যিরমিয়ের বই 38
1 ১ মত্তনের ছেলে শফটিয়, পশহূরের ছেলে গদলিয়, শেলিমিয়ের ছেলে যিহূখল ও মল্কিয়ের ছেলে পশহূর শুনল যে, সমস্ত লোকদের কাছে যিরমিয় ঘোষণা করছিলেন। তিনি বলছিলেন,
And he heard Shephatiah [the] son of Mattan and Gedaliah [the] son of Pashhur and Jucal [the] son of Shelemiah and Pashhur [the] son of Malkijah the words which Jeremiah [was] speaking to all the people saying.
2 ২ “সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘যে কেউ এই শহরে থাকবে, সে তরোয়ালে, দূর্ভিক্ষে ও মহামারীতে মারা যাবে; কিন্তু যে কেউ কলদীয়দের কাছে যাবে, সে বাঁচবে। সে লুটিত বস্তুর মত তার প্রাণ বাঁচাবে’।
Thus he says Yahweh the [one who] remains in the city this he will die by the sword by famine and by pestilence and the [one who] goes out to the Chaldeans (and he will live *QK) and it will belong to him life his to plunder and he will live.
3 ৩ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘এই শহর নিশ্চয়ই বাবিলের রাজার সৈন্যদলের হাতে সমর্পিত হবে; তারা এটি দখল করবে’।”
Thus he says Yahweh certainly it will be given the city this in [the] hand of [the] army of [the] king of Babylon and he will capture it.
4 ৪ তখন শাসনকর্তারা রাজাকে বললেন, “এই লোকটিকে মেরে ফেলা হোক। কারণ এই ভাবে কথা বলে এই শহরে অবশিষ্ট সৈন্যদের ও লোকেরা হাত দুর্বল করছে। সে এই লোকদের নিরাপত্তার কথা প্রচার না করে, অমঙ্গলের কথা প্রচার করে।”
And they said the officials to the king let him be put to death please the man this for since he [is] making drop [the] hands of [the] men of war who remain - in the city this and [the] hands of all the people by speaking to them according to the words these that - the man this not he [is] seeking for welfare for the people this that except for harm.
And he said the king Zedekiah there! he [is] in hand your for not the king he is able you anything.
6 ৬ তখন তারা যিরমিয়কে ধরে রাজার ছেলে মল্কিয়ের কুয়োতে ফেলে দিল। এই কুয়োটি ছিল পাহারাদারদের উঠানের মধ্যে। তারা যিরমিয়কে দড়ি দিয়ে সেই কুয়োতে নামিয়ে দিল। সেখানে জল ছিল না, শুধু কাদা ছিল; আর যিরমিয় সেই কাদার মধ্যে ডুবে যেতে লাগলেন।
And they took Jeremiah and they threw him into the cistern of - Malkijah [the] son of the king which [was] in [the] courtyard of the guard and they let down Jeremiah with ropes and in the cistern there not [was] water that except mud and he sank Jeremiah in the mud.
7 ৭ এখন রাজবাড়ীর একজন কূশীয় নপুংসক এবদ-মেলক শুনতে পেল যে, যিরমিয়কে কুয়োতে ফেলে দেওয়া হয়েছে। তখন রাজা বিন্যামীন ফটকে বসে ছিলেন।
And he heard Ebed Melech the Cushite a man a court-official and he [was] in [the] house of the king that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern and the king [was] sitting in [the] gate of Benjamin.
And he went out Ebed Melech from [the] house of the king and he spoke to the king saying.
9 ৯ “হে আমার প্রভু মহারাজ, এই লোকেরা ভাববাদী যিরমিয়ের প্রতি যা করেছে, তা সমস্তই অন্যায়। তারা তাঁকে কুয়োতে ফেলে দিয়েছে; তিনি কুয়োয় ক্ষিদেতে মারা যাবেন, কারণ শহরে আর খাবার নেই।”
O lord my the king they have done evil the men these all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet whom they have thrown into the cistern and he died in it because of famine for there not [is] the food yet in the city.
