হিতোপদেশ 8

1 ১ প্রজ্ঞা কি ডাকে না? বুদ্ধি কি চিত্কার করে না?

¿ Not wisdom does she call out and understanding does she give forth? voice her.

2 ২ সে পথের পাশে উঁচু জায়গার চূড়োয়, মার্গ সকলের সংযোগ স্থানে দাঁড়ায়;

At [the] top of [the] heights on [the] way between [the] pathways she stations herself.

3 ৩ সে প্রবেশ দরজার কাছে, নগরের দরজার কাছে সে চিত্কার করে বলে,

To [the] side of [the] gates to [the] opening of [the] town [the] entrance of [the] doorways they cry aloud.

4 ৪ “হে মানুষেরা, আমি তোমাদেরকে ডাকি এবং মানবজাতির সন্তানদের কাছে আমি আমার রব তুলি।

To you O people I call and voice my [is] to [the] children of humankind.

5 ৫ হে নির্বোধেরা, চতুরতা শিক্ষা কর; হে নির্বোধ সব, সুবুদ্ধি হৃদয় হও।

Understand O naive people prudence and O fools understand heart.

6 ৬ শোনো, কারণ আমি উত্কৃষ্ট কথা বলব এবং যখন আমার ঠোঁট খুলবে যা সঠিক তা বলব।

Listen for princely things I will speak and [the] utterance of lips my [will be] uprightness.

7 ৭ আমার মুখ সত্য কথা বলবে এবং দুষ্টতা আমার ঠোঁটের ঘৃণার বস্তু।

For truth it will utter palate my and [is] an abomination of lips my wickedness.

8 ৮ আমার মুখের সব বাক্য ধর্ম্মময়; তার মধ্যে বাঁকা বা খারাপ কিছুই নেই।

[are] Righteousness all [the] words of mouth my there not among them [is] a twisted [thing] and a distorted [thing].

9 ৯ বুদ্ধিমানের কাছে সে সব স্পষ্ট, জ্ঞানীদের কাছে সে সব সরল।

All of them [are] right to the discerning [person] and upright to [those who] find knowledge.

10 ১০ আমার শাসনই গ্রহণ কর, রূপা নয়, উত্কৃষ্ট সোনার থেকে জ্ঞান নাও।

Take discipline my and may not [you take] silver and knowledge more than gold chosen.

11 ১১ কারণ আমি, প্রজ্ঞা, মুক্তোর থেকেও ভালো, কোনো ইচ্ছার বস্তু তার সমান নয়।

For [is] good wisdom more than jewels and all pleasures not they compare with it.

12 ১২ আমি প্রজ্ঞা, চতুরতার ঘরে বাস করি এবং আমি বিচক্ষণ ও জ্ঞানের অধিকারী।

I wisdom I dwell prudence and knowledge of discretion I find.

13 ১৩ সদাপ্রভুর ভয় দুষ্টদের প্রতি ঘৃণা; অহঙ্কার, দাম্ভিকতা ও খারাপ পথ এবং কুটিল কথা আমি ঘৃণা করি।

[the] fear of Yahweh [is] to hate evil pride and arrogance - and a way evil and a mouth of perversities I hate.

14 ১৪ পরামর্শ ও বুদ্ধিকৌশল আমার, আমিই সুবিবেচনা, পরাক্রম আমার।

[belong] to Me counsel and sound wisdom I [am] understanding [belongs] to me strength.

15 ১৫ আমার জন্য রাজারা রাজত্ব করেন, মন্ত্রিরা ধর্ম্মব্যবস্থা স্থাপন করেন।

By me kings they reign and rulers they enact righteousness.

16 ১৬ আমার জন্য শাসনকর্তারা শাসন করেন, অধিপতিরা, পৃথিবীর সব বিচারকর্তারা, করেন।

By me princes they rule and noble [people] all judges of (righteousness. *LH)

17 ১৭ যারা আমাকে প্রেম করে, আমিও তাদেরকে প্রেম করি, যারা সযত্নে আমাকে খোঁজে তারা আমাকে পায়।

I ([those who] love me *QK) I love and [those who] earnestly seek me they find me.

18 ১৮ আমার কাছে আছে ঐশ্বর্য্য ও সম্মান, অক্ষয় সম্পত্তি ও ধার্ম্মিকতা।

Wealth and honor [are] with me wealth enduring and righteousness.

19 ১৯ সোনা ও বিশুদ্ধ সোনার থেকেও আমার ফল ভালো, আমি যা উত্পাদন করি তা বিশুদ্ধ রূপার থেকে ভালো।

[is] good Fruit my more than gold and more than pure gold and gain my more than silver chosen.

