যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 46
1 ১ বেল দেবতা নীচু হলেন, নবো দেবতা নত হলেন তাদের মুর্ত্তিগুলো ভার বহনকারী পশুরা বহন করবে। এই মুর্ত্তিগুলো ক্লান্ত পশুরা ভারী বোঝার মতো বহন করত।
Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages [were] heavy loaden; [they are] a burden to the weary [beast].
2 ২ একসঙ্গে তারা নিচু হতো, হাঁটুতে বসতো; তারা মুর্ত্তিগুলো বাঁচাতে পারল না, কিন্তু তারা নিজেরা বন্দী হয়ে যায়।
They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
3 ৩ আমার কথা শোন, যাকোবের বংশ এবং তোমরা সবাই, যাকোব কুলের বাকি বংশ। যাদের আমি বহন করে আসছি জন্মের আগে থেকে, বহন করছি গর্ভ থেকে।
Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne [by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4 ৪ এমনকি তোমাদের বুড়ো বয়স পর্যন্ত আমি সেই থাকব এমনকি তোমাদের চুল পাকবার বয়স পর্যন্ত তোমাদের ভার বহন করব। আমি তোমাদের তৈরী করেছি এবং আমি তোমাদের সমর্থন করবো; আমি তোমাদের নিরাপত্তায় বহন করব।
And [even] to [your] old age I [am] he; and [even] to hoar hairs will I carry [you: ] I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver [you].
To whom will ye liken me, and make [me] equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 ৬ লোকেরা থলি থেকে সোনা ঢালে এবং দাঁড়িপাল্লায় রূপো ওজন করে। তারা সেকরা ভাড়া করল এবং সে এটা দিয়ে দেবতা তৈরী করে; পরে তারা সেই দেবতাকে প্রণাম করে ও পূজা করে।
They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, [and] hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 ৭ তারা তাকে কাঁধে তুলে বয়ে নেয়; তার জায়গায় তারা তাকে স্থাপন করে এবং সে সেখানেই থাকে এবং সেখান থেকে নড়তে পারে না। তার কাছে কাঁদে কিন্তু সে উত্তর দিতে পারে না কিংবা কাউকে দুঃখ-কষ্ট থেকে বাঁচাতে পারে না।
They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, [one] shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring [it] again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 ৯ আগেকার বিষয় চিন্তা কর, সে দিন পার হয়ে গেছে, কারণ আমি ঈশ্বর এবং অন্য আর কেও নেই, আমি ঈশ্বর এবং আমার মত আর কেউ নেই।
Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else; [I am] God, and [there is] none like me,
10 ১০ আমি শুরু থেকে শেষের কথা বলি এবং যা এখনও হয়নি তা আগেই বলি। আমি বলি, “আমার পরিকল্পনা ঘটবে এবং আমার যা ইচ্ছা তা আমি করব”।
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 ১১ আমি পূর্ব দিক থেকে একটা শিকারের পাখিকে ডাকবো, আমি আমার পছন্দের একজন লোককে দূর দেশ থেকে ডাকবো; হ্যাঁ আমি বলেছি তা আমি সাধন করব; আমার উদ্দেশ্য আছে, আমি তাও করব।
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken [it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed [it], I will also do it.
Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that [are] far from righteousness:
13 ১৩ আমার ধার্মিকতার কাছে তোমাদের নিয়ে আসছি; এটা বেশী দূরে নয় এবং আমার পরিত্রান অপেক্ষা করে না এবং আমি সিয়োনকে পরিত্রান দেবো এবং আমার সৌন্দর্য ইস্রায়েলকে দেবো।
I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
