বংশাবলির প্রথম খণ্ড 19
And it was after thus and he died Nahash [the] king of [the] people of Ammon and he reigned son his in place of him.
2 ২ দায়ূদ বললেন, “হানূনের বাবা নাহশ আমার প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত ছিলেন বলে আমিও হানূনের প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত থাকব।” সেইজন্য তাঁর বাবার মৃত্যুতে তাঁকে সান্ত্বনা দেবার জন্য তিনি কয়েকজন লোক পাঠিয়ে দিলেন। দায়ূদের লোকেরা হানূনকে সান্ত্বনা দেবার জন্য অম্মোনীয়দের দেশে গেল।
And he said David I will do loyalty - with Hanun [the] son of Nahash for he did father his with me loyalty and he sent David messengers to comfort him on father his and they came [the] servants of David into [the] land of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun to comfort him.
3 ৩ কিন্তু অম্মোনীয় নেতারা হানূনকে বললেন, “আপনি কি মনে করেন যে, দায়ূদ আপনার বাবার প্রতি সম্মান দেখাবার জন্য আপনাকে সান্ত্বনা দিতে লোক পাঠিয়েছে? সে তাদের আপনার কাছে পাঠিয়েছে যাতে তারা গুপ্তচর হিসাবে দেশের খোঁজখবর নিয়ে পরে সেটা ধ্বংস করে দিতে পারে।”
And they said [the] officials of [the] people of Ammon to Hanun ¿ [is] honoring David father your in eyes your for he has sent to you comforters ¿ not in order to explore and to overthrow and to spy out the land have they come servants his to you.
4 ৪ হানূন তখন দায়ূদের লোকদের ধরে তাদের দাড়ি কামিয়ে দিলেন এবং লম্বা জামার অর্ধেকটা, অর্থাৎ কোমর পর্যন্ত কেটে দিয়ে তাদের বিদায় করে দিলেন।
And he took Hanun [the] servants of David and he shaved them and he cut off robes their in the middle to the buttock[s] and he sent away them.
5 ৫ কেউ এসে দায়ূদকে সেই লোকদের প্রতি কি করা হয়েছে তা জানালে পর তাঁর পাঠানো সেই লোকদের সঙ্গে দেখা করবার জন্য তিনি কয়েকজন লোক পাঠিয়ে দিলেন, কারণ সেই লোকেরা খুব লজ্জিত ছিল। রাজা তাদের বলে পাঠালেন, “তোমাদের দাড়ি বেড়ে না ওঠা পর্যন্ত তোমরা যিরীহোতেই থাক; তারপর তোমরা ফিরে এসো।”
And people went and they told to David on the men and he sent to meet them for they were the men humiliated exceedingly and he said the king remain at Jericho until that it will grow back beard your and you will return.
6 ৬ অম্মোনীয়েরা যখন বুঝতে পারল যে, তারা দায়ূদের কাছে নিজেদের ঘৃণার পাত্র করে তুলেছে, তখন হানূন ও অম্মোনীয়েরা অরাম নহরয়িম, অরাম মাখা ও সোবা থেকে রথ ও অশ্বারোহীদের ভাড়া করে আনবার জন্য ঊনচল্লিশ হাজার কেজি রূপা পাঠিয়ে দিল।
And they saw [the] people of Ammon that they had made themselves odious with David and he sent Hanun and [the] people of Ammon one thousand talent[s] of silver to hire for themselves from Aram Naharaim and from Aram Maacah and from Zobah chariotry and horsemen.
7 ৭ তারা বত্রিশ হাজার রথ এবং সৈন্যদল সমেত মাখার রাজাকে ভাড়া করল। তিনি ও তাঁর সৈন্যেরা এসে মেদবার কাছে ছাউনি ফেললেন আর ওদিকে অম্মোনীয়েরা নিজের নিজের শহর থেকে একত্র হয়ে যুদ্ধের জন্য বের হল।
And they hired for themselves two and thirty thousand chariot[s] and [the] king of Maacah and people his and they came and they encamped before Medeba and [the] people of Ammon they gathered from cities their and they came for battle.
And he heard David and he sent Joab and all [the] army the warriors.
9 ৯ তখন অম্মোনীয়েরা বের হয়ে তাদের শহরের ফটকে ঢুকবার পথে যুদ্ধের জন্য সৈন্য সাজাল। এদিকে যে রাজারা এসেছিলেন তাঁরা খোলা মাঠে থাকলেন।
And they went out [the] people of Ammon and they deployed battle [the] entrance of the city and the kings who they had come to alone them [were] in the open country.
