বিচারকর্ত্তৃগণের বিবরণ 18
1 ১ সেই দিনের ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে (কোনো) রাজা ছিল না; আর সেই দিনের দানীয় বংশ নিজেদের বসবাসের জন্য অধিকারের চেষ্টা করছিল, কারণ সেই দিন পর্যন্ত ইস্রায়েল-বংশগুলোর মধ্যে তারা অধিকার প্রাপ্ত হয়নি।
In the days those there not [was] a king in Israel and in the days those [the] tribe of the Danite[s] [was] seeking for itself an inheritance to dwell in for not it had fallen to it until the day that in among [the] tribes of Israel an inheritance.
2 ২ তখন দান-সন্তানরা নিজেদের পূর্ণ সংখ্যা থেকে নিজেদের গোষ্ঠীর পাঁচ জন বীর পুরুষকে দেশ নিরীক্ষণ ও অনুসন্ধান করবার জন্য সরা ও ইষ্টায়োল থেকে পাঠাল; তাদেরকে বলল, “তোমরা যাও, দেশ অনুসন্ধান কর;” তাতে তারা ইফ্রয়িমের পাহাড়ি অঞ্চলে মীখার বাড়ি পর্যন্ত গিয়ে সেই জায়গায় রাত কাটাল।
And they sent [the] descendants of Dan - from tribe their five men from ends their men sons of strength from Zorah and from Eshtaol to spy out the land and to explore it and they said to them go explore the land and they went [the] hill country of Ephraim to [the] house of Micah and they spent [the] night there.
3 ৩ তারা যখন মীখার বাড়িতে ছিল, তখন সেই লেবীয় যুবকের স্বর চিনে কাছে গিয়ে তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “এখানে তোমাকে কে এনেছে? এবং এ জায়গায় তুমি কি করছ? আর এখানে তোমার কি আছে?”
They [were] near [the] house of Micah and they they recognized [the] voice of the young man the Levite and they turned aside there and they said to him who? did he bring you here and what? [are] you doing in this [place] and what? [belongs] to you here.
4 ৪ সে তাদেরকে বলল, “মীখা আমার প্রতি এই এই ধরনের ব্যবহার করেছেন, তিনি আমাকে বেতন দিচ্ছেন, আর আমি তার পুরোহিত হয়েছি।”
And he said to them like this and like this he has done for me Micah and he has hired me and I have become of him a priest.
5 ৫ তখন তারা বলল, “অনুরোধ করি, ঈশ্বরের কাছে জিজ্ঞাসা কর, যেন আমাদের গন্তব্য পথে মঙ্গল হবে কি না, তা আমরা জানতে পারি।”
And they said to him enquire please by God so let us know ¿ will it succeed journey our which we [are] going on it.
And he said to them the priest go to peace [is] before Yahweh way your which you go in it.
7 ৭ পরে সেই পাঁচ জন যাত্রা করে লয়িশে আসল। তারা দেখল, সেখানকার লোকেরা সীদোনীয়দের রীতি অনুসারে সুস্থির ও নিশ্চিন্ত হয়ে নির্বিঘ্নে বাস করছে এবং সে দেশে কোন বিষয়ে (কোনো অভাব নেই যা) তাদেরকে অপ্রস্তুত করতে পারে, কর্তৃত্ববিশিষ্ট এমন কেউ নেই (আরামের কোনো লোকের সঙ্গে) আর সীদোনীয়দের থেকে তারা অনেক দূরে এবং অন্য কারোর সঙ্গে তাদের সম্বন্ধ নেই।
And they went [the] five the men and they came Laish towards and they saw the people which in midst its [was] dwelling to security according to [the] custom of [the] Sidonians at peace - and secure and there not [was one] putting to shame anything in the land [one] possessing oppression and [were] far they from [the] Sidonians and anything not [belonged] to them with anyone.
And they came to brothers their Zorah and Eshtaol and they said to them brothers their what? you.
9 ৯ তারা বলল, “ওঠ, আমরা সেই লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে যাই; আমরা সে দেশ দেখেছি; আর দেখ, তা অতি উত্তম, তোমরা কেন চুপ করে আছ? সেই দেশ অধিকার করবার জন্য সেখানে যেতে দেরী কর না।
And they said arise! so we may go up on them for we have seen the land and there! [it is] good very and you [are] inactive may not you hesitate to go to go to take possession of the land.