10 ১০ তখন রাজা কূশীয় এবদ-মেলককে আদেশ দিলেন, “এখান থেকে ত্রিশজন লোক সঙ্গে নাও এবং ভাববাদী যিরমিয়কে, তাঁর মৃত্যুর আগে তুলে আন।”
And he commanded the king Ebed Melech the Cushite saying take in hand your from here thirty men and you will bring up Jeremiah the prophet from the cistern before he will die.
11 ১১ তখন এবদ-মেলক সেই লোকদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে রাজবাড়ীর ভাঁড়ার ঘরের নীচের গেল। সে সেখান থেকে কতগুলি পুরানো ও ছেঁড়া কাপড় নিয়ে দড়ি দিয়ে সেই কুয়োর মধ্যে যিরমিয়ের কাছে নামিয়ে দিল।
And he took - Ebed Melech the men in hand his and he went [the] house of the king to under the storehouse and he took from there worn out things of (clothes *QK) and worn out things of rags and he let down them to Jeremiah into the cistern with ropes.
12 ১২ কূশীয় এবদ-মেলক যিরমিয়কে বলল, “এই পুরানো ও ছেঁড়া কাপড়গুলি আপনি আপনার বগলের নিচে দিন।” যিরমিয় তাই করলেন।
And he said Ebed Melech the Cushite to Jeremiah put please [the] worn out things of the clothes and the rags under [the] joints of hands your from under to [the] ropes and he did Jeremiah thus.
And they drew out Jeremiah with ropes and they brought up him from the cistern and he remained Jeremiah in [the] courtyard of the guard.
14 ১৪ তারপর রাজা সিদিকিয় লোক পাঠিয়ে ভাববাদী যিরমিয়কে সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের তৃতীয় প্রবেশপথে ডেকে আনলেন। রাজা যিরমিয়কে বললেন, “আমি আপনাকে কিছু জিজ্ঞাসা করতে চাই। আমার কাছ থেকে কিছুই লুকাবেন না।”
And he sent the king Zedekiah and he brought Jeremiah the prophet to him to an entrance third which [was] in [the] house of Yahweh and he said the king to Jeremiah [am] about to ask I you a matter may not you hide from me anything.
15 ১৫ তখন যিরমিয় সিদিকিয়কে বললেন, “আমি যদি আপনাকে উত্তর দিই, আপনি কি আমাকে হত্যা করবেন না? আর আমি যদি আপনাকে পরামর্শ দিই, তবে আপনি আমার কথা শুনবেন না।”
And he said Jeremiah to Zedekiah if I will tell to you ¿ not certainly will you put to death me and if I will counsel you not you will listen to me.
16 ১৬ এতে রাজা সিদিকিয় গোপনে যিরমিয়ের কাছে শপথ করে বললেন, “জীবন্ত সদাপ্রভুর দিব্যি, যিনি আমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আমি আপনাকে হত্যা করব না বা আপনাকে তাদের হাতে সমর্পণ করব না, যারা আপনার প্রাণের খোঁজ করছে।”
And he swore the king Zedekiah to Jeremiah in secrecy saying [by] [the] life of Yahweh who he has made for us the life this if I will put to death you and if I will give you in [the] hand of the men these who [are] seeking life your.
17 ১৭ তখন যিরমিয় সিদিকিয়কে বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু, বাহিনীগণের ঈশ্বর, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথা বলেন, ‘তুমি যদি বাবিলের রাজার প্রধানদের কাছে যাও, তবে তুমি বাঁচবে এবং এই শহরও পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হবে না। তুমি ও তোমার পরিবার বাঁচবে।
And he said Jeremiah to Zedekiah thus he says Yahweh [the] God of hosts [the] God of Israel certainly [if] you will go out to [the] commanders of [the] king of Babylon and you will live self your and the city this not it will be burned with fire and you will live you and household your.
18 ১৮ কিন্তু যদি বাবিলের রাজার সেনাপ্রধানদের কাছে না যাও, তবে এই শহর কলদীয়দের হাতে সমর্পিত হবে। তারা এটি পুড়িয়ে দেবে এবং আর তুমি নিজেও তাদের হাত থেকে রেহাই পাবে না’।”
And if not you will go out to [the] commanders of [the] king of Babylon and it will be given the city this in [the] hand of the Chaldeans and they will burn it with fire and you not you will escape from hand their.
