যিহোশূয়ের বই 15
1 ১ পরে গুলিবাট অনুযায়ী নিজেদের গোষ্ঠী অনুসারে যিহূদা-সন্তানদের বংশের অংশ ঠিক করা হল; ইদোমের সীমা পর্যন্ত, অর্থাৎ দক্ষিণ দিকে, দক্ষিণের একেবারে শেষ প্রান্তে, শিন প্রান্তর পর্যন্ত।
This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.
And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:
3 ৩ আর তা দক্ষিণ দিকে অক্রব্বীম উপরে উঠে যাওয়ার রাস্তা দিয়ে সিন পর্যন্ত গেল এবং কাদেশ-বর্ণেয়ের দক্ষিণ দিক্ হয়ে ঊর্দ্ধগামী হল; পরে হিষ্রোণে গিয়ে অদ্দরের দিকে ঊর্দ্ধগামী হয়ে কর্ক্কা পর্যন্ত ঘুরে গেল।
And it went out to the south side to Maalehacrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadeshbarnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa: (Maalehacrebbim: or, the going up to Acrabbim)
4 ৪ পরে অস্মোন হয়ে মিশরের স্রোত পর্যন্ত বের হয়ে গেল; আর ঐ সীমার শেষ প্রান্ত মহাসমুদ্রে ছিল; এই তোমাদের দক্ষিণ সীমা হবে।
[From thence] it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.
And the east border [was] the salt sea, [even] unto the end of Jordan. And [their] border in the north quarter [was] from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
6 ৬ আর সমুদ্রের সেই সীমা থেকে বৈৎ-হগ্লায় উপর দিয়ে গিয়ে বৈৎ-অরাবার উত্তর দিক হয়ে গেল, পরে সে সীমা রূবেণ-সন্তান বোহনের পাথর পর্যন্ত উঠে গেল।
And the border went up to Bethhogla, and passed along by the north of Betharabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:
7 ৭ আর সে সীমা আখোর তলভূমি থেকে দবীরের দিকে গেল; পরে স্রোতের দক্ষিণ পারে অদুম্মীমের উপরের দিকে যাওয়ার রাস্তার সামনে গিল্গলের দিকে মুখ করে উত্তর দিকে গেল ও ঐন্ শেমশ নামে জলাশয়ের দিকে চলে গেল, আর তার অন্তভাগ ঐন্ রোগেলে ছিল।
And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that [is] before the going up to Adummim, which [is] on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of Enshemesh, and the goings out thereof were at Enrogel:
8 ৮ সে সীমা হিন্নোম্-সন্তানের উপত্যকা দিয়ে উঠে যিবূষের অর্থাৎ যিরুশালেমের দক্ষিণ দিকে গেল; পরে ঐ সীমা পশ্চিমে হিন্নোম উপত্যকার সামনে যা রফায়ীম উপত্যকার উত্তর প্রান্তে অবস্থিত পর্বত-চূড়া পর্যন্ত গেল।
And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same [is] Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that [lieth] before the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9 ৯ পরে ঐ সীমা সেই পর্বত-চূড়া পর্যন্ত নিপ্তোহের জলের উনুই পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত হল এবং ইফ্রোণ পর্বতে অবস্থিত নগরগুলি পর্যন্ত বের হয়ে গেল। আর সে সীমা বালা অর্থাৎ কিরিয়ৎ যিয়ারীম পর্যন্ত গেল;
And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which [is] Kirjathjearim:
10 ১০ পরে সে সীমা বালা থেকে সেয়ীর পর্বত পর্যন্ত পশ্চিম দিকে ঘুরে যিয়ারীম পর্বতের উত্তর প্রান্ত অর্থাৎ কসালোন পর্যন্ত গেল; পরে বৈৎ-শেমশ থেকে নিচের দিকে নেমে এসে তিম্নার কাছ দিয়ে গেল।
And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which [is] Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Bethshemesh, and passed on to Timnah:
11 ১১ আর সে সীমা ইক্রোণের উত্তর প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত গেল, পরে সে সীমা শিক্করোণ পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত হল এবং বালা পর্বত হয়ে যব্নিয়েলে গেল; ঐ সীমার অন্তভাগ মহাসমুদ্রে ছিল।
And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12 ১২ আর পশ্চিম সীমা মহাসমুদ্র ও তার অঞ্চল পর্যন্ত। নিজেদের গোষ্ঠী অনুসারে যিহূদা-সন্তানদের চারিদিকের সীমা এই।
And the west border [was] to the great sea, and the coast [thereof]. This [is] the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
13 ১৩ আর যিহোশূয়ের প্রতি সদাপ্রভুর আদেশ অনুসারে তিনি যিহূদা-সন্তানদের মধ্যে যিফুন্নির ছেলে কালেবের অংশ কিরিয়ৎ-অর্ব [অর্বপুর] অর্থাৎ হিব্রোণ দিলেন, ঐ অর্ব অনাকের বাবা।
And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of YHWH to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba the father of Anak, which [city is] Hebron. (the city...: or, Kirjatharba)
14 ১৪ আর কালেব সেই জায়গা থেকে অনাকের সন্তানদের, শেশয়, অহীমান ও তল্ময় নামে অনাকের তিন ছেলেকে অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত করলেন।
And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before [was] Kirjathsepher.
