লুক 17

1 ১ যীশু তার শিষ্যদের আরও বললেন, “পাপের প্রলোভন আসবে না, এমন হতে পারে না; কিন্তু ধিক তাকে, যার মাধ্যমে তা আসে!

Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe [to him] by whom they come!

2 ২ এই ছোটদের মধ্যে এক জনকে যদি কেউ পাপের পথে নিয়ে যায়, তবে তার গলায় ভারী পাথর বেঁধে তাকে সমুদ্রে ফেলে দেওয়া বরং তার পক্ষে ভালো।

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.

3 ৩ তোমরা নিজেদের বিষয়ে সাবধান থাক। তোমার ভাই যদি পাপ করে, তাকে ধমক দাও; আর সে যদি সেই অন্যায় থেকে মন ফেরায় তবে তাকে ক্ষমা কর।

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.

4 ৪ আর যদি সে এক দিনের র মধ্যে সাতবার তোমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করে, আর সাতবার তোমার কাছে ফিরে এসে বলে, আমি এই অন্যায় থেকে মন ফেরালাম, তবে তাকে ক্ষমা কর।”

And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

5 ৫ আর প্রেরিতরা প্রভুকে বললেন, “আমাদের বিশ্বাস বাড়িয়ে দিন।”

And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.

6 ৬ প্রভু বললেন, “একটি সরষে দানার মত বিশ্বাস যদি তোমাদের থাকে, তবে, তুমি শিকড়শুদ্ধ উঠে গিয়ে নিজে সমুদ্রে পুঁতে যাও একথা তুঁত গাছটিকে বললে ও তোমাদের কথা মানবে।”

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.

7 ৭ আর তোমাদের মধ্যে এমন কে আছে, যার দাস হাল বয়ে কিংবা ভেড়া চরিয়ে মাঠ থেকে এলে সে তাকে বলবে, “তুমি এখনই এসে খেতে বস?

But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?

8 ৮ বরং তাকে কি বলবে না, আমি কি খাব, তার আয়োজন কর এবং আমি যতক্ষণ খাওয়া দাওয়া করি, ততক্ষণ কোমর বেঁধে আমার সেবাযত্ন কর, তারপর তুমি খাওয়া দাওয়া করবে?

And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9 ৯ সেই দাস আদেশ পালন করল বলে সে কি তার ধন্যবাদ করে?

Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.

10 ১০ সেইভাবে সব আদেশ পালন করলে পর তোমারও বোলো আমার অযোগ্য দাস, যা করতে বাধ্য ছিলাম, তাই করলাম।”

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.

11 ১১ যিরুশালেমে যাবার দিনের তিনি শমরিয়া ও গালীল দেশের মধ্যে দিয়ে গেলেন।

And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 ১২ তিনি কোনো এক গ্রামে ঢুকছেন, এমন দিনের দশ জন কুষ্ঠরোগী তাঁর সামনে পড়ল, তারা দূরে দাঁড়িয়ে চিৎকার করে বলতে লাগল,

And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.

13 ১৩ “যীশু, নাথ, আমাদের দয়া করুন!”

And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 ১৪ তাহাদের দেখে তিনি বললেন, “যাও, যাজকদের কাছে গিয়ে নিজেদের দেখাও। যেতে যেতে তারা শুদ্ধ হল।”

And when he saw [them], he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.

15 ১৫ তখন তাদের একজন নিজেকে সুস্থ দেখে চিৎকার করে ঈশ্বরের গৌরব করতে করতে ফিরে এলো,

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 ১৬ এবং যীশুর পায়ের উপর উপুড় হয়ে তাঁর ধন্যবাদ করতে লাগল; সেই ব্যক্তি শমরীয়।

And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 ১৭ যীশু উত্তর করে বললেন, “দশ জন কি শুদ্ধ সুস্থ হয়নি? তবে সেই নয় জন কোথায়?

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?

18 ১৮ ঈশ্বরের গৌরব করবার জন্য ফিরে এসেছে, এই অন্য জাতির লোকটি ছাড়া এমন কাউকেও কি পাওয়া গেল না?”

