Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, through God’s will, —and Sosthenes the brother, —
2 ২ করিন্থ শহরে অবস্থিত ঈশ্বরের মণ্ডলীকে, খ্রীষ্ট যীশু যাদের পবিত্র করেছেন ও যাদের পবিত্র হওয়ার জন্য ডেকেছেন তাঁদের এবং যারা সমস্ত জায়গায় আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের নামে ডাকে, তাঁদের সবাইকে এই চিঠি লিখছি; তিনি তাঁদের এবং আমাদের প্রভু।
Unto the assembly of God which is in Corinth, sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, —with all who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in every place, —their Lord and ours:
Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
4 ৪ ঈশ্বরের যে অনুগ্রহ খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে তোমাদেরকে দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার জন্য আমি তোমাদের বিষয়ে সবদিন ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ করছি;
I give thanks unto my God, at all times, concerning you, by reason of the favour of God given unto you in Christ Jesus, —
That, in everything, ye have been enriched in him—in all discourse and in all knowledge;
6 ৬ তিনি তোমাদের সমস্ত জ্ঞানে ধনবান করেছে, এই ভাবে খ্রীষ্টের সাক্ষ্য তোমাদের মধ্যে সুনিশ্চিত (দৃঢ়) করা হয়েছে।
Even as, the witness of the Christ, hath been confirmed in you,
So that ye come short in no gift of favour, —ardently awaiting the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 ৮ আর তিনি তোমাদেরকে শেষ পর্যন্ত স্থির রাখবেন এবং আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের দিনের যেন নির্দোষ থাক।
Who will also confirm you unto the end, unaccusable in the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]:
9 ৯ ঈশ্বর বিশ্বস্ত, যাঁর মাধ্যমে তোমরা তাঁর পুত্র, আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের সহভাগীতার জন্য ডাকা হয়েছে।
Faithful, is God, through whom ye have been called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 ১০ কিন্তু হে ভাই এবং বোনেরা, আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের নামে আমি তোমাদেরকে অনুরোধ করে বলি, তোমরা সবাই একই কথা বল, তোমাদের মধ্যে দলাদলি না হোক, কিন্তু যেন তোমাদের এক মন হয় ও বিচারে একমত হও।
But I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, —that, the same thing, ye, all, be saying, and that there be not, among you, divisions; but that ye be fitly joined together—in the same mind, and in the same judgment.
11 ১১ কারণ, হে আমার ভাইয়েরা, আমি ক্লোয়ীর পরিবারের লোকেদের কাছ থেকে তোমাদের বিষয়ে খবর পেয়েছি যে, তোমাদের মধ্যে বিবাদ (দলাদলি) আছে।
For it hath been signified unto me, concerning you, my brethren, —by them who are of [the household of] Chloe, —that there are strifes among you,
12 ১২ আমি এই কথা বলছি যে, তোমরা সবাই বলে থাক, “আমি পৌলের,” আর আমি “আপল্লোর,” আর আমি “কৈফার,” আর আমি “খ্রীষ্টের।”
Now I mean this, —that, each one of you, is saying—I, indeed, am of Paul, but, I, of Apollos, but, I, of Cephas, but, I, of Christ:
13 ১৩ খ্রীষ্ট কি ভাগ হয়েছেন? পৌল কি তোমাদের জন্য ক্রুশে মৃত্যুবরণ করেছে? অথবা তোমরা কি পৌলের নামে বাপ্তিষ্ম নিয়েছ?
The Christ is divided! Was, Paul, crucified for you? Or, into the name of Paul, were ye immersed?
14 ১৪ ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ করি যে, আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে ক্রীষ্প ও গায়কে (গায়ুশ) ছাড়া আর কাউকেই বাপ্তিষ্ম দিই নি,
I give thanks, that, none of you, did I immerse—save Crispus and Gaius,
Lest any should say—into my own name, I immersed:
Yea! I immersed the house of Stephanas also, —besides, I know not whether, anyone else, I immersed.
17 ১৭ কারণ খ্রীষ্ট আমাকে বাপ্তিষ্ম দেওয়ার জন্য পাঠান নি, কিন্তু সুসমাচার প্রচার করার জন্য; তা জ্ঞানের বাক্য নয়, যেন খ্রীষ্টের ক্রুশীয় মৃত্যু বিফলে না যায়।
For Christ sent me not, to be immersing, but to be telling the good news, —not with wisdom of discourse, lest, void should be made, the cross of the Christ.