19 ১৯ রাজা সিদিকিয় তখন যিরমিয়কে বললেন, “যে সব যিহূদী কলদীয়দের পক্ষে গেছে, আমি তাদের ভয় করি, কারণ হয়তো আমি তাদের হাতে সমর্পিত হবো, আর তারা আমার সঙ্গে খারাপ ব্যবহার করবে।”
And he said the king Zedekiah to Jeremiah I [am] dreading the Jews who they have fallen to the Chaldeans lest they should give me in hand their and they will deal wantonly with me.
20 ২০ যিরমিয় বললেন, “তারা আপনাকে সমর্পণ করবে না। আমি আপনাকে যা বলছি, সদাপ্রভুর সেই বার্তার বাধ্য হন। তাহলে আপনার ভাল হবে এবং আপনি বাঁচবে।
And he said Jeremiah not they will give listen please - to [the] voice of Yahweh to [that] which I [am] speaking to you so it may go well for you so it may live self your.
And if [are] refusing you to go out this [is] the thing which he has shown me Yahweh.
22 ২২ ‘যিহূদার রাজবাড়ীতে অবশিষ্ট স্ত্রীলোকদের বাবিলের রাজার সেনাপ্রধানদের সমর্পণ করা হবে। দেখ! সেই স্ত্রীলোকেরা আপনাকে বলবে, তোমার বন্ধুরা তোমাকে বিপথে নিয়ে গেছে, তোমাকে হারিয়ে দিয়েছে। তোমার পা কাদায় ডুবে গেছে; তোমার বন্ধুরা পালিয়ে গেছে’।
And there! all the women who they are left in [the] house of [the] king of Judah [are] about to be brought out to [the] commanders of [the] king of Babylon and they [will be] saying they misled you and they prevailed to you [the] people of peace your they are sunk in the mire feet your they have turned backwards.
23 ২৩ আপনার সব স্ত্রী ও ছেলে মেয়েদের কলদীয়দের কাছে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে। আপনি নিজেও তাদের হাত থেকে রেহাই পাবেন না। আপনি বাবিলের রাজার হাতে ধরা পড়বেন, আর এই শহর পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হবে।”
And all wives your and children your [people will] bring out to the Chaldeans and you not you will escape from hand their for by [the] hand of [the] king of Babylon you will be captured and the city this it will burn with fire.
And he said Zedekiah to Jeremiah anyone may not he know in the words these and not you will die.
25 ২৫ যদি শাসনকর্তারা শোনে যে, আমি আপনার সঙ্গে কথা বলেছি যদি তারা এসে আপনাকে বলে, ‘তুমি রাজাকে যা বলেছ, তা আমাদের বল। আমাদের কাছ থেকে লুকাবে না, নাহলে আমরা তোমাকে হত্যা করব। রাজা তোমাকে যা বলেছেন তাও আমাদের বল’
And if they will hear the officials that I have spoken with you and they will come to you and they will say to you tell! please to us what? did you say to the king may not you hide [it] from us and not we will put to death you and what? did he say to you the king.
26 ২৬ তবে আপনি তাদের বলবেন, ‘আমি রাজাকে মিনতি করছিলাম, আমি মারার জন্য যেন যোনাথনের বাড়িতে ফেরত না পাঠান’।”
And you will say to them [was] making fall I supplication my before the king to not to send back me [the] house of Jonathan to die there.
27 ২৭ পরে শাসনকর্তারা সবাই যিরমিয়ের কাছে গিয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, তাতে রাজা তাঁকে যে কথা বলতে আদেশ করেছিলেন যিরমিয় তাদের সেই সব উত্তরই দিলেন। তখন তারা তাঁর সাথে কথা বলা বন্ধ করল, কারণ রাজার সঙ্গে তাঁর কথাবার্তা তারা শোনেনি।
And they came all the officials to Jeremiah and they asked him and he told to them according to all the words these which he had commanded the king and they kept silent from him for not it had been heard the matter.
And he remained Jeremiah in [the] courtyard of the guard until [the] day when it was captured Jerusalem. And it was just when it was captured Jerusalem.
