মার্ক 13
1 ১ যীশু উপাসনা ঘর থেকে যখন বের হয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন তখন তাঁর হয়ে একজন শিষ্য তাঁকে বলল, হে গুরু, দেখুন কি সুন্দর সুন্দর পাথর ও কি সুন্দর বাড়ি!
Then as He was going out from the temple, one of His disciples said to Him: “Teacher, just look! Such stones, such buildings!”
2 ২ যীশু তাকে বললেন, তুমি কি এই সব বড় বড় বাড়ি দেখছ? এর একটা পাথর ও আর একটা পাথরের ওপরে থাকবে না, সবই ধ্বংস হবে।
In answer Jesus said to him: “Do you see these great buildings? Here not a single stone will be left upon another; each one will be thrown down.”
3 ৩ পরে যীশু যখন উপাসনা ঘরের সামনে জৈতুন পর্বতে বসেছিলেন তখন পিতর, যাকোব, যোহন ও আন্দ্রিয় তাঁকে গোপনে জিজ্ঞাসা করল,
Then as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Him privately:
4 ৪ আপনি আমাদের বলুন, কখন এই সব ঘটনা ঘটবে? আর কোন চিহ্ন দেখে আমরা বুঝতে পারবো যে এই সব ঘটার দিন হয়ে এসেছে?
“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign whenever all these things are about to be fulfilled?”
So by way of an answer to them Jesus began by saying: “Take care that no one deceives you.
Because many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.
7 ৭ কিন্তু তোমরা যখন যুদ্ধের কথাও যুদ্ধের গুজব শুনবে, তখন ভয় পেয়ো না; এ সব অবশ্যই ঘটবে, কিন্তু তখনও শেষ নয়।
But whenever you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not let it distress you; because happen they must, but the end is not yet.
8 ৮ এক জাতি অন্য জাতির বিরুদ্ধে, ও এক রাজ্য অন্য রাজ্যের বিরুদ্ধে উঠবে। জায়গায় জায়গায় ভূমিকম্প ও দূর্ভিক্ষ হবে; এই সবই যন্ত্রণা আরম্ভ মাত্র।
Because nation will be raised against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and tumults. These things are the beginning of birth pains.
9 ৯ তোমরা লোকদের থেকে সাবধান থাকো। লোকে তোমাদের বিচার সভার লোকেদের হাতে ধরিয়ে দেবে এবং সমাজঘরে তোমাদের মারা হবে; আর আমার জন্য তোমাদের দেশের রাজ্যপাল ও রাজাদের সামনে সাক্ষী দেবার জন্য দাঁড়াতে হবে।
“But watch out for yourselves, because they will deliver you up to councils and flog you in synagogues, and you will be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them.
Also, the Gospel must first be proclaimed to all the ethnic nations.
11 ১১ কিন্তু লোকে যখন তোমাদের ধরে বিচারের জন্য নিয়ে যাবে, তখন কি বলতে হবে তা নিয়ে ভেবো না; সেই দিন যে কথা তোমাদের বলে দেওয়া হবে, তোমরা তাই বলবে; কারণ তোমরাই যে কথা বলবে তা নয়, কিন্তু পবিত্র আত্মাই কথা বলবেন।
Now whenever they lead you away and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand nor premeditate what you will say; rather, whatever is given to you in that hour, speak that, because it will not be you doing the speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 ১২ তখন ভাই ভাইকে ও বাবা সন্তানকে মৃত্যুতে সমর্পণ করবে; এবং সন্তানেরা মা বাবার বিপক্ষে উঠে তাদের হত্যা করাবে।
“Further, brother will betray brother to death and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
13 ১৩ আর আমার নামের জন্য তোমাদের সবাই ঘৃণা করবে; কিন্তু যে কেউ শেষ পর্যন্ত স্থির থাকবে, সেই পরিত্রান পাবে।
And you will be hated by all for my name's sake, yet he who endures to the end, he will be saved.
