1 ১ প্রিয় সন্তানেরা, তোমরা সব আত্মাকে বিশ্বাস করো না, কিন্তু সব আত্মাকে পরীক্ষা করে দেখ তারা ঈশ্বর থেকে কিনা, কারণ জগতে অনেক ভণ্ড ভাববাদীরা বের হয়েছে।

MY beloved, believe not all spirits, but discern the spirits whether they be from Aloha; because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

2 ২ তোমরা ঈশ্বরের আত্মাকে এই প্রকারে চিনতে পার যে, প্রত্যেক আত্মা স্বীকার করে যে ঈশ্বর থেকেই যীশু খ্রীষ্ট দেহ রূপে এসেছিলেন।

By this we know the Spirit of Aloha: Every spirit who confesseth that Jeshu Meshiha hath come in the flesh, is from Aloha.

3 ৩ এবং যে আত্মা যীশুকে স্বীকার করে না সে ঈশ্বরের থেকে নয়। আর সেটাই হলো খ্রীষ্টের শত্রুর আত্মা, তোমরা যার বিষয়ে শুনেছ যে আসছে এবং এখন সেই শত্রুর আত্মা জগতে আছে।

And every spirit who confesseth not that Jeshu hath come in the flesh, is not from Aloha: but this is from that false meshiha, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and now is in the world already.

4 ৪ প্রিয় সন্তানেরা, তোমরা ঈশ্বরের থেকে এবং ওই ভণ্ড ভাববাদীকে গুলিকে জয় করেছ; কারণ যিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে আছেন তিনি জগতের মধ্যে যে আছে তার থেকে মহান।

But you of Aloha are the children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is with you, than he who is in the world.

5 ৫ তারা সকলে জগতের থেকেই আর সেইজন্য তারা যা বলে তা জাগতিক কথা এবং জগতের মানুষই ওদের কথা শোনে।

And these are of the world, therefore the world heareth them. But we are of Aloha; and he who knoweth Aloha heareth us;

6 ৬ আমরা ঈশ্বরের থেকেই; ঈশ্বরকে যে জানে সে আমাদের কথা শোনে। যে ঈশ্বর থেকে নয় সে আমাদের কথা শোনে না। এর মাধ্যমেই আমরা সত্যের আত্মাকে ও ভণ্ড আত্মাকে চিনতে পারি।

and he who is not of Aloha heareth us not. In this itself we perceive the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

7 ৭ প্রিয়তমেরা, এস আমরা একে অপরকে ভালবাসি, কারণ ভালবাসা ঈশ্বর থেকেই এবং যে কেউ ঈশ্বরকে ভালবাসে, তার জন্ম ঈশ্বর থেকে এবং সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে।

my beloved, let us love one another, because love is of Aloha; and every one who loveth from Aloha is born, and knoweth Aloha.

8 ৮ যে কেউ ঈশ্বরকে ভালবাসে না, সে ঈশ্বরকে জানে না, কারণ ঈশ্বরই ভালবাসা।

For Aloha is Love; and every one who loveth not, knoweth not Aloha.

9 ৯ আমাদের মধ্যে ঈশ্বরের ভালবাসা এই ভাবে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে যে, ঈশ্বর নিজের একমাত্র পুত্রকে জগতে পাঠালেন, যেন তাঁর মাধ্যমে আমরা জীবন পাই।

In this was made known the love of Aloha towards us, that Aloha sent his only Son into the world that we might live by him.

10 ১০ এই পুত্রতেই ভালবাসা আছে; আমরা যে ঈশ্বরকে ভালবেসেছিলাম তা নয় কিন্তু তিনিই আমাদেরকে ভালবেসেছিলেন এবং নিজের পুত্রকে পাঠালেন ও আমাদের পাপের জন্য প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করলেন।

In this is love: it was not that we had loved Aloha, but that Aloha himself loved us, and sent his Son a propitiation for our sins.

