দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 22
1 ১ তোমার কোনো ভাইয়ের বলদ কিংবা মেষকে বিপথগামী হতে দেখলে তুমি তাদের থেকে গা ঢাকা দিও না; অবশ্য নিজের ভাইয়ের কাছে তাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে আনবে।
You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.
2 ২ যদি তোমার সেই ভাই তোমার কাছে অবস্থিত কিংবা পরিচিত না হয়, তবে তুমি সেই পশুকে নিজের বাড়িতে এনে যতক্ষণ সেই ভাই তার খোঁজ না করে, ততক্ষণ নিজের কাছে রাখবে, পরে তা ফিরিয়ে দেবে।
If your brother isn't near to you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother seek after it, and you shall restore it to him.
3 ৩ তুমি তার গাধার বিষয়েও সেরকম করবে এবং তার কাপড়ের বিষয়েও সেরকম করবে; তোমার ভাইয়ের হারিয়ে যাওয়া যে কোনো জিনিস তুমি পাও, সেই সবের বিষয়ে সেরকম করবে; তোমার গা ঢাকা দেওয়া উচিত না।
So you shall do with his donkey; and so you shall do with his garment; and so you shall do with every lost thing of your brother's, which he has lost, and you have found: you may not hide yourself.
4 ৪ তোমার ভাই গাধা কিংবা বলদকে পথে পড়ে থাকতে দেখলে তাদের থেকে গা ঢাকা দিও না; অবশ্য তুমি তাদেরকে তুলতে তার সাহায্য করবে।
You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely help him to lift them up again.
5 ৫ স্ত্রীলোক পুরুষের পরা কিংবা পুরুষ স্ত্রীলোকের পোশাক পরবে না; কারণ যে কেউ তা করে, সে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর ঘৃণার পাত্র।
A woman shall not wear men's clothing, neither shall a man put on women's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Jehovah your God.
6 ৬ যদি রাস্তার পাশে অবস্থিত কোনো গাছে কিংবা মাটির ওপরে তোমার সামনে কোনো পাখির বাসাতে বাচ্চা কিংবা ডিম থাকে এবং সেই বাচ্চার কিংবা ডিমের ওপরে মা পাখি বসে থাকে, তবে তুমি বাচ্চাদের সঙ্গে মা পাখিকে ধর না।
If a bird's nest chance to be before you in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young:
7 ৭ তুমি নিজের জন্য বাচ্চাগুলিকে নিতে পার, কিন্তু নিশ্চয় মা পাখিকে ছেড়ে দেবে; যেন তোমার ভালো হয় ও দীর্ঘ দিন আয়ু হয়।
you shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take to yourself; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
8 ৮ নতুন বাড়ি তৈরী করলে তার ছাদে পাঁচিল তৈরী করবে, পাছে তার ওপর থেকে কোনো মানুষ পড়ে গেলে তুমি নিজের বাড়িতে রক্তপাতের অপরাধ আনো।
When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you do not bring blood on your house, if any man fall from there.
9 ৯ তোমার আঙ্গুর ক্ষেতে মিশ্রিত বীজ বপন করবে না; পাছে সব ফল তোমার বোনা বীজ ও আঙ্গুর ক্ষেত অপবিত্র হবে।
You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.
You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.
You shall not wear a mixed stuff, wool and linen together.
You shall make yourselves fringes on the four borders of your cloak, with which you cover yourself.
