teach me thy paths.

5 ৫ তোমার সত্য সম্পর্কে নির্দেশ দাও এবং আমাকে শেখাও, কারণ তুমি আমার পরিত্রানের ঈশ্বর; আমি সমস্ত দিন ধরে তোমাতে আশা রাখি।

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day.

6 ৬ সদাপ্রভুু, মনে কর, তোমার করুণা এবং চুক্তির বিশ্বস্ততায় তোমার কাজকে; কারণ তারা সবদিন বিদ্যমান।

Remember thy mercies, O Lord, and thy kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.

7 ৭ আমার যৌবনের পাপের বিষয়ে স্মরণ করো না; সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার মঙ্গলভাবের কারণে তোমার দয়ার জন্য আমাকে স্মরণ কর।

The sins of my youth and my transgressions do not remember: according to thy kindness bear thou me in remembrance, for the sake of thy goodness, O Lord.

8 ৮ সদাপ্রভুু মঙ্গলময় ও সরল; অতএব তিনি পাপীদের পথ দেখান।

Good and upright is the Lord: therefore he pointeth out to sinners the right way.

9 ৯ তিনি ন্যায়বিচারের সঙ্গে পরিচালনা করেন এবং তিনি নম্রদের পথ দেখান।

He guideth the meek in justice, and he teacheth the meek his way.

10 ১০ যারা তাঁর নিয়ম এবং তাঁর আদেশ পালন করে তাদের কাছে, সদাপ্রভুুর সমস্ত পথ চুক্তির বিশ্বস্ততা এবং বিশ্বাসযোগ্যতা দিয়ে তৈরী।।

All the paths of the Lord are kindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

11 ১১ সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার নামের জন্য, আমার পাপ ক্ষমা করো, কারণ তা বিশাল।

For the sake of thy name, O Lord, pardon my iniquity: although it is great.

12 ১২ কে সেই লোক, যিনি সদাপ্রভুুকে ভয় করেন? প্রভু তাকে তার পছন্দ মত পথের নির্দেশ দেবেন।

Who is that man that feareth the Lord? to him will he point out the way which he is to choose?

13 ১৩ তাঁর জীবন কুশলে বাস করবে এবং তার বংশধরেরা দেশের উত্তরাধিকারী হবে।

His soul shall abide in happiness: and his seed shall inherit the land.

14 ১৪ যারা তাকে অনুসরণ করে তারা সদাপ্রভুুর পরামর্শে চলে এবং তিনি তাদের কাছে নিজের চুক্তি জানান।

The secret counsel of the Lord is for those that fear him, and his covenant—to make it known to them.

15 ১৫ আমার চোখ সব দিন সদাপ্রভুুর উপরে, কারণ তিনি আমার পাকে জাল থেকে মুক্ত করবেন।

My eyes are ever [directed] toward the Lord; for he will draw out of the net my feet.

16 ১৬ আমার দিকে তাকাও এবং আমার প্রতি দয়া কর, কারণ আমি একা ও দুঃখী।

Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.

17 ১৭ আমার হৃদয়ে কষ্ট বাড়ছে; আমার দূর্দশার থেকে আমাকে বের কর।

The distresses of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my afflictions.

18 ১৮ আমার দুঃখ ও কষ্টের প্রতি দেখো, আমার সমস্ত পাপ ক্ষমা কর।

Look on my misery and my trouble; and forgive all my sins.

19 ১৯ আমার শত্রুদের দেখো, কারণ তারা অনেক; তারা নিষ্ঠুর ঘৃণায় আমাকে ঘৃণা করে।

Look at my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with the hatred of violence.

20 ২০ আমার জীবন রক্ষা কর এবং আমাকে উদ্ধার কর; আমাকে অপমানিত হতে দিও না, কারণ আমি তোমাতে আশ্রয় নিয়েছ!

Oh, guard my soul; and deliver me: let me not be put to shame; for I put my trust in thee.

21 ২১ সততা এবং ন্যায়পরায়ণতা আমাকে রক্ষা করুক, কারণ আমি তোমাতে আশা করি।

Let integrity and uprightness guard me; for I wait on thee.

22 ২২ হে ঈশ্বর, ইস্রায়েলকে উদ্ধার কর, তার সমস্ত সঙ্কট থেকে।

Redeem, O God, Israel out of all his distresses.
