Then Pharisees [Separated] and Torah-Teachers came to Yeshua [Salvation] from Jerusalem [City of peace], saying,
2 ২ আপনার শিষ্যরা কি জন্য প্রাচীন পূর্বপুরুষদের নিয়ম কানুন পালন করে না? কারণ খাওয়ার দিনের তারা হাত ধোয় না।
“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”
3 ৩ তিনি এর উত্তরে তাদের বললেন, “তোমরাও তোমাদের পরম্পরাগত নিয়ম কানুনের জন্য ঈশ্বরের আদেশ অবজ্ঞা কর কেন?”
He answered them, “Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 ৪ কারণ ঈশ্বর আদেশ করলেন, “তুমি তোমার বাবাকে ও মাকে সম্মান করবে, আর যে কেউ বাবার কি মায়ের নিন্দা করে, তার মৃত্যুদণ্ড অবশ্যই হবে।”
For God enjoins these word, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
5 ৫ কিন্তু তোমরা বলে থাক, যে ব্যক্তি বাবাকে কি মাকে বলে, “আমি যা কিছু দিয়ে তোমার উপকার করতে পারতাম, তা ঈশ্বরকে উত্সর্গ করা হয়েছে,”
But you say, ‘Whoever may tell his father or his mother, “Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”
6 ৬ সেই ব্যক্তির বাবাকে বা তার মাকে আর সম্মান করার দরকার নেই, এই ভাবে তোমরা নিজেদের পরম্পরাগত নিয়ম কানুনের জন্য ঈশ্বরের বাক্যকে অগ্রাহ্য করছ।
then he is rid of his duty to honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah [Salvation of Yah] prophesy of you, saying,
‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”
He summoned the multitude, and said to them, “Hear, and understand.
11 ১১ মুখের ভেতরে যা কিছু যায়, তা যে মানুষকে অপবিত্র করে, এমন নয়, কিন্তু মুখ থেকে যা বের হয়, সে সব মানুষকে অপবিত্র করে।”
That which enters into the mouth does not defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
Then the disciples came, and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees [Separated] were offended, when they heard this saying?”
13 ১৩ তিনি এর উত্তরে বললেন, “আমার স্বর্গীয় পিতা যে সমস্ত চারা রোপণ করেননি, সে সমস্তই উপড়িয়ে ফেলা হবে।”
But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.
14 ১৪ ওদের কথা বাদ দাও, ওরা নিজেরা অন্ধ হয়ে অন্য অন্ধদের পথ দেখায়, অন্ধ যদি অন্ধকে পথ দেখায় তবে দুজনেই গর্তে পড়বে।
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
Peter [Rock] answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”
So Yeshua [Salvation] said, “Do you also still not understand?
Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
19 ১৯ কারণ হৃদয় থেকে কুচিন্তা, নরহত্যা, ব্যভিচার, বেশ্যাগমন, চুরি, মিথ্যাসাক্ষ্য, ঈশ্বরনিন্দা বের হয়ে আসে।
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, moicheiai ·adulteries·, porhneia ·sexual immorality·, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with ritually unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
Yeshua [Salvation] went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 ২২ আর দেখ, ঐ অঞ্চলের একটি কনানীয় মহিলা এসে চিত্কার করে বলতে লাগল, হে প্রভু, দায়ূদ-সন্তান, আমাকে দয়া করুন, আমার মেয়েটি ভূতগ্রস্ত হয়ে অত্যন্ত কষ্ট পাচ্ছে।
Behold, a Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled] woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David [Beloved]! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
23 ২৩ কিন্তু তিনি তাকে কিছুই উত্তর দিলেন না। তখন তাঁর শিষ্যেরা কাছে এসে তাঁকে অনুরোধ করলেন, একে বিদায় করুন, কারণ এ আমাদের পিছন পিছন চিত্কার করছে।
But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away; for she cries after us.”
But he answered, “I was not sent to just anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel [God prevails].”
But she came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, help me.”
But he answered, “It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
27 ২৭ তাতে সে বলল, “হ্যাঁ, প্রভু, কারণ কুকুরেরাও তাদের মালিকের টেবিলের নিচে পড়ে থাকা সন্তানদের সেই সব খাবারের গুঁড়াগাঁড়া তারা খায়।”
But she said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 ২৮ তখন যীশু এর উত্তরে তাকে বললেন, “হে নারী, তোমার বড়ই বিশ্বাস, তোমার যেমন ইচ্ছা, তেমনি তোমার প্রতি হোক।” আর সেই মুহূর্তেই তার মেয়ে সুস্থ হল।
Then Yeshua [Salvation] answered her, “Woman, great is your trusting faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Yeshua [Salvation] departed there, and came near to the sea of Galilee [District, Circuit]; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 ৩০ আর অনেক লোক তাঁর কাছে আসতে লাগল, তারা তাদের সঙ্গে খোঁড়া, অন্ধ, বোবা, নুলা এবং আরও অনেক লোককে নিয়ে তাঁর পায়ের কাছে ফেলে রাখল, আর তিনি তাদের সুস্থ করলেন।
Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them,
31 ৩১ আর এই ভাবে বোবারা কথা বলছিল, নুলারা সুস্থ হচ্ছিল, খোঁড়ারা হাঁটতে পারছিল এবং অন্ধেরা দেখতে পাচ্ছিল, তখন তারা এই সব দেখে খুবই আশ্চর্য্য হল এবং ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের গৌরব করল।
so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the injured healed, the lame walking, and the blind seeing— and they glorified the God of Israel [God prevails].
32 ৩২ তখন যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের কাছে ডেকে বললেন, “এই লোকদের জন্য আমার করুণা হচ্ছে, কারণ এরা আজ তিন দিন আমার সঙ্গে আছে এবং এদের কাছে খাবার কিছুই নেই, আর আমি এদেরকে না খাইয়ে বাড়িতে পাঠিয়ে দিতে চাই না, কারণ এরা রাস্তায় দুর্বল হয়ে পড়বে।”
Yeshua [Salvation] summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”
33 ৩৩ তাঁর শিষ্যেরা উত্তর দিয়ে বললেন, “এই নির্জন জায়গায় আমরা কোথা থেকে এত রুটি পাবো এবং এত লোককে কিভাবে তৃপ্ত করব?”
The disciples said to him, “Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
34 ৩৪ যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, “তোমাদের কাছে কতগুলি রুটি আছে?” তাঁরা বললেন, “সাতখানা, আর কয়েকটি ছোট মাছ আছে।”
Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
36 ৩৬ পরে তিনি সেই সাতখানা রুটি ও সেই কয়েকটি মাছ নিলেন, ধন্যবাদ দিয়ে ভাঙলেন এবং শিষ্যদের দিলেন, শিষ্যেরা লোকদেরকে দিলেন।
and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37 ৩৭ তখন লোকেরা পেট ভরে খেল এবং সন্তুষ্ট হলো; পরে শিষ্যরা পড়ে থাকা অবশিষ্ট গুঁড়াগাঁড়া জড়ো করে পুরোপুরি সাত ঝুড়ি ভর্তি করে তুলে নিলেন।
They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
Then he sent away the multitudes, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdala.
