Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], saying,
“This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 ৩ সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল মণ্ডলীকে এই কথা বল, তোমরা এই মাসের দশম দিনের তোমাদের বাবার বংশ অনুসারে প্রত্যেক পরিবার এক এক বাড়ির জন্য এক একটি ভেড়ার বাচ্চা নেবে।
Speak to all the congregation of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;
4 ৪ আর ভেড়ার বাচ্চা খাওয়ার জন্য যদি কারও পরিজন কম হয়, তবে সে ও তার পাশের বাড়ির প্রতিবেশীর লোকসংখ্যা অনুসারে একটি ভেড়ার বাচ্চা নেবে। তোমরা এক এক জনের খাওয়ার ক্ষমতা অনুসারে ভেড়ার বাচ্চা নেবে।
and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls; according to what everyone can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.
5 ৫ তোমাদের সেই ভেড়ার বাচ্চাটি নির্দোষ ও এক বছরের পুরুষ বাচ্চা শাবক হবে; তোমরা ভেড়ার পালের কিংবা ছাগপালের মধ্যে থেকে তা নেবে;
Your lamb shall be without defect, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 ৬ আর এই মাসের চৌদ্দ দিন পর্যন্ত রাখবে; পরে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত সমাজ সন্ধ্যাবেলায় সেই ভেড়ার বাচ্চাটি হত্যা করবে।
and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel [God prevails] shall kill it at evening.
7 ৭ আর তারা তার কিছুটা রক্ত নেবে এবং যে যে বাড়ির মধ্যে ভেড়ার বাচ্চা খাবে, সেই বাড়ির দরজার চৌকাঠে ও মাথার ওপর তা লাগিয়ে দেবে।
They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.
They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, and matzah ·unleavened bread·. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.
Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.
You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
11 ১১ আর তোমরা এই ভাবে তা খাবে; কোমর বাঁধবে, পায়ে জুতো পড়বে, হাতে লাঠি নেবে ও তাড়াতাড়ি খেয়ে নেবে; এটা সদাপ্রভুর নিস্তারপর্ব।
This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Adonai’s Pesac ·Passover·.
12 ১২ কারণ সেই রাতে আমি মিশর দেশের মধ্য দিয়ে যাব এবং মিশর দেশের মানুষের ও পশুর যাবতীয় প্রথমজাতকে আঘাত করব এবং মিশরের সমস্ত দেবতাদের উপরে শাস্তি নিয়ে আসব; আমিই সদাপ্রভু।
For I will go through the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], both man and animal. Against all the deities of Egypt [Abode of slavery] I will execute judgments: I am Adonai.
13 ১৩ সুতরাং তোমরা যে যে বাড়িতে থাক, তোমাদের পক্ষে ঐ রক্ত চিহ্ন হিসাবে সেই সেই বাড়ির উপরে থাকবে; তাতে আমি যখন মিশর দেশকে আঘাত করব, তখন সেই রক্ত দেখলে তোমাদেরকে ছেড়ে এগিয়ে যাব, মহামারীর আঘাত তোমাদের উপরে পড়বে না।
The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be on you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
14 ১৪ আর এই দিন তোমাদের স্মরণীয় হবে এবং তোমরা এই দিন কে সদাপ্রভুর উৎসব বলে পালন করবে; বংশপরম্পরার চিরকালীন নিয়ম অনুসারে এই উৎসব পালন করবে।
This day shall be to you for a memorial, and you shall keep it a feast to Adonai: throughout all your generations you shall keep it a feast by this regulation forever.
15 ১৫ তোমরা সাত দিন খামির বিহীন রুটি খাবে; প্রথম দিনের ই নিজের নিজের বাড়ি থেকে খামির দূর করবে, কারণ যে কেউ প্রথম দিন থেকে সপ্তম দিন পর্যন্ত খামিরযুক্ত খাবার খাবে, সেই প্রাণী ইস্রায়েল থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হবে।
“‘Seven days you shall eat matzah ·unleavened bread·; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel [God prevails].
16 ১৬ আর প্রথম দিনের তোমাদের পবিত্র সভা হবে এবং সপ্তম দিনের ও তোমাদের পবিত্র সভা হবে; সেই দুই দিন প্রত্যেক প্রাণীর খাদ্য তৈরী ছাড়া অন্য কোন কাজ করবে না, শুধুমাত্র সেই কাজ করতে পারবে।
In the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no kind of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.
