1 ১ আর প্রতিমার কাছে উত্সর্গ করা বলির বিষয়; আমরা জানি যে, আমাদের সকলের জ্ঞান আছে। জ্ঞান গর্বিত করে, কিন্তু ভালবাসাই গেঁথে তোলে।

7 ৭ তবে সবার মধ্যে এ জ্ঞান নেই; কিন্তু কিছু লোক আজও প্রতিমার সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক থাকায় প্রতিমার কাছে উত্সর্গ করা বলি মনে করে সেই বলি ভোজন করে এবং তাদের বিবেক দুর্বল বলে তা দূষিত হয়।

12 ১২ এই ভাবে ভাইয়েদের বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করলেও তাদের দুর্বল বিবেকে আঘাত করলে, তোমরা খ্রীষ্টের বিরুদ্ধে পাপ কর।

13 ১৩ অতএব খাদ্য দ্রব্য যদি আমার ভাইয়ের জন্য বাধার সৃষ্টি করে, তবে আমি কখনও মাংস খাব না, যদি এর জন্য আমার ভাইয়ের বাধার কারণ হই। (aiōn g165)