10 ১০ তোমরা গেলেই নির্বিঘ্ন এক লোক-সমাজের কাছে পৌছাবে, আর দেশ বিস্তীর্ণ; ঈশ্বর তোমাদের হাতে সেই দেশ সমর্পণ করেছেন; আর সেখানে পৃথিবীর কোন বস্তুর অভাব নেই।”
When go you you will come - to a people secure and the land [is] broad of both hands for he has given it God in hand your a place where there not there [is] lack of any thing which [is] on the earth.
11 ১১ তখন দানীয় গোষ্ঠীর ছয়শো লোক যুদ্ধাস্ত্রে সুসজ্জ হয়ে সেখান থেকে অর্থাৎ সরা ও ইষ্টায়োল থেকে যাত্রা করল।
And they set out from there of [the] tribe of the Danite[s] from Zorah and from Eshtaol six hundred man girded weapons of war.
12 ১২ তারা যিহূদার কিরিয়ৎ-যিয়ারীমে উঠে গিয়ে সেখানে শিবির তৈরী করল। এই কারণ আজ পর্যন্ত সেই জায়গাকে মহনে-দান [দানের শিবির] বলে; দেখ, তা কিরিয়ৎ-যিয়ারীমের পিছনে আছে।
And they went up and they encamped at Kiriath Jearim in Judah there-fore they called the place that Mahaneh Dan until the day this there! behind Kiriath Jearim.
And they passed through from there [the] hill country of Ephraim and they came to [the] house of Micah.
14 ১৪ তখন, যে পাঁচ জন লয়িশ প্রদেশ অনুসন্ধান করতে এসেছিল, তারা নিজের ভাইদেরকে বলল, “তোমরা কি জান যে, এই বাড়িতে এক এফোদ, কয়েকটা ঠাকুর, এক ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা ও ছাঁচে ঢালা এক প্রতিমা আছে? এখন তোমাদের যা কর্তব্য, তা বিবেচনা কর।”
And they answered [the] five the men who had gone to spy out the land Laish and they said to brothers their ¿ do you know that there in the houses these [are] an ephod and teraphim and a carved image and a molten image and therefore consider what? will you do.
And they turned aside there and they came to [the] house of the young man the Levite [the] house of Micah and they asked of him to welfare.
And six hundred man girded [the] weapons of war their [were] standing [the] entrance of the gate who [were] of [the] descendants of Dan.
17 ১৭ আর দেশ নিরীক্ষণের জন্য যারা গিয়েছিল, সেই পাঁচ জন উঠে গেল; তারা সেখানে প্রবেশ করে ঐ ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা, এফোদ, ঠাকুরগুলি ও ছাঁচে ঢালা প্রতিমা তুলে নিল; এবং ঐ পুরোহিত যুদ্ধাস্ত্রে সুসজ্জ ঐ ছয়শো পুরুষের সঙ্গে দ্বার-প্রবেশ-স্থানে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিল।
And they went up [the] five the men who had gone to spy out the land they went there they took the carved image and the ephod and the teraphim and the molten image and the priest [was] standing [the] entrance of the gate and six hundred the man girded [the] weapons of war.
18 ১৮ যখন ওরা মীখার বাড়িতে প্রবেশ করে সেই ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা, এফোদ, ঠাকুরগুলো ও ছাঁচে ঢালা প্রতিমা তুলে নিল, তখন পুরোহিত তাদেরকে বলল, “তোমরা কি করছ?”
And these [men] they went [the] house of Micah and they took [the] carved image of the ephod and the teraphim and the molten image and he said to them the priest what? [are] you doing.
19 ১৯ তারা বলল, “চুপ কর, মুখে হাত দিয়ে আমাদের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে চল এবং আমাদের বাবা ও পুরোহিত হও। তোমার পক্ষে কোন্টা ভাল, এক জনের কুলের পুরোহিত হওয়া, না ইস্রায়েলের এক বংশের ও গোষ্ঠীর পুরোহিত হওয়া?”
And they said to him keep quiet put hand your over mouth your and come with us and become of us a father and a priest ¿ good - [is] being you a priest of [the] house of a man one or? being you a priest of a tribe and of a clan in Israel.
20 ২০ তাতে পুরোহিতের মন আনন্দিত হল, সে ঐ এফোদ, ঠাকুরগুলো ও ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা নিয়ে সে লোকদের মধ্যবর্ত্তী হল।
And it was good [the] heart of the priest and he took the ephod and the teraphim and the carved image and he went in [the] midst of the people.