17 ১৭ এই ভাবে তোমরা খামির বিহীন রুটির পর্ব পালন করবে, কারণ এই দিনের আমি তোমাদের বাহিনীদেরকে মিশর দেশ থেকে বের করে আনলাম; তাই তোমরা বংশপরম্পরার চিরস্থায়ী বিধি অনুসারে এই দিন পালন করবে।
You shall observe the festival of Matzah ·Unleavened bread·; for in this same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]: therefore you shall observe this day throughout all your generations by this regulation forever.
18 ১৮ তোমরা প্রথম মাসের চৌদ্দতম দিনের র সন্ধ্যাবেলা থেকে একুশতম দিনের র সন্ধ্যাবেলা পর্যন্ত খামির বিহীন রুটি খেও।
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat matzah ·unleavened bread·, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.
19 ১৯ সাত দিন তোমাদের বাড়িতে যেন খামির না থাকে; কারণ কি প্রবাসী কি দেশের, যে কোন প্রাণী খামির মেশানো দ্রব্য খাবে, সে ইস্রায়েল মণ্ডলী থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হবে।
There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel [God prevails], whether he be a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat matzah ·unleavened bread·.’”
21 ২১ তখন মোশি ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত প্রাচীনদেরকে ডেকে বললেন, তোমরা নিজেদের গোষ্ঠী অনুসারে এক একটি ভেড়ার বাচ্চা বের করে নাও, নিস্তারপর্ব্বের বলি হত্যা কর।
Then Moses [Drawn out] called for all the elders of Israel [God prevails], and said to them, “Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Pesac ·Passover· lamb.
22 ২২ আর এক গুচ্ছ এসোব নিয়ে গামলায় থাকা রক্তে ডুবিয়ে দরজার মাথায় ও দুই চৌকাঠে গামলায় থাকা রক্তের কিছুটা লাগিয়ে দেবে এবং সকাল পর্যন্ত তোমরা কেউই বাড়ির দরজার বাইরে যাবে না।
You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
23 ২৩ কারণ সদাপ্রভু মিশরীয়দেরকে আঘাত করার জন্য তোমাদের কাছ দিয়ে যাবেন, তাতে দরজার মাথায় ও দুই চৌকাঠে সেই রক্ত দেখলে সদাপ্রভু সেই দরজা ছেড়ে আগে যাবেন, তোমাদের বাড়িতে বিনাশকারীকে প্রবেশ করে আঘাত করতে দেবেন না।
For Adonai will pass through to strike the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery]; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Adonai will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.
You shall observe this thing for an statute to you and to your sons forever.
25 ২৫ আর সদাপ্রভু তাঁর প্রতিজ্ঞা অনুসারে তোমাদেরকে যে দেশ দেবেন, সেই দেশে যখন প্রবেশ করবে, তখনও এই আরাধনার আয়োজন করবে।
It shall happen when you have come to the land which Adonai will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
It will happen, when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’
27 ২৭ তোমরা বলবে, এটা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিস্তারপর্ব্বের যজ্ঞ, কারণ মিশরীয়দেরকে আঘাত করার দিনের তিনি মিশরে ইস্রায়েল সন্তানদের সমস্ত বাড়ি ছেড়ে এগিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন, আমাদের বাড়ি রক্ষা করেছিলেন। তখন লোকেরা মাথা নিচু করে আরাধনা করল।
that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Adonai’s Pesac ·Passover·, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel [God prevails] in Egypt [Abode of slavery], when he struck the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery], and spared our houses.’” The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
The children of Israel [God prevails] went and did so; as Adonai had enjoined Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], so they did.
29 ২৯ পরে মাঝরাতে এই ঘটনা ঘটল, সদাপ্রভু সিংহাসনে বসা ফরৌণের প্রথমজাত সন্তান থেকে কারাগারে থাকা বন্দির প্রথমজাত সন্তান পর্যন্ত মিশর দেশের সমস্ত প্রথমজাত সন্তানকে ও পশুদের প্রথমজাত শাবকদেরকে আঘাত করলেন।
At midnight, Adonai struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of livestock.
30 ৩০ তাতে ফরৌণ ও তাঁর দাসেরা এবং সমস্ত মিশরীয় লোক রাতে উঠল এবং মিশরে মহাকোলাহল হল; কারণ যে ঘরে কেউ মরে নি, এমন ঘরই ছিল না।
Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery]; and there was a great cry in Egypt [Abode of slavery], for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31 ৩১ তখন রাতের বেলায় ফরৌণ মোশি ও হারোণকে ডেকে বললেন, “তোমরা ওঠ, ইস্রায়েল সন্তানদের নিয়ে আমার প্রজাদের মধ্যে থেকে বের হও, তোমরা যাও, তোমাদের কথা অনুসারে গিয়ে সদাপ্রভুর সেবা কর।
He called for Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] by night, and said, “Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel [God prevails]; and go, abad ·serve· Adonai, as you have said!
Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also!”
33 ৩৩ তখন লোকদেরকে তাড়াতাড়ি দেশ থেকে বিদায় করার জন্য মিশরীয়েরা ব্যাকুল হয়ে পড়ল; কারণ তারা বলল, “আমরা সকলে মারা পড়লাম।”
The Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said, “We are all dead men.”
34 ৩৪ তাতে ময়দার তালে খামির মেশাবার আগে লোকেরা তা নিয়ে পেষাই করার পাত্র নিজেদের বস্ত্রে বেঁধে কাঁধে নিল।
The people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.
35 ৩৫ আর ইস্রায়েল সন্তানেরা মোশির বাক্য অনুসারে কাজ করল; ফলে তারা মিশরীয়দের কাছে রূপা, সোনার গয়না ও পোশাক চাইল;
The children of Israel [God prevails] did according to the word of Moses [Drawn out]; and they asked of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing.
36 ৩৬ আর সদাপ্রভু মিশরীয়দের চোখে তাদেরকে অনুগ্রহপাত্র করলেন, তাই তারা যা চাইল, মিশরীয়েরা তাদেরকে তাই দিল। এই ভাবে তারা মিশরীয়দের ধনসম্পদ লুট করল।
Adonai gave the people chen ·grace· in the sight of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery], so that they let them have what they asked. They plundered the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery].
37 ৩৭ তখন ইস্রায়েল সন্তানেরা বালক ছাড়া কমবেশি পায়ে হাঁটা ছয় লক্ষ পুরুষ রামিষেষ থেকে সুক্কোতে যাত্রা করল।
The children of Israel [God prevails] traveled from Rameses to Sukkot, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, besides children.
A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
39 ৩৯ পরে তারা মিশর থেকে আনা ময়দার তাল দিয়ে খামির বিহীন রুটি তৈরী করল, তাতে খামির মেশান হয়নি, কারণ তারা মিশর থেকে বেরিয়ে এসেছিল, সুতরাং দেরী করতে না চাওয়াতে নিজেদের জন্য খাদ্য দ্রব্য তৈরী করে নি।
They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]; for it was not leavened, because they were divorced out of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and couldn’t wait, and they had not prepared any food for themselves.
Now the time that the children of Israel [God prevails] lived in Egypt [Abode of slavery] was four hundred thirty years.
At the end of four hundred thirty years, to the day, all of Adonai’s armies went out from the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
42 ৪২ মিশর দেশ থেকে তাদেরকে বের করে আনার জন্য এটি ছিল সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে জেগে থাকার রাত, সেজন্য সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল সন্তানদের বংশ ধরে এই রাত ছিল সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে পালন করা অত্যন্ত পালনীয়।
It is a night to be much observed to Adonai for bringing them out from the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. This is that night of Adonai, to be much observed of all the children of Israel [God prevails] throughout their generations.
43 ৪৩ আর সদাপ্রভু মোশি ও হারোণকে বললেন, “নিস্তারপর্ব্বের বলির নিয়ম এই; অন্য জাতীয় কোনো লোক তা খাবে না।
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], “This is the regulation of the Pesac ·Passover· lamb. No foreigner shall eat of it,
but every man’s servant who is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat of it.
A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.
46 ৪৬ তোমরা এক বাড়ির মধ্যে তা খাবে; সেই মাংসের কিছুই বাড়ির বাইরে নিয়ে যেও না এবং তার একটি হাড়ও ভেঙ্গ না।
It must be eaten In one house. You shall not carry any of the meat outside of the house. Do not break any of its bones.
All the congregation of Israel [God prevails] shall keep it.
48 ৪৮ আর তোমার সঙ্গে বসবাসকারী কোনো বিদেশী লোক যদি সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিস্তারপর্ব্ব পালন করতে চায়, তবে সে নিজে পুরুষ পরিবারের সঙ্গে ছিন্নত্বক হয়ে এটা পালন করতে আসুক, সে দেশের মধ্যে জন্মানো লোকের মত হবে; কিন্তু অচ্ছিন্নত্বক কোন লোক তা খাবে না।
When a stranger shall live as a foreigner with you, and will keep the Pesac ·Passover· to Adonai, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one who is born in the land: but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
One Torah ·Teaching· shall be to him who is born at home, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you.”
50 ৫০ সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল সন্তান সেই রকম করল, সদাপ্রভু মোশি ও হারোণকে যে আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন, সেই অনুসারেই করল।
All the children of Israel [God prevails] did so. As Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], so they did.
That same day, Adonai brought the children of Israel [God prevails] out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] by their armies.
