আদিপুস্তক 36

1 ১ এষৌর অর্থাৎ ইদোমের বংশ-বৃত্তান্ত এই।

Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 ২ এষৌ কনানীয়দের দুটি মেয়েকে, অর্থাৎ হিত্তীয় এলোনের মেয়ে আদাকে ও হিব্বীয় সিবিয়োনের নাতনি অনার মেয়ে অহলীবামাকে,

Esau took wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,

3 ৩ তাছাড়াও নবায়োতের বোনকে, অর্থাৎ ইশ্মায়েলের বাসমৎ নামে মেয়েকে বিয়ে করলেন।

and Basemath, the daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebaioth.

4 ৪ আর এষৌর জন্য আদা ইলীফসকে ও বাসমৎ রুয়েলকে প্রসব করে।

Then Adah bore Eliphaz. Basemath conceived Reuel.

5 ৫ এবং অহলীবামা যিয়ূশ, যালম ও কোরহকে প্রসব করে; এরা এষৌর ছেলে, কনান দেশে জন্মে।

Oholibamah conceived Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

6 ৬ পরে এষৌ নিজের স্ত্রী ছেলে মেয়েরা ও ঘরের অন্য সব প্রাণীকে এবং নিজের সমস্ত পশুধন ও কনান দেশে উপার্জিত সমস্ত সম্পত্তি নিয়ে যাকোব ভাইয়ের সামনে থেকে আর এক দেশে চলে গেলেন।

Then Esau took his wives, and sons, and daughters, and every soul of his house, and his substance, and cattle, and whatever he was able to obtain in the land of Canaan, and he went into another region, withdrawing from his brother Jacob.

7 ৭ কারণ তাঁদের প্রচুর সম্পত্তি থাকাতে একসঙ্গে বসবাস করা সম্ভব হল না এবং পশুধনের জন্য তাঁদের সেই প্রবাস-দেশে জায়গা কুলাল না।

For they were very wealthy and were not able to live together. Neither was the land of their sojourn able to sustain them, because of the multitude of their flocks.

8 ৮ এই ভাবে এষৌ সেয়ীর পর্বতে বাস করলেন; তিনিই ইদোম।

And Esau lived at mount Seir: he is Edom.

9 ৯ সেয়ীর পর্বতে অবস্থিত ইদোমীয়দের পূর্বপুরুষ এষৌর বংশ-বৃত্তান্ত এই।

So these are the generations of Esau, the father of Edom, at mount Seir,

10 ১০ এষৌর ছেলেদের নাম এই। এষৌর স্ত্রী আদার ছেলে ইলীফস ও এষৌর স্ত্রী বাসমতের ছেলে রুয়েল।

and these are the names of his sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah, the wife of Esau, likewise Reuel, the son of Basemath, his wife.

11 ১১ আর ইলীফসের ছেলে তৈমন ও ওমার, সফো, গয়িতম ও কনস।

And Eliphaz had sons: Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenez.

12 ১২ আর এষৌর ছেলে ইলীফসের তিম্না নামের এক উপপত্নী ছিল, সে ইলীফসের জন্য অমালেককে প্রসব করল। এরা এষৌর স্ত্রী আদার বংশধর।

Now Timna was the concubine of Eliphaz, the son of Esau. And she bore him Amalek. These are the sons of Adah, the wife of Esau.

13 ১৩ আর রুয়েলের ছেলে নহৎ, সেরহ, শম্ম ও মিসা; এরা এষৌর স্ত্রী বাসমতের ছেলে।

And the sons of Reuel were Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These are the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau.

14 ১৪ আর সিবিয়োনের নাতনি অনার মেয়ে যে অহলীবামা এষৌর স্ত্রী ছিল, তার ছেলে যিয়ূশ, যালম ও কোরহ।

Likewise, these were the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, the wife of Esau, whom she bore to him: Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

15 ১৫ এষৌর বংশধরদের দলপতিরা এই। এষৌর বড় ছেলে যে ইলীফস, তার ছেলে দলপতি তৈমন, দলপতি ওমার,

These were leaders of the sons of Esau, the sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn of Esau: leader Teman, leader Omar, leader Zepho, leader Kenez,

16 ১৬ দলপতি সফো, দলপতি কনস, দলপতি কোরহ, দলপতি গয়িতম ও দলপতি অমালেক; ইদোম দেশের ইলীফস বংশীয় এই দলপতিরা আদার বংশধর।

leader Korah, leader Gatam, leader Amalek. These are the sons of Eliphaz, in the land of Edom, and these the sons of Adah.

17 ১৭ এষৌর ছেলে রুয়েলের ছেলে দলপতি নয়, দলপতি সেরহ, দলপতি শম্ম ও দলপতি মিসা; ইদোম দেশের রুয়েল বংশীয় এই দলপতিরা এষৌর স্ত্রী বাসমতের ছেলে।

Likewise, these are the sons of Reuel, the son of Esau: leader Nahath, leader Zerah, leader Shammah, leader Mizzah. And these were the leaders of Reuel, in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, the wife of Esau.

18 ১৮ আর এষৌর স্ত্রী অহলীবামার ছেলে দলপতি যিয়ুশ, দলপতি যালম ও দলপতি কোরহ; অনার মেয়ে যে অহলীবামা এষৌর স্ত্রী ছিল, এই দলপতিরা তার বংশধর।

Now these are the sons of Oholibamah, the wife of Esau: leader Jeush, leader Jalam, leader Korah. These were the leaders of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah and the wife of Esau.

19 ১৯ এরা এষৌর অর্থাৎ ইদোমের সন্তান ও এরা তাদের দলপতি।

These are the sons of Esau, and these were their leaders: this is Edom.