And they turned and they went and they put the little one[s] and the livestock and the valuable[s] before them.
22 ২২ তারা মীখার বাড়ি থেকে কিছুটা দূরে যাওয়ার পর মীখার বাড়ির কাছের বাড়িগুলির লোকেরা জড়ো হয়ে দান-সন্তানদের কাছে গিয়ে উপস্থিত হল এবং দান-সন্তানদেরকে ডাকতে লাগল।
They they had gone far away from [the] house of Micah and the men who [were] in the houses which [were] near [the] house of Micah they were called together and they overtook [the] descendants of Dan.
And they called out to [the] descendants of Dan and they turned round faces their and they said to Micah what? [is that] to you that you have been called together.
24 ২৪ সে বলল, “তোমরা আমার তৈরী দেবতা ও পুরোহিতকে চুরি করে নিয়ে যাচ্ছ, এখন আমার আর কি আছে?” অতএব “তোমার কি হয়েছে? এটা আমাকে কেন জিজ্ঞাসা করছ?”
And he said gods my which I made you have taken and the priest and you have gone and what? [belongs] to me still and why? this are you saying to me what? [is] to you.
25 ২৫ দান-সন্তানরা তাকে বলল, “আমাদের মধ্যে যেন তোমার রব শোনা না যায়; পাছে (অত্যন্ত) রাগী লোকেরা তোমাদের উপর পড়ে এবং তুমি সপরিবারে প্রাণ হারাও।”
And they said to him [the] descendants of Dan may not you make heard voice your with us lest they should fall on you men bitter of appetite and you will gather life your and [the] life of household your.
26 ২৬ পরে দান-সন্তানরা নিজের পথে গেল এবং মীখা তাদেরকে নিজের থেকে বেশি বলবান দেখে ফিরল, নিজের বাড়িতে ফিরে এল।
And they went [the] descendants of Dan to way their and he saw Micah that [were too] strong they for him and he turned and he returned to house his.
27 ২৭ পরে তারা মীখার তৈরী সমস্ত বস্তু ও তার পুরোহিতকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে লয়িশে সেই সুস্থির ও নিশ্চিন্ত লোক-সমাজের কাছে উপস্থিত হল এবং তরোয়াল দিয়ে তাদেরকে হত্যা করল, আর নগর-আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দিল।
And they they took [that] which he had made Micah and the priest who he belonged to him and they went to Laish to a people at peace and secure and they struck them to [the] mouth of [the] sword and the city they burned with fire.
28 ২৮ উদ্ধারকর্তা কেউ ছিল না, কারণ সে নগর সীদোন থেকে দূরে ছিল এবং অন্য কারও সঙ্গে তাদের সম্বন্ধে ছিল না। আর তা বৈৎ-রহোবের কাছাকাছি উপত্যকা ছিল। পরে তারা ঐ নগর নির্মাণ করে সেখানে বাস করল।
And there not [was] a deliverer for [was] far it from Sidon and anything not [belonged] to them with anyone and it [was] in the valley which [belongs] to Beth Rehob and they rebuilt the city and they dwelt in it.
29 ২৯ আর তাদের পূর্বপুরুষ (পিতা) যে দান ইস্রায়েলের পুত্র, তার নাম অনুসারে সেই নগরের নাম দান রাখল; কিন্তু আগে সেই নগরের নাম লয়িশ ছিল।
And they called [the] name of the city Dan by [the] name of Dan ancestor their who he was born to Israel and but [was] Laish [the] name of the city to the former [time].
30 ৩০ আর দান-সন্তানরা নিজেদের জন্য সেই ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা স্থাপন করল এবং সেই দেশের লোকদের বন্দিত্বের দিন পর্যন্ত মোশির পুত্র গের্শোমের সন্তান যোনাথন এবং তার সন্তানরা দানীয় বংশের পুরোহিত হল।
And they set up for themselves [the] descendants of Dan the carved image and Jonathan [the] son of Gershom [the] son of Manasseh he and sons his they were priests of [the] tribe of the Danite[s] until [the] day went into exile of the land.
31 ৩১ আর যত দিন শীলোতে ঈশ্বরের গৃহ (তাঁবু) থাকল, তারা নিজেদের জন্য মীখার তৈরী ঐ ক্ষোদিত প্রতিমা স্থাপন করে রাখল।
And they set up for themselves [the] carved image of Micah which he had made all [the] days of [the] being of [the] house of God at Shiloh.
