যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 56

1 ১ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “তোমরা ন্যায়বিচার রক্ষা কর এবং ধার্মিকতার কাজ কর, কারণ আমার পরিত্রান কাছাকাছি এবং আমার ধার্মিকতার প্রকাশ কাছাকাছি।

Thus said Jehovah: 'Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness, For near [is] My salvation to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'

2 ২ ধন্য সেই লোক, যে এরকম করে এবং ধন্য সেই মানুষ, এটা দৃঢ় করে রাখে, যে বিশ্রামবার পালন করে অপবিত্র করে না এবং সমস্ত খারাপ কাজ থেকে নিজের হাত রক্ষা করে।”

O the happiness of a man who doth this, And of a son of man who keepeth hold on it, Keeping the sabbath from polluting it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.

3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুর অনুগামী বিদেশী সন্তান এ কথা না বলুক, “যে সদাপ্রভু আমাকে তাঁর লোকদের মধ্যে থেকে নিশ্চয়ই বাদ দেবেন।” নপুংসক না বলুক, “দেখ, আমি একটা শুকনো গাছ,”

Nor speak let a son of the stranger, Who is joined unto Jehovah, saying: 'Jehovah doth certainly separate me from His people.' Nor say let the eunuch, 'Lo, I am a tree dried up,'

4 ৪ কারণ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “যে যে নপুংসক আমার বিশ্রামবার পালন করে, আমি যা পছন্দ করি তাই বেছে নেয় আর আমার নিয়ম শক্ত করে বেঁধে রাখে,

For thus said Jehovah of the eunuchs, Who do keep My sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:

5 ৫ তাদেরকে আমি আমার ঘরের মধ্যে ও আমার দেয়ালের ভিতরে ছেলে মেয়েদের থেকে ভালো জায়গা ও নাম দেব; আমি উচ্ছিন্নহীন এক চিরস্থায়ী নাম দেব।

I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, A name age-during I give to him That is not cut off.

6 ৬ এছাড়া যে বিদেশীরা সদাপ্রভুর সেবার জন্য আর আমাকে ভালবাসবার ও আমার দাস হবার জন্য আমার কাছে নিজেদেরকে দিয়ে দেয় এবং যারা বিশ্রামবার অপবিত্র না করে তা পালন করে এবং আমার নিয়ম শক্ত করে ধরে রাখে,

And sons of the stranger, who are joined to Jehovah, To serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, To be to Him for servants, Every keeper of the sabbath from polluting it, And those keeping hold on My covenant.

7 ৭ তাদেরকে আমি আমার পবিত্র পাহাড়ে নিয়ে আসব এবং আমার প্রার্থনার ঘরে তাদেরকে আনন্দিত করব। তাদের হোমবলি ও তাদের উত্সর্গ সব আমার যজ্ঞবেদীর ওপরে গ্রহণ করা হবে। কারণ আমার ঘরকে সমস্ত জাতির প্রার্থনার ঘর বলে ডাকা হবে।”

I have brought them unto My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices [Are] for a pleasing thing on Mine altar, For My house, 'A house of prayer,' Is called for all the peoples.

8 ৮ প্রভু সদাপ্রভু, যিনি ইস্রায়েলের পরিত্যক্ত লোককে জড়ো করেন, তিনি বলেন, “আমি আরো অনেক জড়ো করে তার সংগৃহীত লোকে যোগ করব।”

An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: 'Again I gather to him — to his gathered ones.'

9 ৯ মাঠের ও বনের সব পশু, গ্রাস করতে এস।

Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.

10 ১০ তার পাহারাদারেরা অন্ধ, তাদের কোনো জ্ঞান নেই। তারা সবাই যেন বোবা কুকুর, তারা ঘেউ ঘেউ করতে পারে না। তারা শুয়ে স্বপ্ন দেখে ও ঘুমাতে ভালবাসে।

Blind [are] his watchmen — all of them, They have not known, All of them [are] dumb dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 ১১ সেই কুকুরদের বড় খিদে আছে; তারা যথেষ্ট পায় না। তারা বিবেচনাবিহীন পালক; তারা সবাই নিজের নিজের পথের দিকে ফিরেছে আর নিজের লাভের চেষ্টা করছে।

And the dogs [are] strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they [are] shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them to their own way they did turn, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:

12 ১২ প্রত্যেকে বলে, “চল, আমি আঙ্গুর রস আনি; চল, আমরা সুরাপানে মত্ত হব। যেমন আজকের দিন তেমনি কাল হবে, তা অন্তত অনেক বলে মহা দিন হবে।”

'Come ye, I take wine, And we drink, quaff strong drink, And as this day hath been to-morrow, Great — exceeding abundant!'