20 ২০ সেই দেশনিবাসী হোরীয় সেয়ীরের ছেলে লোটন, শোবল, শিবিয়োন, অনা,

These are the sons of Seir, the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

21 ২১ দিশোন, এৎসর ও দীশন; সেয়ীরের এই ছেলেরা ইদোম দেশের হোরীয় বংশোদ্ভব দলপতি ছিলেন।

and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan. These were the leaders of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.

22 ২২ লোটনের ছেলে হোরি ও হেমম এবং তিম্না লোটনের বোন ছিল।

Now Lotan produced sons: Hori and Heman. But the sister of Lotan was Timna.

23 ২৩ আর শোবলের অলবন, মানহৎ, এবল, শফো ও ওনম।

And these are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, and Shepho, and Onam.

24 ২৪ আর সিবিয়োনের ছেলে অয়া ও অনা; এই অনা তার বাবা সিবিয়োনের গাধা চরাবার দিনের মরুপ্রান্তে গরম জলের উনুই খুঁজে পেয়েছিল।

And these are the sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is the Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, when he was pasturing the donkeys of his father Zibeon.

25 ২৫ অনার ছেলে দিশোন ও অনার মেয়ে অহলীবামা।

And he had a son Dishon, and a daughter Oholibamah.

26 ২৬ আর দিশোনের ছেলে হিমদন, ইশবন, যিত্রন ও করান।

And these are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Esheban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

27 ২৭ আর এৎসরের ছেলে বিলহন, সাবন ও আকন।

Likewise, these are the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

28 ২৮ আর দিশোনের ছেলে উষ ও অরান।

Then Dishan had sons: Uz and Aran.

29 ২৯ হোরীয় বংশোদ্ভব দলপতিরা এই; দলপতি লোটন, দলপতি শোবল, দলপতি সিবিয়োন, দলপতি অনা,

These were the leaders of the Horites: leader Lotan, leader Shobal, leader Zibeon, leader Anah,

30 ৩০ দলপতি দিশোন, দলপতি এৎসর ও দলপতি দীশন। এরা সেয়ীর দেশের হোরীয় বংশোদ্ভব দলপতি।

leader Dishon, leader Ezer, leader Disan. These were leaders of the Horites who ruled in the land of Seir.

31 ৩১ ইস্রায়েল–সন্তানদের ওপরে কোনো রাজা রাজত্ব করার আগে এরা ইদোম দেশের রাজা ছিলেন।

Now before the sons of Israel had a king, the kings who ruled in the land of Edom were these:

32 ৩২ বিয়োরের ছেলে বেলা ইদোম দেশে রাজত্ব করেন, তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম দিন হাবা।

Bela the son of Beor, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 ৩৩ আর বেলা মারা গেলে পর তাঁর পদে বস্রা-নিবাসী সেরহের ছেলে যোবব রাজত্ব করেন।

Then Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah from Bozrah, reigned in his place.

34 ৩৪ আর যোবব মারা গেলে পর তৈমন দেশীয় হূশম তাঁর পদে রাজত্ব করেন।

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

35 ৩৫ আর হূশম মারা যাবার পর বদদের ছেলে যে হদদ মোয়াব-ক্ষেত্রে মিদিয়নকে আঘাত করেছিলেন, তিনি তার পদে রাজত্ব করেন; তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম অবীৎ।

Likewise, this one having died, Hadad the son of Bedad reigned in his place. He struck down Midian in the region of Moab. And the name of his city was Avith.

36 ৩৬ আর হদদ মারা যাবার পর মস্রেকা-নিবাসী সম্ল তাঁর পদে রাজত্ব করেন।

And when Adad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.

37 ৩৭ আর সম্ল মারা গেলে পর [ফরাৎ] নদীর নিকটবর্তী রহোবোৎ-নিবাসী শৌল তাঁর পদে রাজত্ব করেন।

Likewise, this one being dead, Shaul of the river Rehoboth, reigned in his place.

38 ৩৮ আর শৌল মারা গেলে পর অকবোরের ছেলে বাল্‌হানন তাঁর পদে রাজত্ব করেন।

And when he also had passed away, Baal-hanan, the son of Achbor, succeeded to the kingdom.

39 ৩৯ আর অকবোরের পুত্র বাল্‌হানন মারা গেলে পর হদর তাঁর পদে রাজত্ব করেন; তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম পায়ু ও স্ত্রীর নাম মহেটবেল, সে মট্রেদের মেয়ে ও মেষাহবের নাতনী।

Likewise, this one being dead, Hadar reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Pau. And his wife was called Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.

40 ৪০ গোষ্ঠী, স্থান ও নাম ভেদে এষৌ থেকে সৃষ্টি যে সব দলপতি ছিলেন, তাঁদের নাম হল; দলপতি তিম্ন, দলপতি অলবা দলপতি যিথেৎ,

Therefore, these were the names of the leaders of Esau, by their families, and places, and in their vocabulary: leader Timna, leader Alvah, leader Jetheth,

41 ৪১ দলপতি অহলীবামা, দলপতি এলা, দলপতি পীনোন,

leader Oholibamah, leader Elah, leader Pinon,

42 ৪২ দলপতি কনস্‌, দলপতি তৈমন, দলপতি মিবসর,

leader Kanez, leader Teman, leader Mibzar,

43 ৪৩ দলপতি মগদীয়েল ও দলপতি ঈরম। এরা নিজের নিজের অধিকার দেশে, নিজের নিজের বসবাস জায়গা ভেদে ইদোমের দলপতি ছিলেন। ইদোমীয়দের আদিপুরুষ এষৌর বৃত্তান্ত সমাপ্ত।

leader Magdiel, leader Iram. These were the leaders of Edom living in the land of their rule: this is Esau, the father of Idumea.