16 ১৬ আর কালেব বললেন, “যে কেউ কিরিয়ৎ-সেফরকে আক্রমণ করে অধিকার করবে, তার সঙ্গে আমি আমার মেয়ে অক্ষার বিয়ে দেব।”
And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjathsepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.
17 ১৭ আর কালেবের ভাই কনষের ছেলে অৎনীয়েল তা অধিকার করলে তিনি তার সঙ্গে তার মেয়ে অক্ষার বিয়ে দিলেন।
And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18 ১৮ আর ঐ কন্যা এসে তার বাবার কাছে একটি জমি চাইতে স্বামীকে বুদ্ধি দিল এবং সে তার গাধার পিঠ থেকে নামল; কালেব তাকে বললেন, “তুমি কি চাও?”
And it came to pass, as she came [unto him], that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off [her] ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?
19 ১৯ সে বলল, “আপনি আমাকে একটি উপহার দিন, দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত জমি আমাকে দিয়েছেন, জলের উনুইগুলিও আমাকে দিন।” তাতে তিনি তাকে উপরের উনুইগুলি ও নিচের উনুইগুলিও দিলেন।
Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21 ২১ দক্ষিণ অঞ্চলে ইদোমের সীমার কাছে যিহূদা-সন্তানদের বংশের প্রান্তে অবস্থিত নগর কব্সেল, এদর, যাগুর,
And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, [and] Hezron, which [is] Hazor,
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
And Hazargaddah, and Heshmon, and Bethpalet,
And Hazarshual, and Beersheba, and Bizjothjah,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities [are] twenty and nine, with their villages:
[And] in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
And Zanoah, and Engannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages: (and Gederothaim: or, or Gederothaim)
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdalgad,
And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
And Gederoth, Bethdagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:
Ekron, with her towns and her villages:
From Ekron even unto the sea, all that [lay] near Ashdod, with their villages: (near: Heb. by the place of)
47 ৪৭ অস্দোদ, তার উপনগর ও সমস্ত গ্রামগুলি; ঘসা, তার উপনগর ও সমস্ত গ্রামগুলি; মিশরের স্রোত ও মহাসমুদ্র ও তার সীমা পর্যন্ত।
Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border [thereof]:
And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
And Dannah, and Kirjathsannah, which [is] Debir,
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
And Janum, and Bethtappuah, and Aphekah, (Janum: or, Janus)
And Humtah, and Kirjatharba, which [is] Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:
Halhul, Bethzur, and Gedor,
And Maarath, and Bethanoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:
Kirjathbaal, which [is] Kirjathjearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:
In the wilderness, Betharabah, Middin, and Secacah,
And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.
63 ৬৩ কিন্তু যিহূদা-সন্তানেরা যিরুশালেমে বসবাসকারী যিবূষীয়দেরকে অধিকার থেকে বঞ্চিত করতে পারল না; যিবূষিয়েরা আজও যিহূদা-সন্তানদের সঙ্গে যিরূশালেমে বাস করছে।
As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
