যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 65
1 ১ যারা জিজ্ঞাসা করে নি, আমি তাদেরকে খোঁজার সুযোগ দিয়েছি, যারা খোঁজ করে নি আমি তাদের আমাকে পাওয়ার সুযোগ দিয়েছি। আমি বললাম, এই যে আমি, এই যে আমি! কিন্তু তারা আমার কাছে প্রার্থনা করে নি।
I have let myself be consulted by them who had not asked, I have suffered myself to be found by them who had not sought me, —I have said, Here I am! Here I am! Unto a nation that had not been called by my name,
2 ২ একগুঁয়ে লোকদের দিকে আমি সারা দিন আমার হাত বাড়িয়ে আছি। তারা যে পথে চলে তা মন্দ, তারা তাদের পরিকল্পনা ও চিন্তা অনুযায়ী চলে!
I have spread out my hands all the day, Unto a rebellious people, —Who walk In the way that is not good, After their own devices.
3 ৩ তারা সেই লোক যারা অবিরত আমাকে অসন্তুষ্ট করে; তারা বাগানগুলোতে বলিদান উৎসর্গ করে ও ইটের উপরে ধূপ জ্বালায়।
The people who are provoking me to anger to my face continually, —Sacrificing in gardens, and Burning incense upon bricks;
4 ৪ তারা কবরস্থানে বসে এবং সারা রাত ধরে জেগে থাকে আর গোপন জায়গায় রাত কাটায়; তারা তাদের পাত্রে শূকরের মাংস অশুচি মাংসের ঝোলের সঙ্গে খায়।
Who tarry among graves, And in the secret places, do lodge, Who eat the flesh of swine, And the broth of refuse things is in their vessels, —
5 ৫ তারা বলে, দূরে থাক; আমার কাছে এসো না, কারণ আমি তোমার থেকে বেশি পবিত্র। এই বিষয়গুলো আমার নাকের ধোঁয়ার মত, সেও আগুনের মত যা সারা দিন জ্বলতে থাকে।
Who say—Draw near by thyself, Do not approach with me, For I am holier than thou! These, are A smoke in my nostrils, A fire, burning all the day.
Lo! it is written before me, —I will not keep silence, But I have recompensed, and will recompense into their bosom:
7 ৭ তাদের পাপের জন্য ও তার সঙ্গে তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের পাপের জন্যও দেব, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন। পাহাড় পর্বতে তারা ধূপ জ্বালিয়েছে এবং আমাকে পাহাড়ের ওপরে ঠাট্টা করেছে বলে আমি তাদের প্রতিফল দেব; সেইজন্য আমি তাদের আগের কাজের পাওনা শাস্তি তাদের মেপে দেব।”
Your own iniquities, And the, iniquities of your fathers together, Saith Yahweh, Who have burned incense upon the mountains, And upon the hills, have reproached me, —Therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
8 ৮ এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলছেন, আঙ্গুরের থোকায় রস আছে দেখে লোকে যেমন বলে, নষ্ট কোরো না, এখনও ওর মধ্যে ভাল কিছু আছে, তেমনি আমি আমার দাসদের প্রতি করব।
Thus, saith Yahweh—As, new wine, is found, in the cluster, And one saith, Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it, So, will I do for the sake of my servants, That I may not destroy the whole [nation];
9 ৯ আমি যাকোব থেকে এবং যিহূদা থেকে বংশধরদের তুলব তারা আমার পাহাড় পর্বতের অধিকারী হবে। আমার মনোনীত লোকেরা সেগুলো অধিকার করবে এবং আমার দাসেরা সেখানে বাস করবে।
Therefore will I bring forth Out of Jacob, a seed, and Out of Judah, an inheritor of my mountains, That my chosen ones may inherit it, And, my servants, dwell there;
10 ১০ আমার যে লোকেরা আমার খোঁজ করে তাদের জন্য শারোণ হবে ভেড়ার পাল চরাবার জায়গা আর আখোর উপত্যকা হবে পশুপালের বিশ্রামের জায়গা।
Then shall, Sharon, become, a fold for flocks, And the vale of Achor for the lying down of herds, —For my people who have sought me.
11 ১১ কিন্তু তোমরা যারা সদাপ্রভুকে ত্যাগ করেছ, যারা আমার পবিত্র পাহাড়কে ভুলে গেছ, যারা ভাগ্যদেবের উদ্দেশ্যে টেবিল সাজিয়েছ আর ভাগ্যদেবীর উদ্দেশ্যে মেশানো মদে পাত্র ভরেছ,
But, ye are they—Who forsake Yahweh Who forget my holy mountain—Who prepare, for Fortune, a table and Who fill for Destiny, mixed wine;
12 ১২ আমি তোমাদের জন্য তরোয়াল দিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট করব এবং তোমরা সবাই বধ হবার জন্য নীচু হবে, কারণ আমি যখন তোমাদের ডেকেছিলাম তোমরা উত্তর দাও নি, যখন আমি কথা বলেছিলাম কিন্তু তোমরা শোন নি; তার পরিবর্তে আমার চোখে যা মন্দ তোমরা তাই করেছ এবং যে বিষয়ে আমি অসন্তুষ্ট হই তোমরা তাই বেছে নিয়েছ।
Therefore will I destine you to the sword, And, ye all, to the slaughter, shall bow down. Because I called and ye answered not, I spake, and ye hearkened not, —But did that which was wicked in mine eyes, And of that wherein I delighted not, ye made choice,
13 ১৩ প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলছেন, দেখ, আমার দাসেরা খাবে, কিন্তু তোমরা খিদেয় থাকবে; দেখ, আমার দাসেরা পান করবে, কিন্তু তোমরা পিপাসিত থাকবে; আমার দাসেরা আনন্দ করবে, কিন্তু তোমাদের লজ্জায় ফেলা হবে।
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, —Lo! my servants, shall eat but, ye, shall be famished, Lo! my servants, shall drink but, ye shall be thirsty, —Lo! my servants, shall rejoice but ye, shall turn pale;
14 ১৪ দেখ, আমার দাসেরা উল্লাস করবে কারণ তাদের হৃদয়ে আনন্দ আছে, কিন্তু তোমরা মনের কষ্টে কাঁদবে এবং আত্মার অভিশাপের জন্য হাহাকার করবে।
Lo! my servants, shall shout in triumph for mirth of heart But, ye, shall make outcry, for pain of heart, And for a breaking of spirit, shall ye howl.