11 ১১ প্রিয় সন্তানেরা, ঈশ্বর যখন আমাদেরকে এমন ভালবাসলেন তখন আমাদেরও উচিত একে অপরকে ভালবাসা।

MY beloved, if Aloha so hath loved us, we also are indebted to love one another.

12 ১২ কেউ ঈশ্বরকে কখনও দেখেনি। আমরা যদি একে অপরকে ভালবাসি তবে ঈশ্বর আমাদের মধ্যে থাকেন এবং তাঁর ভালবাসা আমাদের মধ্যে পূর্ণতা লাভ করে।

Aloha no man hath seen but if we love one another, Aloha in us abideth, and his love is fulfilled in us.

13 ১৩ এর থেকে আমরা জানতে পারি যে, আমরা তাঁতে থাকি এবং তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে থাকেন, কারণ তিনি নিজের আত্মা আমাদেরকে দান করেছেন।

And by this we know that in him we abide, and he abideth in us, because of his Spirit he hath given us.

14 ১৪ এবং আমরা দেখেছি ও সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে পিতা পুত্রকে জগতের মানুষের উদ্ধারকর্তা হিসাবে পাঠিয়েছেন।

And we have seen and we testify that the Father hath sent his Son, the Redeemer of the world.

15 ১৫ যারা যীশুকে ঈশ্বরের পুত্র বলে স্বীকার করে, ঈশ্বর তাদের মধ্যে থাকেন এবং তারা ঈশ্বরে থাকে।

Whosoever confesseth Jeshu that he is the Son of Aloha, in him Aloha abideth, and he abideth in Aloha.

16 ১৬ আর আমরা জানি এবং বিশ্বাস করি যে ঈশ্বর আমাদের ভালবাসেন। ঈশ্বরই ভালবাসা, আর ভালবাসার মধ্যে যে থাকে সে ঈশ্বরের মধ্যে থাকে এবং ঈশ্বর তার মধ্যে থাকেন।

And we have believed and known the love which Aloha hath toward us; for Aloha is Love. And every one who abideth in love in Aloha abideth.

17 ১৭ এই ভাবে ভালবাসা আমাদের মধ্যে পরিপূর্ণ হয়, যেন বিচারের দিনের আমারা সাহস পাই, কারণ তিনি যেমন আছেন আমরাও এই জগতে তেমনি আছি।

And in this is his love perfected with us, that openness of face we might have in the day of judgment; because that as He was, so also we are in this world.

18 ১৮ ভালবাসায় ভয় নেই, বরং পরিপূর্ণ ভালবাসা ভয়কে বের করে দেয়, কারণ ভয়ের সঙ্গে শাস্তির যোগ আছে এবং যে ভয় করে সে ভালবাসায় পরিপূর্ণ হয়নি।

Fear in love is not: but perfect love hath cast out fear, because fear is in terror. He who feareth is not perfect in love.

19 ১৯ আমরা তাঁকে ভালবাসি, কারণ ঈশ্বর প্রথমে আমাদের ভালবেসেছেন।

We then will love Aloha, because he hath first loved us.

20 ২০ যদি কেউ বলে আমি ঈশ্বরকে ভালবাসি কিন্তু নিজের ভাইকে ঘৃণা করে, তবে সে মিথ্যা কথা বলে; কারণ যাকে দেখেছে, নিজের সেই ভাইকে যে ভালবাসে না, সে ঈশ্বরকেও ভালবাসতে পারে না যাকে সে দেখেনি।

But if one shall say, I love Aloha, and his brother he hateth, he is a liar. For he who his brother whom he hath seen loveth not, how can he love Aloha himself whom he hath not seen?

21 ২১ আর আমরা তাঁর কাছ থেকে এই আদেশ পেয়েছি যে, ঈশ্বরকে যে ভালবাসে সে নিজের ভাইকেও ভালো বাসুক।

And this commandment we have received from him, That every one who loveth Aloha shall love also his brother.