10 ১০ যোয়াব দেখলেন তাঁর সামনে এবং পিছনে অরামীয় সৈন্যদের সাজানো হয়েছে। সেইজন্য তিনি তাঁর সৈন্যদের মধ্য থেকে কতগুলো বাছাই করা সৈন্য নিয়ে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে সাজালেন।
And he saw Joab that it was [the] face of the battle against him face and back and he chose from every chosen [man] in Israel and he deployed to meet Aram.
11 ১১ বাকি সৈন্যদের তিনি তাঁর ভাই অবীশয়ের অধীনে রাখলেন; তাতে তারা অম্মোনীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য নিজেদের সাজাল।
And [the] rest of the people he put in [the] hand of Abishai brother his and they deployed to meet [the] people of Ammon.
12 ১২ যোয়াব তাঁর ভাইকে বললেন, “যদি অরামীয়েরা আমার চেয়ে শক্তিশালী হয় তবে তুমি আমাকে সাহায্য করতে আসবে, আর যদি অম্মোনীয়েরা তোমার চেয়ে শক্তিশালী হয় তবে আমি তোমাকে সাহায্য করতে যাব।
And he said if it will be [too] strong for me Aram and you will become for me deliverance. And if [the] people of Ammon they will be [too] strong for you and I will deliver you.
13 ১৩ সাহস কর; আমাদের লোকদের জন্য এবং আমাদের ঈশ্বরের শহরগুলোর জন্য এস, আমরা সাহসের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করি। সদাপ্রভুর চোখে যা ভাল তিনি তাই করবেন।”
Be strong so let us show ourselves strong for people our and for [the] cities of God our and Yahweh the good in eyes his he will do.
14 ১৪ এই বলে যোয়াব তাঁর সৈন্যদল নিয়ে অরামীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য এগিয়ে গেলে পর অরামীয়েরা তাঁর সামনে থেকে পালিয়ে গেল।
And he drew near Joab and the people which [was] with him before Aram for battle and they fled from before him.
15 ১৫ অরামীয়দের পালিয়ে যেতে দেখে অম্মোনীয়েরাও যোয়াবের ভাই অবীশয়ের সামনে থেকে পালিয়ে গিয়ে শহরের ভিতরে ঢুকল। কাজেই যোয়াব যিরূশালেমে ফিরে গেলেন।
And [the] people of Ammon they saw that it had fled Aram and they fled also they from before Abishai brother his and they went the city towards and he went Joab Jerusalem.
16 ১৬ অরামীয়েরা যখন দেখল যে, তারা ইস্রায়েলীয়দের কাছে সম্পূর্ণভাবে হেরে গেছে তখন তারা লোক পাঠিয়ে ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর ওপারে বাস করা অরামীয়দের নিয়ে আসল। হদরেষরের সৈন্যদলের সেনাপতি শোবক তাদের পরিচালনা করে নিয়ে আসলেন।
And it saw Aram that they had been defeated before Israel and they sent messengers and they brought out Aram which [was] from [the] other side of the river and Shophach [the] commander of [the] army of Hadadezer [was] before them.
17 ১৭ দায়ূদকে সেই কথা জানালে পর তিনি সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয় সৈন্যদের জড়ো করলেন এবং যর্দ্দন নদী পার হয়ে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে এগিয়ে গেলেন এবং তাদের সামনের দিকে যুদ্ধের জন্য সৈন্য সাজালেন। তখন অরামীয়েরা দায়ূদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করল।
And it was told to David and he gathered all Israel and he passed over the Jordan and he came to them and he deployed against them and he deployed David to meet Aram battle and they fought with him.
18 ১৮ কিন্তু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের সামনে থেকে তারা পালিয়ে গেল। তখন দায়ূদ অরামীয়দের সাত হাজার রথচালক ও চল্লিশ হাজার পদাতিক সৈন্য মেরে ফেললেন। তিনি তাদের সেনাপতি শোবককেও মেরে ফেললেন।
And it fled Aram from to before Israel and he killed David of Aram seven thousand charioteer[s] and forty thousand man on foot and Shophach [the] commander of the army he killed.
19 ১৯ হদরেষরের অধীন রাজারা যখন দেখলেন যে, তাঁরা ইস্রায়েলীয়দের কাছে হেরে গেছেন তখন দায়ূদের সঙ্গে শান্তি চুক্তি করে তাঁরা তাঁর অধীন হলেন। কাজেই অম্মোনীয়দের সাহায্য করতে অরামীয়েরা আর রাজি হল না।
And they saw [the] servants of Hadadezer that they had been defeated before Israel and they made peace with David and they served him and not it was willing Aram to deliver [the] people of Ammon again.
