শমূয়েলের দ্বিতীয় বই 21
1 ১ দায়ূদের দিনের একটানা তিন বছর দূর্ভিক্ষ হয়; তাতে দায়ূদ সদাপ্রভুর কাছে জিজ্ঞাসা করলে সদাপ্রভু উত্তর করলেন, “শৌল ও তার বংশের রক্তপাতের দোষ রয়েছে, কারণ সে গিবিয়োনীয়দেরকে হত্যা করেছিল৷”
And it was a famine in [the] days of David three years year after year and he sought David [the] face of Yahweh. And he said Yahweh because of Saul and because of [the] house of blood on that he put to death the Gibeonites.
2 ২ তাতে রাজা গিবিয়োনীয়দেরকে ডেকে তাদের সঙ্গে আলাপ করলেন৷ গিবিয়োনীয়রা ইস্রায়েল সন্তান নয়, এরা ইমোরীয়দের অবশিষ্ট অংশের লোক এবং ইস্রায়েল সন্তানরা তাদের কাছে দিব্যি করেছিল, কিন্তু শৌল ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদা সন্তানদের পক্ষে উদ্যোগী হয়ে তাদেরকে হত্যা করতে চেষ্টা করেছিলেন৷
And he summoned the king the Gibeonites and he said to them and the Gibeonites not [were] from [the] people of Israel they that except from [the] remnant of the Amorite[s] and [the] people of Israel they had sworn an oath to them and he had sought Saul to strike down them because was zealous he for [the] people of Israel and Judah.
3 ৩ দায়ূদ গিবিয়োনীয়দেরকে বললেন, “আমি তোমাদের জন্য কি করব? তোমরা যেন সদাপ্রভুর অধিকারকে আশীর্বাদ কর, এই জন্য আমি কি দিয়ে প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করব?”
And he said David to the Gibeonites what? will I do for you and how? will I make amends and bless [the] inheritance of Yahweh.
4 ৪ গিবিয়োনীয়েরা তাঁকে বলল, “শৌলের সঙ্গে কিংবা তার বংশের সঙ্গে আমাদের রূপা বা সোনা নিয়ে কোন সমস্যা নেই, আবার ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে কাউকেও হত্যা করা আমাদের কাজ নয়৷” পরে তিনি বললেন, “তবে তোমরা কি বলছ? আমি তোমাদের জন্য কি করব?”
And they said to him the Gibeonites not (to us *QK) silver and gold with Saul and with house his and not to us a man to put to death in Israel and he said what? [are] you saying I will do for you.
5 ৫ তারা রাজাকে বলল, “যে ব্যক্তি আমাদের হত্যা করেছে ও আমরা যেন ইস্রায়েলের সীমার মধ্যে কোথাও টিকতে না পারি, বিনষ্ট হই,
And they said to the king the man who he made an end of us and who he planned to us we were destroyed from standing in all [the] territory of Israel.
6 ৬ এই জন্য কুপরিকল্পনা করেছিল, তার সন্তানদের মধ্যে সাতজন পুরুষকে আমাদের কাছে সমর্পণ করুক; আমরা সদাপ্রভুর মনোনীত শৌলের গিবিয়াতে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে তাদেরকে ফাঁসি দেব৷”
(Let it be given *Qk) to us seven men from descendants his and we will impale them to Yahweh at Gibeah of Saul [the] chosen one of Yahweh. And he said the king I I will give [them].
7 ৭ তখন রাজা বললেন, “সমর্পণ করব৷ দায়ূদের ও শৌলের ছেলে যোনাথনের মধ্যে সদাপ্রভুর নামে এই শপথ হয়েছিল, তার জন্য রাজা শৌলের নাতি, যোনাথনের ছেলে মফীবোশতের প্রতি দয়া করলেন৷”
And he had compassion the king on Mephi-bosheth [the] son of Jonathan [the] son of Saul on [the] oath of Yahweh which [was] between them between David and between Jonathan [the] son of Saul.
8 ৮ কিন্তু অয়ার মেয়ে রিস্পা শৌলের জন্য অম্মোনি ও মফীবোশৎ নামে দুটি ছেলের জন্ম দিয়েছিল এবং মহোলাতীয় বর্সিল্লয়ের ছেলে অদ্রীয়েলের জন্য শৌলের মেয়ে মীখল যে পাঁচটি ছেলের জন্ম দিয়েছিল, তাদেরকে নিয়ে রাজা গিবিয়োনীয়দের হাতে তুলে দিলেন;
And he took the king [the] two [the] sons of Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah whom she had borne to Saul Armoni and Mephibosheth and [the] five [the] sons of Michal [the] daughter of Saul whom she had borne to Adriel [the] son of Barzillai the Meholathite.
9 ৯ যারা ঐ পর্বতে সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তাদেরকে ফাঁসি দিল৷ সে সাতজন একেবারে মারা পড়ল; তারা প্রথম ফসল কাটার দিনের অর্থাৎ যব কাটার শুরুতে নিহত হল৷
And he gave them in [the] hand of the Gibeonites and they impaled them on the mountain before Yahweh and they fell ([the] seven of them *QK) together (and they *Qk) they were put to death in [the] days of harvest in the first (at [the] beginning of *QK) [the] harvest of barley.