20 ২০ আমি ধার্মিকতার পথে চলি, ন্যায়ের মধ্য দিয়ে যাই,

In [the] path of righteousness I walk in [the] midst of [the] pathways of justice.

21 ২১ যেন, যারা আমাকে প্রেম করে, তাদেরকে সম্পদ দিই, তাদের ভান্ডার সব পরিপূর্ণ করি।

To give as an inheritance [those who] love me - substance and treasuries their I fill.

22 ২২ সদাপ্রভু নিজের পথের শুরুতে আমাকে রেখে ছিলেন, তাঁর কাজ সকলের আগে, আগে থেকে।

Yahweh he created me [the] beginning of way his [the] beginning of works his from then.

23 ২৩ আমি স্থাপিত হয়েছি অনাদিকাল থেকে, আদি থেকে, পৃথিবী সৃষ্টির আগে থেকে।

From long ago I was installed from [the] beginning from [the] beginnings of [the] earth.

24 ২৪ সেখানে সমুদ্রের আগে, তখন আমি জন্মেছিলাম, যখন জলভর্তি ঝরনা সব হয়নি।

When there not [were] [the] deeps I was brought forth when there not [were] springs abounding of water.

25 ২৫ পর্বত সব বসানোর আগে, উপপর্বত সবার আগে আমি জন্মেছিলাম;

Before mountains they were planted before [the] hills I was brought forth.

26 ২৬ তখন তিনি স্থল ও মাঠ সৃষ্টি করেননি, জগতের ধূলোর প্রথম অণুও সৃষ্টি করেননি।

Until not he had made [the] earth and [the] open places and [the] first of [the] dusts of [the] world.

27 ২৭ যখন তিনি আকাশমন্ডল প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন, তখন আমি সেখানে ছিলাম; যখন তিনি জলধিপৃষ্ঠের ওপর চক্রাকার সীমা নির্ধারন করলেন,

When established he [the] heavens [was] there I when marked out he a circle on [the] surface of [the] deep.

28 ২৮ যখন তিনি ওপরের আকাশ দৃঢ়রূপে তৈরী করলেন, যখন জলের ঢেউ সব শক্তিশালী হল,

When made firm he [the] clouds above when became strong [the] springs of [the] deep.

29 ২৯ যখন তিনি সমুদ্রের সীমা ঠিক করলেন, যেন জল তাঁর আদেশ অমান্য না করে, যখন তিনি পৃথিবীর মূল নির্ধারণ করলেন;

When set he for the sea - limit its and [the] waters not they will transgress mouth his when marked out he [the] foundations of [the] earth.

30 ৩০ সেই দিন আমি তার কাছে কৌশলী কারিগর ছিলাম; আমি দিনের র পর দিন আনন্দময় ছিলাম, তার সামনে প্রতিদিন আমোদ করতাম;

And I was beside him an artisan and I was delight day - day playing before him at every time.

31 ৩১ আমি তাঁর ভূমন্ডলে আমোদ করতাম, মানুষের ছেলেদের নিয়ে আনন্দ করতাম।

Playing in [the] world of earth his and delight my [were] with [the] children of humankind.

32 ৩২ এবং এখন, আমার পুত্ররা, এখন আমার কথা শোনো; কারণ তারা ধন্য, যারা আমার পথে চলে।

And therefore O children listen to me and how blessed! [are those who] ways my they observe.

33 ৩৩ তোমরা শাসনের কথা শোনো, জ্ঞানবান হও; তা অগ্রাহ্য কোরো না।

Listen to correction and act wisely and may not you neglect [it].

34 ৩৪ ধনী সেই ব্যক্তি, যে আমার কথা শোনে, যে দিন দিন আমার দরজায় জেগে থাকে, আমার দরজার পাশে অপেক্ষা করে।

How blessed! [is] a person [who] listens to me by keeping watch at doors my day - day by watching [the] doorposts of doorways my.

35 ৩৫ কারণ যে আমাকে পায়, সে জীবন পায় এবং সদাপ্রভুর অনুগ্রহ লাভ করে।

For [one who] finds me (he finds *QK) life and he obtained favor from Yahweh.

36 ৩৬ কিন্তু যে আমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করে, সে নিজেকে করে; সে সব লোক ঘৃণা করে, তারা মৃত্যুকে ভালবাসে।”

And [one who] misses me [is] doing wrong to self his all [those who] hate me they love death.
