গীতসংহিতা 124

1 ১ দায়ূদের আরোহণের একটি গীত। “যদি সদাপ্রভুু আমাদের পক্ষে না থাকতেন,” ইস্রায়েলকে তা বলতে দাও,

A song of degrees, or Psalme of David. If the Lord had not bene on our side, (may Israel now say)

2 ২ যদি সদাপ্রভুু আমাদের পক্ষে না থাকতেন, যখন লোকেরা আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে উঠেছিল,

If the Lord had not bene on our side, when men rose vp against vs,

3 ৩ তখন তারা আমাদেরকে জীবন্ত গিলে নিত, তখন তারা আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রচন্ড রাগে ফেটে পড়তো।

They had then swallowed vs vp quicke, when their wrath was kindled against vs.

4 ৪ জল আমাদেরকে ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যেত, তীব্র জলস্রোত আমাদের ওপর দিয়ে বয়ে যায়।

Then the waters had drowned vs, and the streame had gone ouer our soule:

5 ৫ তখন গর্জন করা জল আমাদের ডুবিয়ে দিত।

Then had the swelling waters gone ouer our soule.

6 ৬ ধন্য সদাপ্রভুু, তিনি আমাদেরকে তাদের দাঁত দিয়ে ছিঁড়তে দিতেন না।

Praysed be the Lord, which hath not giuen vs as a praye vnto their teeth.

7 ৭ আমাদের প্রাণ ব্যাধের ফাঁদ থেকে পাখির মত রক্ষা পেয়েছে; ফাঁদ ছিঁড়েছে আর আমরা রক্ষা পেয়েছি।

Our soule is escaped, euen as a bird out of the snare of the foulers: the snare is broken, and we are deliuered.

8 ৮ আমাদের সাহায্য সদাপ্রভুু থেকে আসে, যিনি আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তা।

Our helpe is in the Name of the Lord, which hath made heauen and earth.
