আমোষ ভাববাদীর বই 3
1 ১ হে ইস্রায়েলীয়রা, শোন এই বাক্য যা সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে বলেছেন, সমস্ত পরিবারের বিরুদ্ধে যাদের আমি মিশর দেশ থেকে বার করে এনেছিলাম,
Hear these words, which Jehovah speaketh against you, ye sons of Israel; Against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt!
2 ২ আমি সমস্ত পৃথিবীর পরিবার গুলোর মধ্যে শুধু তোমাদেরই বেছেছিলাম। সেইজন্য আমি তোমাদের সমস্ত পাপের জন্য তোমাদের শাস্তি দেবো।
You only have I known of all the families of the earth; Therefore will I punish you for all your iniquities.
Can two walk together, Unless they agree together?
4 ৪ শিকার না পেলে বনের মধ্যে সিংহ কি গর্জন করে? একটি যুবসিংহ কি তার গুহা থেকে গর্জন করে যদি না সে কিছু ধরে?
Will the lion roar in the forest, When he seeth no prey? Will the young lion cry aloud from his den, If he have seized nothing?
5 ৫ পাখি কি জমিতে পাতা ফাঁদে পরে, যদি না তার জন্য কোনো টোপ থাকে? ফাঁদ কি এমনিই মাটি থেকে লাফিয়ে উপরে ওঠে যদি না এটা কিছু ধরে?
Can a bird fall into a snare upon the earth, Where none is set for him? Will a snare spring up from the ground, When it hath caught nothing?
Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, And the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil upon a city, And Jehovah not have done it?
7 ৭ ততক্ষণ প্রভু সদাপ্রভু কিছুই করবেন না যতক্ষণ না তিনি তাঁর পরিকল্পনা তাঁর দাস ভাববাদীদের কাছে প্রকাশ করছেন।
Surely the Lord Jehovah doeth nothing, But he revealeth his secret To his servants the prophets.
When the lion roareth, who will not fear? When the Lord Jehovah speaketh, who will not prophesy?
9 ৯ অসদোদের দুর্গে এবং মিশর দেশের দুর্গে এটা ঘোষণা কর; বল, “তোমরা শমরিয়ার পাহাড়ে জড়ো হও আর দেখ, তার মধ্যে কি ভীষণ গোলমাল এবং তার মধ্যে কি উপদ্রব।
Proclaim ye, in the palaces in Ashdod, And in the palaces in the land of Egypt, And say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria; Behold the great tumults in the midst of her, And the oppressions within her!
10 ১০ তারা জানে না কিভাবে ভালো করতে হয়,” এই হল সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা, “তারা তাদের দুর্গে হিংসা এবং ধ্বংস জমা করে রেখেছে।”
For they have no care to do right, saith Jehovah; They treasure up rapine and robbery in their palaces.
11 ১১ এই জন্য, প্রভু সদাপ্রভু এই বলেন, “শত্রু দেশ ঘিরে ধরবে। সে তোমার দুর্গ ধ্বংস করবে এবং তোমার দুর্গ লুট করবে।”
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An enemy shall encompass the land. And shall bring down thy strength from thee, And thy palaces shall be plundered.
12 ১২ সদাপ্রভু এই বলেন, “যেমনভাবে মেষপালক সিংহের মুখ থেকে শুধু দুটো পা উদ্ধার করে বা একটা কান উদ্ধার করে, সেরকম ইস্রায়ালের লোকদেরও রক্ষা করা হবে যারা শমরিয়ায় বাস করে, শুধু খাটের পায়া এবং চাদরের টুকরা নিয়ে উদ্ধার পাবে।”
Thus saith Jehovah: As the shepherd taketh out of the lion's mouth Two legs, or a portion of an ear, So shall the children of Israel be taken out, Who in Samaria sit in the corners of their sofas, And upon their damask couches.
Hear ye, and testify to the house of Jacob, Saith the Lord, Jehovah, God of hosts!
14 ১৪ “যেদিন আমি ইস্রায়েলের পাপের শাস্তি দেব, আমি বৈথেলের যজ্ঞবেদী গুলোকেও শাস্তি দেবো। যজ্ঞবেদীর শৃঙ্গগুলি কাটা হবে এবং মাটিতে পড়বে।
In the day when I punish the transgressions of Israel, Then will I punish the altars of Bethel; The horns of the altar shall be cut off, And fall to the ground.
15 ১৫ আমি শীতকালের বাড়িকে ধ্বংস করব গ্রীষ্মকালের বাড়িগুলির সঙ্গে, হাতির দাঁতের বাড়িগুলিও ধ্বংস হবে এবং বড় বাড়িগুলি অদৃশ্য হয়ে যাবে।” এই হল সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা।
and I will smite the winter-house together with the summer-house, And the houses of ivory shall be destroyed, And the great houses shall be brought to the ground, saith Jehovah.
