যাত্রাপুস্তক 11

1 ১ আর সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন, “আমি ফরৌণের ও মিশরের উপরে আর এক মহামারী আনব, তারপরে সে তোমাদেরকে এই স্থান থেকে ছেড়ে দেবে এবং ছেড়ে দেবার দিনের তোমাদেরকে নিশ্চয়ই এখান থেকে একেবারে তাড়িয়ে দেবে।

And the LORD said to Moses, Yet will I bring one plague [more] upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let [you] go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2 ২ তুমি লোকেদেরকে নির্দেশ দাও, আর প্রত্যেক পুরুষ তার প্রতিবেশীর থেকে ও প্রত্যেক স্ত্রী তার প্রতিবাসিনী থেকে রূপার ও সোনার গয়না চেয়ে নিক।”

Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.

3 ৩ আর সদাপ্রভু মিশরীয়দের চোখে লোকদেরকে অনুগ্রহের পাত্র করলেন। আবার মিশর দেশে মোশি ফরৌণের দাসেদের ও প্রজাদের চোখে খুব মহান ব্যক্তি হয়ে উঠলেন।

And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses [was] very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

4 ৪ মোশি আরও বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘আমি মাঝরাতে মিশরের মধ্যে দিয়ে যাব।

And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5 ৫ তাতে সিংহাসনে বসা ফরৌণের প্রথমজাত থেকে যাঁতা পেষণকারিণী দাসীর প্রথমজাত পর্যন্ত মিশর দেশের সকল প্রথমজাত মরবে।

And all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even to the first-born of the maid-servant that [is] behind the mill; and all the first-born of beasts.

6 ৬ আর যেরকম কখনও হয়নি ও হবে না, সমস্ত মিশর দেশে এমন মহাকোলাহল হবে।

And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there hath been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7 ৭ কিন্তু সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল সন্তানের মধ্যে মানুষের কি পশুর বিরুদ্ধে একটা কুকুরও চিত্কার করবে না, যেন আপনারা জানতে পারেন যে, সদাপ্রভু মিশরীয় ও ইস্রায়েলীয়ের মধ্যে প্রভেদ করেন।’

But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 ৮ আর তোমার এই দাসেরা সবাই আমার কাছে নেমে আসবে ও প্রণাম করে আমাকে বলবে, ‘তুমি ও তোমার অনুগামী সব লোকেরা যাও,’ তারপর আমি বেরিয়ে আসব।” তখন তিনি খুব রেগে গিয়ে ফরৌণের কাছ থেকে বেরিয়ে গেলেন।

And all these thy servants shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, Depart thou, and all the people that follow thee; and after that I will depart: and he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 ৯ আর সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বলেছিলেন, “ফরৌণ তোমাদের কথায় মনোযোগ দেবে না, আমি অনেক অদ্ভুত জিনিস মিশর দেশে করব।”

And the LORD said to Moses, Pharaoh will not hearken to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 ১০ মোশি ও হারোণ ফরৌণের সামনে এই সব অদ্ভুত কাজ করেছিলেন; আর সদাপ্রভু ফরৌণের অন্তর কঠিন করলেন, আর তিনি তাঁর দেশ থেকে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের ছাড়লেন না।

And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel depart from his land.
