দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 26

1 ১ তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু অধিকারের জন্যে যে দেশ তোমাকে দিচ্ছেন, তুমি যখন তা অধিকার করবে ও সেখানে বাস করবে;

And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and dost possess it, and dwell therein;

2 ২ সেই দিনের তুমি ভূমির যাবতীয় ফলের, তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যে দেশ তোমাকে দিচ্ছেন, সেই দেশে উৎপন্ন ফলের প্রথমাংশ থেকে কিছু কিছু নিয়ে ঝুড়িতে করে, তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু নিজের নামের থাকার জন্যে যে জায়গা মনোনীত করবেন, সেই জায়গায় যাবে।

that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which thou shalt bring in from thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee; and thou shalt put it in a basket and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there.

3 ৩ আর সেই দিনের যাজকের কাছে গিয়ে তাকে বলবে, “সদাপ্রভু আমাদেরকে যে দেশ দিতে আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে শপথ করেছিলেন, সেই দেশে আমি এসেছি; এটা আজ তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে নিবেদন করছি।”

And thou shalt come unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him: 'I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the land which the LORD swore unto our fathers to give us.'

4 ৪ আর যাজক তোমার হাত থেকে সেই ঝুড়ি নিয়ে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর যজ্ঞবেদির সামনে রাখবে।

And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

5 ৫ আর তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে এই কথা বলবে, “এক জন ভবঘুরে অরামীয় আমার পূর্বপুরুষ ছিলেন; তিনি অল্প সংখ্যায় মিশরে নেমে গিয়ে বাস করলেন এবং সে জায়গায় মহান, বলশালী ও জনপূর্ণ জাতি হয়ে উঠলেন।

And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God: 'A wandering Aramean was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

6 ৬ পরে মিশরীয়েরা আমাদের প্রতি খারাপ আচরণ করল, আমাদেরকে নিপীড়িত করল। তারা আমাদেরকে দাসত্ব করালো;

And the Egyptians dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage.

7 ৭ তাতে আমরা নিজের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কাঁদলাম; আর সদাপ্রভু আমাদের রব শুনে আমাদের কষ্ট, পরিশ্রম ও অত্যাচারের প্রতি দেখলেন।

And we cried unto the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression.

8 ৮ সদাপ্রভু শক্তিশালী হাত, ক্ষমতা প্রদর্শন ও মহাভয়ঙ্করতা এবং নানা চিহ্ন ও অলৌকিক কাজের মাধ্যমে মিশর থেকে আমাদেরকে বের করে আনলেন।

And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders.

9 ৯ এবং তিনি আমাদেরকে এই জায়গায় এনেছেন এবং এই দেশ, দুধ ও মধু প্রবাহী দেশ দিয়েছেন।

And He hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10 ১০ এখন দেখ, তুমি আমাকে যে ভূমি দিয়েছ, তার ফলের প্রথমাংশ আমি এনেছি।” এই বলে তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তা রেখে নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে আরাধনা করবে।

And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the land, which Thou, O LORD, hast given me.' And thou shalt set it down before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God.

11 ১১ এবং তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে ও তোমার পরিবারকে যেসব মঙ্গল দান করেছেন, সেই সব কিছুতে তুমি ও লেবীয় ও তোমার মাঝখানে অবস্থিত বিদেশী, তোমরা সবাই আনন্দ করবে।

And thou shalt rejoice in all the good which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is in the midst of thee.

12 ১২ তৃতীয় বছরে, অর্থাৎ দশমাংশের বছরে, তোমার উৎপন্ন জিনিসের সব দশমাংশ আলাদা করা শেষ করলে পর তুমি লেবীয়কে, বিদেশীকে, পিতৃহীনকে ও বিধবাকে তা দেবে, তাতে তারা তোমার শহরের দরজার মধ্যে খেয়ে তৃপ্তি পাবে।

When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be satisfied,

13 ১৩ তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সামনে এই কথা বলবে, “তোমার আদেশ দেওয়া সমস্ত কথা অনুসারে আমি নিজের বাড়ি থেকে আলাদা করে রাখা জিনিস বের করে লেবীয়কে, বিদেশীকে, পিতৃহীনকে ও বিধবাকে দিয়েছি; তোমার কোনো আদেশ লঙ্ঘন করিনি ও ভুলে যাইনি;

then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God: 'I have put away the hallowed things out of my house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all Thy commandment which Thou hast commanded me; I have not transgressed any of Thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

14 ১৪ আমার শোকের দিন আমি তার কিছুই খাইনি, অশুচি অবস্থায় তার কিছুই বের করিনি এবং মৃত লোকের উদ্দেশ্যে তার কিছুই দিইনি, আমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর রবে কান দিয়েছি; তোমার আদেশ অনুসারেই সব কাজ করেছি।

I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I put away thereof, being unclean, nor given thereof for the dead; I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, I have done according to all that Thou hast commanded me.

15 ১৫ তুমি নিজের পবিত্র নিবাস থেকে, স্বর্গ থেকে, দেখ, তোমার প্রজা ইস্রায়েলকে আশীর্বাদ কর এবং আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে করা তোমার শপথ অনুসারে যে ভূমি আমাদেরকে দিয়েছ, সেই দুধ ও মধু প্রবাহী দেশকেও আশীর্বাদ কর।”

Look forth from Thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Thy people Israel, and the land which Thou hast given us, as Thou didst swear unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.'

16 ১৬ এই সব বিধি ও শাসন পালন করতে আজ তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে আদেশ দিচ্ছেন তুমি যত্নসহকারে তোমার পুরো হৃদয় ও তোমার সমস্ত প্রাণের সঙ্গে এ সমস্ত রক্ষা ও পালন করবে।

This day the LORD thy God commandeth thee to do these statutes and ordinances; thou shalt therefore observe and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.

17 ১৭ আজ তুমি এই স্বীকার করেছ যে, সদাপ্রভুই তোমার ঈশ্বর হবেন এবং তুমি তার পথে চলবে, তাঁর বিধি, তাঁর আদেশ ও তাঁর শাসন সব পালন করবে এবং তাঁর রবে কান দেবে।

Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and that thou wouldest walk in His ways, and keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His ordinances, and hearken unto His voice.

18 ১৮ আর আজ সদাপ্রভুও এই স্বীকার করেছেন যে, তাঁর প্রতিজ্ঞা অনুসারে তুমি তাঁর অধিকারের লোক হবে ও তাঁর সব আদেশ পালন করবে;

And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be His own treasure, as He hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all His commandments;

19 ১৯ আর তিনি নিজের তৈরী সমস্ত জাতির থেকে তোমাকে শ্রেষ্ঠ করে প্রশংসা, কীর্তি ও সম্মানস্বরূপ করবেন এবং তিনি যেমন বলেছেন, সেই অনুসারে তুমি নিজের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে পবিত্র লোক হবে।

and to make thee high above all nations that He hath made, in praise, and in name, and in glory; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the LORD thy God, as He hath spoken.