10 ১০ পরে অয়ার মেয়ে রিস্পা চট নিয়ে যব কাটার শুরু থেকে যে পর্যন্ত আকাশ থেকে তাদের উপরে জল না পড়ল, সে পর্যন্ত পাষাণের উপরে নিজের বিছানার মত সেই চটটি পেতে রাখল এবং দিনের আকাশের পাখিকে ও রাতে বনের পশুদেরকে তাদের উপরে বিশ্রাম করতে দিত না৷
And she took Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah sackcloth and she spread out it for herself to the rock from [the] beginning of harvest until it was poured out water on them from the heavens and not she permitted [the] bird[s] of the heavens to rest on them by day and [the] animal[s] of the field night.
And it was told to David [that] which she had done Rizpah [the] daughter of Aiah [the] concubine of Saul.
12 ১২ তখন দায়ূদ গিয়ে যাবেশ গিলিয়দের লোকেদের কাছ থেকে শৌলের হাড় ও তাঁর ছেলে যোনাথনের হাড় গ্রহণ করলেন; কারণ গিলবোয়ে পলেষ্টীয়দের দ্বারা শৌলের নিহত হবার দিনের তাঁদের দুজনের মৃতদেহ পলেষ্টীয়দের দ্বারা বৈৎ-শানের চকে টাঙ্গানোর পর তারা সেখান থেকে তা চুরি করে এনেছিল৷
And he went David and he took [the] bones of Saul and [the] bones of Jonathan son his from with [the] citizens of Jabesh Gilead who they had stolen them from [the] open square of Beth Shan where (they had hung up them there [the] Philistines *QK) on [the] day struck down [the] Philistines Saul on Gilboa.
13 ১৩ তিনি সেখান থেকে শৌলের হাড় ও তাঁর ছেলে যোনাথনের হাড় আনলেন এবং লোকেরা সেই ফাঁশি দেওয়া লোকদের হাড় সংগ্রহ করল৷
And he brought up from there [the] bones of Saul and [the] bones of Jonathan son his and they gathered [the] bones of the impaled [men].
14 ১৪ পরে তারা শৌলের ও তাঁর ছেলে যোনাথনের হাড় বিন্যামীন দেশের সেলাতে, তাঁর বাবা কীশের কবরের মধ্যে রাখল৷ তারা রাজার আদেশ অনুসারে সমস্ত কাজ করল৷ তারপরে দেশের জন্য ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করা হলে তিনি সন্তুষ্ট হলেন৷
And they buried [the] bones of Saul and Jonathan son his in [the] land of Benjamin at Zela in [the] tomb of Kish father his and they did all that he commanded the king and he was entreated God for the land after thus.
15 ১৫ পলেষ্টীয়দের সঙ্গে ইস্রায়েলের আবার যুদ্ধ বাঁধলো; তাতে দায়ূদ নিজের দাসদের সঙ্গে গিয়ে পলেষ্টীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করলেন; আর দায়ূদ ক্লান্ত হলেন৷
And it belonged again war to the Philistines with Israel and he went down David and servants his with him and they fought with [the] Philistines and he was weary David.
16 ১৬ তখন তিনি তিনশো শেকল পরিমাপের পিতলের বর্শাধারী যিশবী-বনোব নামে রফার এক সন্তান নতুন সাজে সেজে দায়ূদকে আঘাত করবে ঠিক করলেন৷
(And Ishbi-*QK) Benob who - [was] among those born of the Raphah and [the] weight of spear his [was] three hundred [the] weight of bronze and he [was] girded a new [weapon] and he said to strike down David.
17 ১৭ কিন্তু সরূয়ার ছেলে অবীশয় তাঁর সাহায্য করে সেই পলেষ্টীয়কে আঘাত ও হত্যা করলেন৷ তখন দায়ূদের লোকেরা তাঁর কাছে দিব্যি করে বলল, “আপনি আর আমাদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধে যাবেন না, ইস্রায়েলের প্রদীপ নেভাবেন না৷”
And he helped him Abishai [the] son of Zeruiah and he struck the Philistine and he killed him then they swore [the] men of David to him saying not you will go out again with us for battle and not you will extinguish [the] lamp of Israel.
18 ১৮ তারপরে আর একবার গোবে পলেষ্টীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ হল; তখন হূশাতীয় সিব্বখয় রফার সন্তান সফকে হত্যা করল৷
And it was after thus and it was again war at Gob with [the] Philistines then he struck down Sibbecai the Hushathite Saph who [was] among those born of the Raphah.
19 ১৯ আবার পলেষ্টীয়দের সঙ্গে গোবে যুদ্ধ হল; আর যারেওরগীমের ছেলে বৈৎলেহমীয় ইলহানন তাঁতের নরাজের মত বর্শাধারী গাতীয় শত্রু গলিয়াত ভ্রাতা কে হত্যা করল, ওর বর্শা তাঁতের মত ছিল৷
And it was again war at Gob with [the] Philistines and he struck down Elhanan [the] son of Jaare-Oregim [the] Beth-lehemite Goliath the Gittite and [the] wood of spear his [was] like a beam of weavers.
20 ২০ আর একবার গাতে যুদ্ধ হল; আর সেখানে খুব লম্বা একজন ছিল, প্রতি হাত পায়ে তার ছটি করে আঙ্গুল, মোট চব্বিশ আঙ্গুল ছিল, সেও রফার সন্তান৷
And it was again war at Gath and he was - a man of (stature *QK) and [the] fingers of hands his and [the] toes of feet his [were] six and six [was] twenty and four [the] number and also he he was born to the Raphah.
And he taunted Israel and he struck down him Jonathan [the] son of (Shimeah *QK) [the] brother of David.
Four these they were born to the Raphah in Gath and they fell by [the] hand of David and by [the] hand of servants his.
