মথি 10
1 ১ পরে তিনি নিজের বারো জন শিষ্যকে কাছে ডেকে তাঁদের অশুচি আত্মাদের উপরে শিক্ষা দিলেন, যেন তাঁরা তাদের ছাড়াতে এবং সব রকম রোগ-ব্যাধি থেকে সুস্থ করতে পারেন।
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 ২ সেই বারো জন প্রেরিতের নাম এই প্রথম, শিমোন, যাকে পিতর বলে এবং তাঁর ভাই আন্দ্রিয়, সিবদিয়ের পুত্র যাকোব এবং তাঁর ভাই যোহন,
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simeon [Hearing], who is called Peter [Rock]; Andrew [Manly], his brother; James son of Zebedee [Surplanter son of Yah Has Bestowed]; John [Yah is gracious], his brother;
Philip [Loves horses]; Bartholomew [Son who suspends waters]; Thomas [Seeker of truth]; Matthew [Gift of Yah] the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus [Surplanter son-of Changing]; Lebbaeus [Child of courage], who was also called Thaddaeus [Child of heart];
Simeon [Hearing] the Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled]; and Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], who also betrayed him.
5 ৫ এই বারো জনকে যীশু পাঠিয়ে দিলেন, আর তাঁদের এই নির্দেশ দিলেন, তোমরা অযিহূদীরা যেখানে বাস করে সেখানে যেও না এবং শমরীয়দের কোন শহরে প্রবেশ কর না;
Yeshua [Salvation] sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain].
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel [God prevails].
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven (God) is at hand!’
8 ৮ অসুস্থদেরকে সুস্থ কর, মৃতদেরকে বাঁচিয়ে তোল, কুষ্ঠ রোগীদেরকে শুদ্ধ কর, ভূতদেরকে বের করে দাও; কারণ তোমরা বিনামূল্যে পেয়েছ, বিনামূল্যে দান কর।
Heal the sick, cleanse the people afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy·, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10 ১০ যাওয়ার জন্য থলি কি দুটি জামাকাপড় কি জুতো কি লাঠি, এ সব নিও না; কারণ যে কাজ করে সে তার বেতনের যোগ্য।
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 ১১ আর তোমরা যে শহরে কি গ্রামে প্রবেশ করবে, সেখানকার কোন ব্যক্তি যোগ্য, তা খোঁজ করো, আর যে পর্যন্ত অন্য জায়গায় না যাও, সেখানে থেকো।
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
As you enter into the household, say “Shalom aleikhem! ·Complete peace my family·!
13 ১৩ তাতে সেই ঘরের লোক যদি যোগ্য হয়, তবে তোমাদের শান্তি তাদের প্রতি আসুক; কিন্তু যদি যোগ্য না হয়, তবে তোমাদের শান্তি তোমাদের কাছে ফিরে আসুক।
If the household deserves it, let your shalom ·complete peace· come on it, but if it is not, let your shalom ·complete peace· make teshuvah ·complete return· to you.
14 ১৪ আর যে কেউ তোমাদের গ্রহণ না করে এবং তোমাদের কথা না শোনে, সেই ঘর কিংবা সেই শহর থেকে বের হবার দিনের নিজের নিজের পায়ের ধূলো ঝেড়ে ফেলো।
Whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
15 ১৫ আমি তোমাদের সত্য কথা বলছি, বিচার দিনের সেই শহরের দশা থেকে বরং সদোম ও ঘমোরা দেশের দশা সহনীয় হবে।
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants] in the day of judgment than for that city.
16 ১৬ দেখ, নেকড়েদের মধ্যে যেমন মেষ, তেমনি আমি তোমাদের পাঠাচ্ছি; অতএব তোমরা সাপের মতো সতর্ক ও পায়রার মতো অমায়িক হও।
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 ১৭ কিন্তু লোকদের থেকে সাবধান থেকো; কারণ তারা তোমাদের বিচার সভায় সমর্পণ করবে এবং নিজেদের সমাজঘরে নিয়ে বেত মারবে।
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
18 ১৮ এমনকি, আমার জন্য তোমরা রাজ্যপাল ও রাজাদের সামনে, তাদের ও অইহূদিদের কাছে সাক্ষ্য দেবার জন্য হাজির হবে।
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 ১৯ কিন্তু লোকে যখন তোমাদের সমর্পণ করবে, তখন তোমরা কিভাবে কি বলবে, সে বিষয়ে ভেবো না; কারণ তোমাদের যা বলবার তা সেই দিনেই তোমাদের দান করা যাবে।
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
For it is not you who speak, but haRuach [the Spirit] of 'Avikah ·your Father· who speaks in you.