There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 ১৯ পরে তিনি তাকে বললেন, “উঠ এবং যাও, তোমার বিশ্বাস তোমাকে সুস্থ করেছে।”

And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.

20 ২০ ফরীশীরা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য কখন আসবে?” তিনি উত্তর করে তাদের বললেন, “ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য চিহ্নের সাথে আসে না;

And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.

21 ২১ আর লোকে বলবে না, দেখ, এই জায়গায়! ঐ জায়গায়! কারণ দেখ, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য তোমাদের মধ্যেই আছে।”

Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 ২২ আর তিনি শিষ্যদের বললেন, “এমন দিন আসবে, যখন তোমরা মনুষ্যপুত্রের রাজত্বের দিনের র এক দিন দেখতে ইচ্ছা করবে, কিন্তু দেখতে পাবে না।

And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see [it].

23 ২৩ তখন লোকেরা তোমাদের বলবে, দেখ, ঐ জায়গায়! দেখ, এই জায়গায়! যেও না, তাদের পিছনে পিছনে যেও না।

And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow them.

24 ২৪ কারণ বিদ্যুৎ যেমন আকাশের নীচে এক দিক থেকে চমকালে, আকাশের নীচে অন্য দিক পর্যন্ত আলোকিত হয়, মনুষ্যপুত্র নিজের দিনের সেরূপ হবেন।

For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one [part] under heaven, shineth to the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

25 ২৫ কিন্তু প্রথমে তাঁকে অনেক দুঃখভোগ করতে এবং এই দিনের র লোকরা তাঁকে অগ্রাহ্য করবে।

But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.

26 ২৬ আর নোহের দিনের যেমন হয়েছিল, মনুষ্যপুত্রের দিনের ও তেমনি হবে।

And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 ২৭ লোকে খাওয়া দাওয়া করত, বিবাহ করত, বিবাহিতা হত, যে পর্যন্ত না নোহ জাহাজে প্রবেশ করলেন, আর জলপ্লাবন এসে সবাইকে ধ্বংস করল।

They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 ২৮ সেইভাবে লোটের দিনের যেমন হয়েছিল লোকে খাওয়া দাওয়া, কেনাবেচা, গাছ লাগানো ও বাড়ি তৈরী করত;

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

29 ২৯ কিন্তু যেদিন লোট সদোম থেকে বাইরে গেলেন, সেই দিন আকাশ থেকে আগুনও গন্ধকের বৃষ্টি পড়ে সবাইকে ধ্বংস করল

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all:

30 ৩০ মনুষ্যপুত্র যেদিন প্রকাশিত হবেন, সে দিনের ও এই রকমই হবে।

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 ৩১ সেই দিন যে কেউ ছাদের উপরে থাকবে, আর তার জিনিসপত্র ঘরে থাকবে, সে তা নেবার জন্য নীচে না নামুক; আর তেমনি যে কেউ মাঠে থাকবে, সেও ফিরে না আসুক।

In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 ৩২ লোটের স্ত্রীর কথা মনে কর।

Remember Lot's wife.

33 ৩৩ যে কেউ নিজের প্রাণ লাভ করতে চেষ্টা করে, সে তা হারাবে; আর যে কেউ প্রাণ হারায়, সে তা বাঁচাবে।

Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.

34 ৩৪ আমি তোমাদের বলছি, সেই রাত্রিতে দুজন এক বিছানায় থাকবে, তাদের মধ্যে থেকে এক জনকে নেওয়া হবে এবং অন্য জনকে ফেলে যাওয়া হবে।

I tell you, in that night there will be two [men] in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.

35 ৩৫ দুটি স্ত্রীলোক একসাথে যাঁতা পিষবে; তাদের মধ্যে থেকে এক জনকে নেওয়া হবে এবং অন্য জনকে ফেলে যাওয়া হবে।”

Two [women] will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.

36 ৩৬ তখন তারা উত্তর করে তাঁকে বললেন,

Two [men] will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.

37 ৩৭ “হে প্রভু, কোথায়?” তিনি তাদের বললেন, “যেখানে মৃতদেহ, সেখানেই শকুন জড়ো হয়।”

And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body [is], thither will the eagles be collected.
