যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 28
1 ১ হায়! ইফ্রয়িমের মাতালদের অহঙ্কারের মুকুট; হায়! তার তেজোময় শোভার শুকিয়ে যাওয়া ফুল, যা আঙ্গুর রসে পরাভূত উপত্যকার মাথায় রয়েছে।
Woe to the crown of arrogance, to the inebriated of Ephraim, and to the falling flower, the glory of his exultation, to those who were at the top of the very fat valley, staggering from wine.
2 ২ দেখ, প্রভুর একজন শক্তিশালী ও বলবান লোক আছে; সে পাথরযুক্ত শিলাবৃষ্টির ধ্বংসকারী ঝড়ের মত খুব জোরে দৌড়ানো প্রবল শিলাবৃষ্টির মত জোর করে সবই ভূমিতে ছুঁড়ে দেবে।
Behold, the Lord is powerful and steadfast, like a storm of hail, like a crushing whirlwind, like the force of many waters, inundating, sent forth over a spacious land.
The arrogant crown of the inebriated of Ephraim will be trampled underfoot.
4 ৪ সমৃদ্ধ উপত্যকার মাথায় অবস্থিত তাদের তেজোময় শোভায় ম্লানপ্রায় যে ফুল তা ফল সংগ্রহের দিনের প্রথম ফলের মত হবে, যা লোকে দেখামাত্র লক্ষ্য করে, হাতে করা মাত্র গ্রাস করে।
And the falling flower, the glory of his exultation, who is at the summit of the fat valley, will be like a premature fruit before the ripeness of autumn, which, when the onlooker beholds it, as soon he takes it in his hand, he will devour it.
In that day, the Lord of hosts will be the crown of glory and the wreath of exultation for the remnant of his people.
6 ৬ বিচারের জন্যে বসে থাকা লোকের বিচারে আত্মা ও যারা শহরের দরজার যুদ্ধ ফেরায়, তাদের বিক্রমের মত হবেন
And he will be the spirit of judgment for those who sit in judgment, and the strength of those who return from war to the gates.
7 ৭ কিন্তু এরাও আঙ্গুর রসে ও সুরা পানে টলেছে; যাজক ও ভাববাদী সুরা পানে ভ্রান্ত হয়েছে; তারা আঙ্গুর রসে কবলিত ও সুরাপানে টলে যায়, তারা দর্শনে ভ্রান্ত ও বিচারে বিচলিত হয়।
Yet truly, these also have been ignorant due to wine, and they have gone astray due to inebriation. The priest and the prophet have been ignorant because of inebriation. They have been absorbed by wine. They have staggered in drunkenness. They have not known the One who sees. They have been ignorant of judgment.
For all the tables have been filled with vomit and filth, so much so that there was no place left.
9 ৯ সে কাউকে জ্ঞানের শিক্ষা দেবে? কাউকে বার্তা বুঝিয়ে দেবে? কি তাদেরকে, যারা দুধ ছাড়িয়েছে ও স্তন্যপানে থেমেছে,
To whom will he teach knowledge? And to whom will he grant an understanding of what is heard? To those who have been weaned from the milk, who have been pulled away from the breasts.
10 ১০ কারণ আদেশের ওপরে আদেশ, আদেশের ওপরে আদেশ; নিয়মের ওপরে নিয়ম, নিয়মের ওপরে নিয়ম; এখানে একটু, সেখানে একটু।
So then: command, and command again; command, and command again; expect, and expect again; a little here, and a little there.
For with the speech of lips and with a different language, he will speak to this people.
12 ১২ যাদেরকে তিনি বললেন, এই বিশ্রামের জায়গা, তোমরা ক্লান্তকে বিশ্রাম দাও, আর এই বিশ্রামের জায়গা, তবুও তারা শুনতে রাজি হল না।
He said to them: “This is my rest. Refresh the weary,” and, “This is my refreshment.” And yet they were unwilling to listen.
13 ১৩ সেই জন্য তাদের প্রতি সদাপ্রভুর কথা আদেশের ওপরে আদেশ, আদেশের ওপরে আদেশ; নিয়মের ওপরে নিয়ম, নিয়মের ওপরে নিয়ম; এখানে একটু, সেখানে একটু হবে; যেন তারা পিছনে গিয়ে পড়ে ভেঙে যায় ও ফাঁদে বদ্ধ হয়ে ধরা পড়ে।
And so, the word of the Lord to them will be: “Command, and command again; command, and command again; expect, and expect again; a little here, and a little there,” so that they may go forward and fall backward, and so that they may be broken and ensnared and captured.
Because of this, listen to the word of the Lord, you mocking men, who lord it over my people who are at Jerusalem.