21 ২১ আর ভাই ভাইকে ও বাবা সন্তানকে মৃত্যুতে সমর্পণ করবে; এবং সন্তানেরা মা বাবার বিপক্ষে উঠে তাদের হত্যা করাবে।
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 ২২ আর আমার নামের জন্য তোমাদের সবাই ঘৃণা করবে; কিন্তু যে কেউ শেষ পর্যন্ত স্থির থাকবে, সেই পরিত্রান পাবে।
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 ২৩ আর তারা যখন তোমাদের এক শহর থেকে তাড়না করবে, তখন অন্য শহরে পালিয়ে যেও; কারণ আমি তোমাদের সত্য বলছি, ইস্রায়েলের সব শহরে তোমাদের কাজ শেষ হবে না, যে পর্যন্ত মনুষ্যপুত্র না আসেন।
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel [God prevails], until the Son of Man has come.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
25 ২৫ শিষ্য নিজের গুরুর তুল্য ও দাস নিজের কর্তার সমান হলেই তার পক্ষে যথেষ্ট। তারা যখন ঘরের মালিককে ভূতেদের অধিপতি বলেছে, তখন তাঁর আত্মীয়দেরকে আরও কি না বলবে?
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Ba'al-Zibbul [Lord of Flies], how much more those of his household!
26 ২৬ অতএব তোমরা তাদের ভয় কর না, কারণ এমন ঢাকা কিছুই নেই, যা প্রকাশ পাবে না এবং এমন গোপন কিছুই নেই, যা জানা যাবে না।
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 ২৮ আর যারা দেহ হত্যা করে, কিন্তু আত্মা বধ করতে পারে না, তাদের ভয় কর না; কিন্তু যিনি আত্মাও দেহ দুটি কেই নরকে বিনষ্ট করতে পারেন, বরং তাঁকেই ভয় কর। (Geenna g1067)
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead). (Geenna g1067)
29 ২৯ দুটি চড়াই পাখী কি এক পয়সায় বিক্রি হয় না? আর তোমাদের পিতার অনুমতি ছাড়া তাদের একটিও মাটিতে পড়ে না।
“Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin (a trivial cost)? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from 'Avikah ·your Father·’s will,
but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
32 ৩২ অতএব যে কেউ লোকদের সামনে আমাকে স্বীকার করে, আমিও নিজের স্বর্গস্থ পিতার সামনে তাকে স্বীকার করব।
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
33 ৩৩ কিন্তু যে মানুষদের সামনে আমাকে অস্বীকার করে, আমিও নিজের স্বর্গস্থ পিতার সামনে তাকে অস্বীকার করব।
But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
35 ৩৫ কারণ আমি বাবার সাথে ছেলের, মায়ের সাথে মেয়ের এবং শাশুড়ীর সাথে বৌমার বিচ্ছেদ সৃষ্টি করতে এসেছি;
For I came to set a son at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
37 ৩৭ যে কেউ বাবা কি মাকে আমার থেকে বেশি ভালবাসে, সে আমার যোগ্য নয় এবং যে কেউ ছেলে কি মেয়েকে আমার থেকে বেশি ভালবাসে, সে আমার যোগ্য নয়।
He who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
He who does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
39 ৩৯ যে কেউ নিজের প্রাণ রক্ষা করে, সে তা হারাবে; এবং যে কেউ আমার জন্য প্রাণ হারায়, সে তা রক্ষা করবে।
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 ৪০ যে তোমাদের গ্রহণ করে, সে আমাকেই গ্রহণ করে; আর যে আমাকে গ্রহণ করে, সে তো আমাকে যিনি পাঠিয়েছেন সেই ঈশ্বরকেই গ্রহণ করে।
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
41 ৪১ যে ভাববাদীকে ভাববাদী বলে গ্রহণ করে, সে ভাববাদীর পুরষ্কার পাবে; এবং যে ধার্ম্মিককে ধার্মিক বলে গ্রহণ করে, সে ধার্ম্মিকের পুরষ্কার পাবে।
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a upright man in the name of a upright man will receive a upright man’s reward.
42 ৪২ আর যে কেউ এই সামান্য লোকদের মধ্যে কোন এক জনকে আমার শিষ্য বলে কেবল এক বাটি ঠান্ডা জল পান করতে দেয়, আমি তোমাদের সত্য বলছি, সে কোনো মতে আপন রাজত্ব থেকে বঞ্চিত হবে না।
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”