18 ১৮ কারণ সেই খ্রীষ্টের ক্রুশের কথা, যারা ধ্বংস হচ্ছে, তাদের কাছে মূর্খতা, কিন্তু পরিত্রান পাচ্ছি যে আমরা আমাদের কাছে তা ঈশ্বরের মহা শক্তি।
For, the discourse which concerneth the cross, unto them, indeed, who are perishing, is, foolishness; but, unto them who are being saved—unto us, it is, God’s power.
For it is written—I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and, the discernment of the discerning, will I set aside.
20 ২০ জ্ঞানীলোক কোথায়? ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা কোথায়? এই যুগের যুক্তিবাদীরা (যারা তর্ক করে) কোথায়? ঈশ্বর কি জগতের জ্ঞানকে মূর্খতায় পরিণত করেননি? (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)
21 ২১ কারণ, ঈশ্বরের জ্ঞানে যখন জগত তার নিজের জ্ঞান দিয়ে ঈশ্বরকে জানতে পারে নি, তখন প্রচারের মূর্খতার মাধ্যমে বিশ্বাসকারীদের পাপ থেকে উদ্ধার করতে ঈশ্বরের সুবাসনা হল।
For, seeing that, in the wisdom of God, the world, through its wisdom, did not get to knew God, God was well-pleased—through the foolishness of the thing proclaimed, to save them that believe.
Seeing that both, Jews for signs, do ask, and, Greeks for wisdom, do seek,
23 ২৩ কিন্তু আমারা ক্রুশে হত খ্রীষ্টকে প্রচার করি; তিনি ইহূদিদের কাছে বাধার মতো ও অইহূদিদের (গ্রীকদের) কাছে মূর্খতার মতো,
Whereas, we, proclaim a Christ who hath been crucified, —unto Jews, indeed, an occasion of stumbling, and, unto Gentiles, foolishness;
24 ২৪ কিন্তু যিহূদী ও গ্রীক, যাদের ডাকা হয়েছে তাদের সবার কাছে খ্রীষ্ট ঈশ্বরেরই মহাশক্তি ও ঈশ্বরেরই জ্ঞান।
But, unto the called themselves—both Jews and Greeks, Christ, God’s power, and, God’s wisdom.
25 ২৫ কারণ ঈশ্বরের যে মূর্খতা, তা মানুষের জ্ঞানের থেকে বেশি জ্ঞানী এবং ঈশ্বরের যে দুর্বলতা, তা মানুষের শক্তির থেকে বেশি শক্তিশালী।
Because, God’s foolish thing, is, wiser than men, and, God’s weak thing, mightier than men.
26 ২৬ কারণ, হে ভাই এবং বোনেরা, তোমাদের আহ্বান দেখ, যেহেতু মাংসের অনুসারে জ্ঞানী অনেক নেই, ক্ষমতাশালী অনেক নেই, উচ্চপদস্থও অনেক নেই;
For be looking at the calling of you, brethren, —that [there were] not many wise, according to flesh. Not many powerful, not many high-born:
27 ২৭ কিন্তু ঈশ্বর জগতের সমস্ত মূর্খ বিষয়কে বেছে নিলেন, যেন জ্ঞানীদের লজ্জা দেন এবং ঈশ্বর জগতের সমস্ত দুর্বল বিষয় মনোনীত করলেন, যেন শক্তিশালী বিষয়গুলিকে লজ্জা দেন।
On the contrary—the foolish things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame them who are wise, and, the weak things of the world, hath God chosen, that he might put to shame the things that are mighty,
28 ২৮ এবং জগতের যা যা নীচ ও যা যা তুচ্ছ, যা যা কিছুই নয়, সেই সমস্ত ঈশ্বর মনোনীত করলেন, যেন, যা যা আছে, সে সমস্ত কিছুকে মূল্যহীন করেন;
And, the low-born things of the world, and the things that are despised, hath God chosen, —[and] the things that are not, —that, the things that are, he might bring to nought;
So that no flesh should boast before God.
30 ৩০ কারণ ঈশ্বরের জন্যই তোমরা সেই খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে আছ, যিনি ঈশ্বরের থেকে আমাদের জন্য জ্ঞান, ধার্ম্মিকতা ও পবিত্রতা এবং প্রাণের মুক্তিদাতা হয়েছেন,
But, of him, are, ye, in Christ Jesus, who hath been made wisdom unto us, from God, —both righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
In order that, even as it is written—He that boasteth, in the Lord, let him boast.
