যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 52
1 ১ জাগো, জাগো, হে সিয়োন শক্তি পরিধান কর; হে পবিত্র শহর যিরূশালেম, তোমার জাঁকজমকের পোশাক পর। কারণ কখনো অচ্ছিন্নত্বক ও অশুচি লোক তোমার মধ্যে আর ঢুকবে না।
Awake, awake, put on thy majesty, O Zion! Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For no more shall come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 ২ গায়ের ধূলো ঝেড়ে ফেল, হে যিরুশালেম, ওঠো, বস। হে বন্দী সিয়োন-কন্যা, তোমার গলার শিকল সব খুলে ফেল।
Shake thyself from the dust, Arise and sit erect, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
For thus saith Jehovah: For naught were ye sold, And without money shall ye be ransomed.
4 ৪ কারণ প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, আমার লোকেরা আগে মিশরে বাস করার জন্য সেখানে নেমে গিয়েছিল; আবার অশূরীয়া অকারণে তাদের উপর অত্যাচার করল।
For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down to Egypt formerly to sojourn there, And the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
5 ৫ সদাপ্রভু বলেন, এখন এখানে আমার কি আছে? আমার লোকদেরকে কিছু ছাড়াই নেওয়া হয়েছে। সদাপ্রভু বলেন, তাদের শাসন কর্তারা উপহাস করছে এবং আমার নাম সারাদিন সব দিন নিন্দিত হচ্ছে।
And now, what have I here to do, saith the Lord, When my people is taken away for naught, And their tyrants exult, saith Jehovah, And all the day long my name is blasphemed.
Therefore shall my people know my name; Therefore in that day shall they know That I am he that said, Behold, here am I!
7 ৭ পর্বতদের ওপরে তার পা কেমন সুন্দর লাগছে, যে সুসংবাদ বয়ে আনে, শান্তি ঘোষণা করে, মঙ্গলের সুসমাচার প্রচার করে, পরিত্রান ঘোষণা করে, সিয়োনকে বলে, “তোমার ঈশ্বর রাজত্ব করেন!”
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, of him that proclaimeth peace! That bringeth good tidings, that proclaimeth salvation! That saith to Zion, “Thy God is king!”
8 ৮ শোন, তোমার পাহারাদারদের রব উঠাচ্ছে, তারা আনন্দে একসঙ্গে চেঁচাচ্ছে, কারণ সদাপ্রভু যখন সিয়োনে ফিরে আসবেন তখন তারা নিজেদের চোখেই তা দেখবে।
Hark! the voice of thy watchmen! They lift up the voice together; yea, they shout! For eye to eye shall they behold, When Jehovah returneth to Zion.
9 ৯ হে যিরূশালেমের ধ্বংসস্থানগুলো, তোমরা একসঙ্গে চিত্কার করে আনন্দ-গান কর, কারণ সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের সান্ত্বনা দিয়েছেন আর যিরূশালেমকে মুক্ত করেছেন।
Break forth into joy; shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem! For Jehovah hath pity on his people; he redeemeth Jerusalem.
10 ১০ সদাপ্রভু সমস্ত জাতির দৃষ্টিতে তাঁর পবিত্র হাত অনাবৃত করেছেন, সমস্ত পৃথিবী আমাদের ঈশ্বরের পরিত্রান দেখবে।
Jehovah maketh bare his holy arm In the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth Behold the salvation from our God.
11 ১১ চল, চল, সেই জায়গা থেকে বের হয়ে এস; কোনো অশুচি জিনিস ছুঁয়ো না; অর মধ্যে থেকে বের হও; তোমরা যারা সদাপ্রভুর পাত্র বয়ে নিয়ে যাও তোমরা বিশুদ্ধ হও।
Depart, depart ye; go ye out from thence; Touch no unclean thing! Go ye out from the midst of her; Be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah!
12 ১২ কারণ তোমরা তাড়াতাড়ি করে বাইরে যাবে না, পালিয়ে যাবে না, কারণ সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের আগে আগে যাবেন এবং ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর তোমাদের পিছন দিকের রক্ষক হবেন।
For not in haste shall ye go forth, Nor in flight shall ye pass along; For Jehovah shall march in your front, And the God of Israel bring up your rear.
13 ১৩ দেখ, আমার চাকর বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ করবে এবং সফল হবে; সে উচ্চ ও উন্নত হবেন; সে খুব মহিমান্বিত হবেন।
Behold, my servant shall prosper; He shall be lifted up, and set on high, and greatly exalted.
14 ১৪ মানুষের থেকে তাঁর আকৃতি, মানবসন্তানদের থেকে তার চেহারা বিকৃত বলে যেমন অনেকে তার বিষয়ে ভীত হত।
As many were amazed at the sight of him, —So disfigured and scarcely human was his visage, And so unlike that of a man was his form, —
15 ১৫ তাই তিনি অনেক জাতিকে চমকে দেবেন, তাঁর সামনে রাজারা মুখ বন্ধ করবে, কারণ যা তাদের বলা হয়নি তা তারা দেখতে পাবে এবং যা তারা শোনেনি তা বুঝতে পারবে।
So shall he cause many nations to exult on account of him; Kings shall shut their mouths before him. For what had never been told them shall they see, And what they never heard shall they perceive.