14 ১৪ যখন তোমরা দেখবে, সব শেষ করার সেই ঘৃণার জিনিস যেখানে থাকবার নয়, সেখানে রয়েছে যে পড়ে, সে বুঝুক, তখন যারা যিহূদিয়াতে থাকে তারা পাহাড়ি জায়গায় পালিয়ে যাক;
“Now whenever you see the ‘abomination of desolation’, the one spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where he should not”—let the reader understand—“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.
Let him who is in the field not return to his things to get his cloak.
17 ১৭ সেই দিনের যারা গর্ভবতী এবং যারা সন্তানকে বুকের দুধ পান করায় সেই মহিলাদের অবস্থা কি খারাপই না হবে!
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
And pray that your flight not take place in winter,
because those will be days of affliction such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never again shall be.
20 ২০ আর প্রভু যদি সেই দিন গুলির সংখ্যা কমিয়ে না দিতেন, তবে কোন মাংসই রক্ষা পেত না; কিন্তু ঈশ্বর যাদেরকে মনোনীত করে নিয়েছেন তাদের জন্য ঈশ্বর দিন গুলি কমিয়ে দিয়েছেন।
If the Lord did not cut those days short, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He did shorten the days.
21 ২১ আর সেই দিন যদি কেউ তোমাদেরকে বলে, দেখ, সেই খ্রীষ্ট এখানে, কিম্বা দেখ, ওখানে, তোমরা বিশ্বাস কোর না।
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ‘Look, there!’ do not believe it;
22 ২২ কারণ ভণ্ড খ্রীষ্টেরা ও নকল ভাববাদীরা আসবে এবং অনেক আশ্চর্য্য কাজ করবে, যেন তারা ঈশ্বরের মনোনীত করা লোকদেরকেও ঠকাতে পারে।
because false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show signs and wonders so as to even mislead the elect, if that were possible.
So you watch out! See, I have told you everything in advance.
“But in those days, after that tribulation, ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
the stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.’
And then they will see the Son of the Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 ২৭ আর তিনি তাঁর দূতদের পাঠিয়ে পৃথিবীর এবং আকাশের এক সীমা থেকে অন্য সীমা পর্যন্ত চারিদিক থেকে ঈশ্বরের সব মনোনীত করা লোকদের জড়ো করবেন।
And then He will send His angels and gather together His elect from the four winds, from earth's extreme point to heaven's extreme point.
28 ২৮ ডুমুরগাছের গল্প থেকে শিক্ষা নাও; যখন তার ডালপালা নরম হয়ে তাতে পাতা বের হয়, তখন তোমরা জানতে পার যে গরমকাল এসেছে;
“Now learn this example from the fig tree: whenever its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, one knows that the summer is near.
29 ২৯ সেইভাবে যখন তোমরা দেখবে এই সব ঘটছে তখন বুঝতে হবে যে, তাঁর আসার দিন এগিয়ে এসেছে, এমনকি, দরজায় হাজির।
Even so you also, whenever you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!
Assuredly I tell you that this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things happen.
The heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
32 ৩২ কিন্তু সেই দিন বা সেই দিনের কথা কেউ জানে না; স্বর্গের দূতেরাও না, ছেলে ও না, শুধু বাবাই জানেন।
“Now concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels who are in heaven, not the Son, but only the Father.
Watch! Keep alert! Pray! Because you do not know when that time will be.
34 ৩৪ এটা ঠিক যেন, একজন লোক নিজের বাড়ি ছেড়ে কোথাও ভ্রমণে গিয়েছেন; আর তিনি নিজের চাকরদের ক্ষমতা বুঝিয়ে দিলেন এবং দারোয়ানকে জেগে থাকতে আদেশ দিলেন, এই ভাবে সেই দিন আসবে।
It is like a man off on a journey, having left his house and given the authority to his slaves, and to each his work; and he commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.
35 ৩৫ অতএব তোমরাও এই ভাবে জেগে থাকো, কারণ বাড়ির কর্তা সন্ধ্যায়, কি দুপুররাতে, কি মোরগ ডাকার দিন, কি সকালবেলায় আসবেন তোমরা তা জান না;
Therefore be watchful, because you do not know when the master of the house is coming—at evening or at midnight or at cockcrow or early morning—
lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
The things I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
