লেবীয় বই 1
Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying,
2 ২ “তুমি ইস্রায়েলের লোকদেরকে বল, তাদেরকে বল, ‘তোমাদের কেউ যদি সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উপহার আনে, তবে সে গরুর পাল থেকে কিংবা ভেড়ার পাল থেকে একটি পশু উত্সর্গ করতে নিয়ে আসুক।
“Speak to the people of Israel and tell them, 'When any man from among you brings an offering to Yahweh, bring as your offering one of your animals, either from the herd or from the flock.
3 ৩ সে যদি গরুর পাল থেকে হোমবলির উপহার দেয়, তবে সে নির্দোষ এক পুরুষ পশু আনবে, সদাপ্রভুর সামনে গ্রহণযোগ্য হবার জন্য সমাগম তাঁবুর প্রবেশ দরজার সামনে আনবে।
If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer a male without blemish. He is to offer it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, so that it may be accepted before Yahweh.
4 ৪ পরে হোমবলির মাথার ওপরে হাত বাড়িয়ে দেবে; আর তা তার প্রায়শ্চিত্তের জন্যে তার পক্ষে গ্রহণ করা হবে।
He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and then it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for himself.
5 ৫ পরে সে সদাপ্রভুর সামনে সেই ষাঁড়টি হত্যা করবে, যাজকেরা অর্থাৎ হারোণের ছেলেরা তার রক্ত কাছে আনবে এবং সমাগম তাঁবুর প্রবেশ দরজায় অবস্থিত বেদির ওপরে সেই রক্ত চারিদিকে ছিঁটাবে।
Then he must kill the bull before Yahweh. Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood and sprinkle it on the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
Then he must skin the burnt offering and cut it to pieces.
Then the sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar and place wood to feed the fire.
8 ৮ আর হারোণের ছেলে যাজকেরা সেই বেদির উপরে অবস্থিত আগুনের ও কাঠের ওপরে তার সব টুকরো এবং মাথা ও মেদ রাখবে।
Aaron's sons, the priests, are to place the pieces, the head and the fat, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar.
9 ৯ কিন্তু তার অন্ত্র ও পা জলে ধোবে; পরে যাজক বেদির ওপরে সে সব হোমবলি হিসাবে পোড়াবে, যা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে মিষ্টি সুগন্ধ স্বরূপ আগুনে উত্সর্গ করা উপহার।
But its inner parts and its legs he must wash with water. Then the priest will burn everything on the altar as a burnt offering. It will produce a sweet aroma for me; it will be an offering made to me by fire.
10 ১০ আর যদি সে ভেড়ার অথবা ছাগলের পাল থেকে ভেড়া কিংবা ছাগল হোমবলি হিসাবে উপহার দেয়, তবে সে নির্দোষ এক পুরুষ পশু আনবে।
If his offering for the burnt offering is from the flock, one of the sheep or one of the goats, he must offer a male without blemish.
11 ১১ সে অবশ্যই বেদির পাশে উত্তরদিকে সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তা হত্যা করবে এবং হারোণের ছেলে যাজকেরা বেদির ওপরে চারিদিকে তার রক্ত ছিঁটাবে।
He must kill it on the north side of the altar before Yahweh. Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood on every side of the altar.
12 ১২ পরে সে তা টুকরো টুকরো করবে, আর যাজক মাথা ও মেদের সঙ্গে সেটি বেদির ওপরে অবস্থিত আগুনের ও কাঠের ওপরে সাজাবে।
Then he must cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest will lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire, which is on the altar,
13 ১৩ কিন্তু তার অন্ত্র ও পা জলে ধোবে; পরে যাজক সম্পূর্ণটিই উৎসর্গ করবে এবং বেদির ওপরে পোড়াবে; তা হোমবলি এবং সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে মিষ্টি সুগন্ধস্বরূপ আগুনে উত্সর্গ করা উপহার।
but the inner parts and the legs he must wash with water. Then the priest will offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, and it will produce a sweet aroma for Yahweh; it will be an offering made to him by fire.
14 ১৪ যদি সে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে পাখিদের থেকে হোমবলির উপহার দেয়, তবে সে অবশ্যই ঘুঘু কিংবা বাচ্চা পায়রার মধ্য থেকে নিজের উপহার দেবে।
If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of birds, then he must bring as his offering either a dove or a young pigeon.
15 ১৫ পরে যাজক তা বেদির কাছে এনে তার মাথা মোচড় দিয়ে তাকে বেদিতে পোড়াবে এবং তার রক্ত বেদির পাশে ঢেলে দেবে।
The priest must bring it to the altar, wring off its head, and burn it on the altar. Then its blood must be drained out on the side of the altar.
He must remove its crop with its contents, and throw it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for the ashes.
17 ১৭ সে অবশ্যই সেটির ডানা ধরে টেনে ছিঁড়বে কিন্তু সেটিকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে দুই ভাগে ভাগ করবে না এবং যাজক বেদির ওপরে, আগুনের ওপরে অবস্থিত কাঠের ওপরে তাকে পোড়াবে; তা হোমবলি হবে এবং সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে মিষ্টি সুগন্ধ স্বরূপ আগুনে উত্সর্গ করা উপহার’।”
He must tear it open by its wings, but he must not divide it into two parts. Then the priest will burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It will be a burnt offering, and it will produce a sweet aroma for Yahweh; it will be an offering made to him by fire.