15 ১৫ তোমরা বলেছ, “আমরা মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে নিয়ম করেছি, পাতালের সম্পর্ক করেছি; জলের ধ্বংসরূপ চাবুক যখন নেমে আসবে, তখন আমাদের কাছে আসবে না, কারণ আমরা মিথ্যেকে নিজেদের আশ্রয় করেছি ও মিথ্যা ছলনার আড়ালে লুকিয়েছি।” (Sheol h7585)
For you have said: “We struck a deal with death, and we formed a pact with Hell. When the inundating scourge passes through, it will not overwhelm us. For we have placed our hope in lies, and we are protected by what is false.” (Sheol h7585)
16 ১৬ এই জন্য সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, দেখ, আমি সিয়োনের ভিত্তিমূলের জন্যে এক পাথর স্থাপন করলাম; তা পরীক্ষা করা পাথর দামী কোণের পাথর, খুব শক্তভাবে বসানো যে লোক বিশ্বাস করবে, সে চঞ্চল হবে না।
For this reason, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will set a stone within the foundations of Zion, a tested stone, a cornerstone, a precious stone, which has been established in the foundation: whoever trusts in him need not hurry.
17 ১৭ আমি ন্যায়বিচারকে মানরজ্জু ও ধার্মিকতাকে ওলনের সুতো করব; শিলাবৃষ্টি ওই মিথ্যের আশ্রয় ফেলে দেবে এবং বন্যা ওই লুকাবার জায়গায় ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যাবে।
And I will establish judgment in weights, and justice in measures. And a hailstorm will overturn hope in what is false; and waters will inundate its protection.
18 ১৮ মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে করা তোমাদের নিয়ম লুপ্ত করা যাবে ও পাতালের সঙ্গে তোমাদের সম্পর্ক স্থির থাকবে না; জল ধ্বংসরূপ চাবুক নেমে আসবে, তখন তোমরা তার দ্বারা দলিত হবে (Sheol h7585)
And your deal with death will be abolished, and your pact with Hell will not stand. When the inundating scourge passes through, you will be trampled down by it. (Sheol h7585)
19 ১৯ তার দ্বারা যতবার নেমে আসবে তত বার তোমাদেরকে ধরবে, প্রকৃত পক্ষে, সে সকালে, দিনের রাতে, নেমে আসবে আর এই বার্তা বুঝলে শুধু ভয় সৃষ্টি হবে।
Whenever it passes through, it will take you away. For, at first light of morning, it will pass through, in the day and in the night, and vexation alone will make you understand what you hear.
For the bed has been narrowed, so much so that one alone would fall out, and the short blanket is not able to cover two.
21 ২১ বস্তুত সদাপ্রভু উঠবেন, যেমন পরাসীম পর্বতে উঠেছিলেন; তিনি রাগ করবেন, তেমন গিবিয়োনের উপত্যকাতে যেমন করেছিলেন; এই ভাবে তিনি নিজের কাজ, নিজের অসম্ভব কাজ সম্পন্ন করবেন; নিজের বিষয়, নিজের বিদেশীর বিষয় সম্পন্ন করবেন।
For the Lord will stand, just as at the mountain of divisions. He will be angry, just as in the valley which is in Gibeon, so that he may accomplish his work, his strange work, so that he may complete his work, his work which is foreign even to him.
22 ২২ অতএব তোমরা নিন্দায় যুক্ত হয়ো না, পাছে তোমাদের বন্ধন দৃঢ়তর হয়, কারণ প্রভুর মুখে, বাহিনীদের সদাপ্রভুরই আমি সমস্ত পৃথিবীর উচ্ছেদের, নির্ধারিত উচ্ছেদের কথা শুনেছি।
And now, do not be willing to mock, lest your chains be tightened. For I have heard, from the Lord, the God of hosts, about the consummation and the abridgement concerning the entire earth.
Pay close attention, and listen to my voice! Attend and hear my eloquence!
Would the plowman, after plowing all day so that he may sow, instead cut open and hoe his soil?
25 ২৫ ভূমিতল সমান করার পর সে কি মহুরী ছাড়ায় না ও জিরা বোনে না? এবং ভাগ করে গম নির্ধারিত জায়গায় যব ও ক্ষেতের সীমাতে ভুট্টা কি বোনে না?
Will he not, when he has made the surface level, sow coriander, and scatter cumin, and plant wheat in rows, and barley, and millet, and vetch in their places?
For he will be instructed in judgment; his God will teach him.
27 ২৭ বস্তুত, মহুরী ঠেলা গাড়ির মাধ্যমে মর্দন করা যায় না এবং জিরার ওপরে গাড়ির চাকা ঘরে না, কিন্তু মহুরী দন্ড দিয়ে ও জিরা লাঠি দিয়ে মাড়া যায়।
For coriander cannot be threshed with a saw, and a cartwheel cannot revolve over cumin. Instead, coriander is shaken out with a stick, and cumin with a staff.
28 ২৮ রুটির শস্য ভাঙ্গতে হয়; কারণ সে কখনো তা মর্দন করবে না; তার গাড়ির চাকা ও তার ঘোড়ারা ছড়ায় ঠিকই, কিন্তু সে তা ভাঙ্গে না।
But grain for bread must be crushed. Truly, the thresher cannot thresh it unceasingly, and the cartwheel can neither disrupt it, nor break it with its surface.
And this has gone forth from the Lord, the God of hosts, so that he may accomplish his miraculous plan and magnify justice.