If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and hates her,
14 ১৪ এবং তার নামে অপবাদ করে ও তার অপমান করে বলে, “আমি এই স্ত্রীকে বিয়ে করেছি বটে, কিন্তু যখন আমি তার কাছে গেলাম, আমি তার মধ্যে কুমারীত্বের চিহ্ন পেলাম না;”
and accuses her of shameful things, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, "I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I did not find in her the tokens of virginity";
15 ১৫ তবে সেই মেয়ের বাবা মা তার কুমারীত্বের চিহ্ন নিয়ে শহরের প্রাচীনদের কাছে শহরের দরজায় উপস্থিত করবে।
then shall the father of the young woman, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the young woman's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate;
16 ১৬ আর মেয়ের বাবা প্রাচীনদেরকে বলবে, “আমি এই লোকের সঙ্গে নিজের মেয়ের বিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু এ তাকে ঘৃণা করে;
and the young woman's father shall tell the elders, "I gave my daughter to this man to wife, and he hates her;
17 ১৭ আর দেখ, এ অপবাদ দিয়ে বলে, আমি তোমার মেয়ের কুমারীত্বের চিহ্ন পাইনি; কিন্তু আমার মেয়ের কুমারীত্বের চিহ্ন এই দেখুন। আর তারা শহরের প্রাচীনদের সামনে সেই পোশাক বাড়িয়ে দেবে।”
and look, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, 'I did not find in your daughter the tokens of virginity;' and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity." They shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
The elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;
19 ১৯ আর তার একশো [শেকল] রূপা শাস্তি দিয়ে মেয়ের বাবাকে দেবে, কারণ সেই লোক ইস্রায়েলীয় এক কুমারীর উপরে বদনাম এনেছে; আর সে তার স্ত্রী হইবে, ঐ লোক সারাজীবন তাকে ত্যাগ করতে পারবে না।
and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought up an evil name on a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young woman;
21 ২১ তবে তারা সেই মেয়েকে বের করে তার বাবার বাড়ির দরজার কাছে আনবে এবং সেই মেয়ের শহরের লোকেরা পাথরের আঘাতে তাকে হত্যা করবে; কারণ বাবার বাড়িতে ব্যভিচার করাতে সে ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে অসম্মানীয় কাজ করেছে; এভাবে তুমি নিজের মধ্যে থেকে খারাপ ব্যবহার বাদ দেবে।
then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father's house: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
22 ২২ কোনো লোক যদি একজন পরস্ত্রীর সঙ্গে শোয়ার দিনের ধরা পড়ে, তবে পরস্ত্রীর সঙ্গে শুয়ে থাকা সেই পুরুষ ও সেই স্ত্রী উভয়ে মারা যাবে; এভাবে তুমি ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে থেকে খারাপ ব্যবহার বাদ দেবে।
If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman: so you shall put away the evil from Israel.
If there is a young woman who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 ২৪ তবে তোমরা সেই দুই জনকে বের করে শহরের দরজার কাছে এনে পাথরের আঘাতে হত্যা করবে; সেই মেয়েকে হত্যা করবে, কারণ শহরের মধ্যে থাকলেও সে চিৎকার করে নি এবং সেই লোককে হত্যা করবে, কারণ সে নিজের প্রতিবেশীর স্ত্রীকে অসম্মান করেছে; এভাবে তুমি নিজের মধ্যে থেকে খারাপ ব্যবহার বাদ দেবে।
then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the woman, because she did not cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor's wife: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
25 ২৫ কিন্তু যদি কোনো লোক বাগদত্তা মেয়েকে মাঠে পেয়ে জোর করে তার সঙ্গে শোয়, তবে তার সঙ্গে যে শোয় সেই লোক মারা যাবে;
But if the man find the woman who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her; then the man only who lay with her shall die:
26 ২৬ কিন্তু মেয়ের প্রতি তুমি কিছুই করবে না; সে মেয়েতে প্রাণদণ্ডের যোগ্য পাপ নেই; কারণ যেমন কোনো মানুষ নিজের প্রতিবেশীর বিরুদ্ধে উঠে তাকে প্রাণে হত্যা করে, এটাও সেরকম।
but to the woman you shall do nothing; there is in the woman no sin worthy of death: for as when a man rises against his neighbor, and kills him, even so is this matter;
for he found her in the field, the pledged to be married woman cried, and there was none to save her.
If a man find a woman who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 ২৯ তবে তার সঙ্গে শুয়ে থাকা সেই লোক মেয়ের বাবাকে পঞ্চাশ [শেকল] রূপা দেবে এবং তাকে অসম্মানিত করেছে বলে সে তার স্ত্রী হবে; সেই লোক তাকে সারা জীবন ত্যাগ করতে পারবে না।
then the man who lay with her shall give to the woman's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he may not put her away all his days.
A man shall not take his father's wife, and shall not uncover his father's skirt.