15 ১৫ তোমরা আমার মনোনীত লোকদের কাছে তোমাদের নাম অভিশাপ হিসাবে রেখে যাবে এবং আমি, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু, তোমাদের মেরে ফেলব, আমি আমার দাসদের অন্য আর একটা নামে ডাকব।
So shall ye leave your name for an oath, to my chosen ones, —So then My Lord Yahweh, will slay thee, —And his servants, will he, call by another name:
16 ১৬ যে কেউ পৃথিবীতে কোন আশীর্বাদের কথা বলবে সে আমার, সত্যময় ঈশ্বরের দ্বারা আশীর্বাদ পাবে; পৃথিবীতে যে কেউ কোনো শপথ করবে তা আমার, সত্যময় ঈশ্বরের দ্বারাই করা হবে; কারণ আগেকার কষ্ট ভোলা হবে এবং সেগুলো আমার চোখের সামনে থেকে লুকানো হবে।
So that he who blesseth himself in the earth, Will bless himself in the God of faithfulness, And he who sweareth in the earth Will swear by the God of faithfulness—Because the former troubles have been forgotten, and Because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 ১৭ কারণ দেখ, আমি নতুন আকাশ ও একটা নতুন পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করতে চলেছি এবং আগের বিষয়গুলো আর মনে করা হবে না, সেগুলো মনেও পড়বে না।
For, behold me! Creating new heavens, and a new earth, —And the former shall not be mentioned, neither shall they come up on the heart,
18 ১৮ কিন্তু আমি যা সৃষ্টি করতে যাচ্ছি তাতে তোমরা চিরকাল খুশী থাকবে ও আনন্দ করবে। দেখ, আমি যিরূশালেমকে আনন্দের বিষয় করে এবং তার লোকদের একটা খুশীর বিষয় হিসাবে সৃষ্টি করব।
But joy ye and exult, perpetually, in what I am about to create, —For, behold me! Creating Jerusalem an exultation and Her People a joy;
19 ১৯ আমি যিরূশালেমের ওপর আনন্দ করব এবং আমার লোকদের ওপরে খুশী হব; তার মধ্যে আর কোন কান্নার শব্দ ও দুঃখের হাহাকার শোনা যাবে না।
Therefore will I Exult in Jerusalem, and Joy in my People, —And there shall be heard in her, no more The sound of weeping, or the sound of a cry:
20 ২০ সেখানে আর কখনই কোন শিশুই অল্প দিনের র জন্য বেঁচে থাকবে না, কিম্বা কোন বুড়ো লোক তার দিনের র আগে মারা যাবে না। যে কেউ একশো বছর বয়সে মারা যাবে তাকে যুবক বলা হবে; যে একশো বছর বাঁচবে না তাকে অভিশপ্ত বলা হবে।
There shall be thenceforward, no more, A suckling of a few days, or an elder Who filleth not up his days, —But, a youth a hundred years old, may die, Yea a sinner a hundred years old, shall be accursed,
Then shall they build houses and dwell in them, —And plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them;
22 ২২ তারা ঘর তৈরী করলে আর কখনই সেখানে অন্যেরা বাস করবে না, অথবা গাছ লাগালে অন্যেরা তার ফল খাবে না। আমার লোকদের আয়ু একটা গাছের আয়ুর সমান হবে; আমার মনোনীত লোকেরা অনেক দিন ধরে তাদের হাতের কাজের ফল ভোগ করবে।
They shall not build, and another, dwell, They shall not plant, and, another, eat, —For as the days of a tree, shall be the days of my people, And, the work of their own hands, shall my chosen ones, use to the full:
23 ২৩ তারা বৃথাই পরিশ্রম করবে না, আতঙ্কে তাদের সন্তানদের জন্ম দেবে না, কারণ তারা সেই সন্তান যারা সদাপ্রভুর আশীর্বাদের লোক।
They shall not labour in vain, Nor have children for terror, —For the seed of the blessed ones of Yahweh, shall they be, And their offspring, with them.
And it shall come to pass—That before they call, I, will answer, And while yet they are speaking, I, will hear.
25 ২৫ নেকড়ে বাঘ ও ভেড়া এক সঙ্গে বাস করবে এবং সিংহ গরুর মত খড় খাবে কিন্তু ধূলো হবে সাপের খাবার। সেগুলো আমার পবিত্র পাহাড়ের কোন জায়গায় কোন ক্ষতি অথবা ধ্বংস করবে না, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
The wolf and the lamb, shall feed, in unity, And, the lion, as an ox, shall eat straw; But as for the serpent, dust, shall be his food: They shall not harm—Nor shall they destroy, In all my holy mountain, saith Yahweh.
