বংশাবলির প্রথম খণ্ড 16

1 ১ ঈশ্বরের সিন্দুকের জন্য দায়ূদ যে তাঁবু খাটিয়েছিলেন লোকেরা সিন্দুকটি এনে তার ভিতরে রাখল। এর পর ঈশ্বরের সামনে হোমবলি ও মঙ্গলার্থক বলি উত্সর্গ করা হল।

So they brought in the ark of God, and placed it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it, —and they brought near ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, before God.

2 ২ সেই সব উৎসর্গের অনুষ্ঠান করা শেষ হয়ে গেলে পর দায়ূদ সদাপ্রভুর নামে লোকদের আশীর্বাদ করলেন।

And, when David had made an end of offering the ascending-sacrifices, and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people, in the name of Yahweh.

3 ৩ তারপর তিনি ইস্রায়েলীয় প্রত্যেক স্ত্রীলোক ও পুরুষকে একটা করে রুটি, এক খণ্ড মাংস ও এক কিশমিশের পিঠে দিলেন।

And he apportioned, to every one of Israel, both man and woman, —to every one, a loaf of bread, and a sweet drink, and a raisin cake.

4 ৪ সদাপ্রভুর সিন্দুকের সামনে সেবা কাজের জন্য দায়ূদ কয়েকজন লেবীয়কে নিযুক্ত করলেন যাতে তারা প্রার্থনা করতে, ধন্যবাদ দিতে এবং ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব করতে পারে।

And he placed before the ark of Yahweh certain of the Levites, as attendants, —and to celebrate, and to give thanks and render praise, unto Yahweh, God of Israel;

5 ৫ এই লোকদের নেতা ছিলেন আসফ, দ্বিতীয় ছিলেন সখরিয়, তারপরে ছিলেন যিয়ীয়েল, শমীরামোৎ, যিহীয়েল, মত্তিথিয়, ইলীয়াব, বনায়, ওবেদ ইদোম ও যিয়ীয়েল। এঁরা বাজাতেন বীণা ও সুরবাহার আর আসফ বাজাতেন করতাল;

Asaph the chief, and, second to him, Zechariah, —Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres, and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud:

6 ৬ যাজক বনায় আর যহসীয়েল ঈশ্বরের সেই ব্যবস্থা সিন্দুকের সামনে নিয়মিত ভাবে তূরী বাজাতেন।

and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, —with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 ৭ সেই দিন দায়ূদ প্রথমে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে ধন্যবাদের এই গান গাইবার ভার আসফ ও তাঁর ভাইদের উপর দিলেন:

On that day, then, David gave [these songs] in chief, to give thanks unto Yahweh, —through Asaph, and his brethren: —

8 ৮ “সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দাও, তাঁর গুণের কথা ঘোষণা কর; তাঁর কাজের কথা অন্যান্য জাতিদের জানাও।

Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his name, Make known among the peoples, his doings;

9 ৯ তাঁর উদ্দেশ্যে গান গাও, তাঁর প্রশংসা গান কর; তাঁর সব আশ্চর্য্য কাজের কথা বল।”

Sing ye to him, Make music unto him, Speak ye of all his wonders.

10 ১০ তাঁর পবিত্রতার গৌরব কর; যারা সদাপ্রভুকে গভীরভাবে জানতে আগ্রহী তাদের অন্তর আনন্দিত হোক।

Boast yourselves in his holy name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.

11 ১১ সদাপ্রভু ও তাঁর শক্তিকে বুঝতে চেষ্টা কর; সব দিন তাঁর উপস্থিতিতে থাকতে আগ্রহী হও।

Search out Yahweh, and his power, Seek diligently his face, at all times.

12 ১২ তাঁর আশ্চর্য্য কাজগুলোর কথা মনে রেখো; তাঁর আশ্চর্য্য কাজ ও মুখনির্গত আদেশ সব।

Remember his wonders which he hath done, His splendid deeds, and the just decisions of his mouth.

13 ১৩ হে তাঁর দাস ইস্রায়েললের বংশধরেরা, তাঁর মনোনীত যাকোবের লোকেরা।

O ye seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob his chosen ones:

14 ১৪ তিনিই আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু; গোটা দুনিয়া তাঁরই শাসনে চলছে।

Yahweh himself, is our God, through all the land, are his just decisions.

15 ১৫ যে বাক্যের নির্দেশ তিনি দিয়েছিলেন হাজার হাজার বংশের জন্য, তাঁর সেই ব্যবস্থার কথা চিরকাল মনে রেখো।

Remember yea to times age-abiding, his covenant, the word he hath commanded, to a thousand generations;

16 ১৬ সেই নিয়ম তিনি অব্রাহামের জন্য স্থাপন করেছিলেন আর ইস্‌হাকের কাছে শপথ করেছিলেন।

Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;

17 ১৭ তিনি তা যাকোবের জন্য বিধি হিসাবে আর ইস্রায়েলের কাছে অনন্তকালীন নিয়ম হিসাবে ঘোষণা করেছিলেন।

And confirmed it, unto Jacob, for a statute, unto Israel, as a covenant age-abiding:

18 ১৮ তিনি বলেছিলেন, “আমি তোমাকে কনান দেশ দেব, সেটাই হবে তোমার পাওনা সম্পত্তি।”

Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, as your inherited portion:

19 ১৯ সেখানে তোমরা সংখ্যায় বেশি ছিলে না, অল্প ছিলে এবং সেখানে বিদেশী ছিলে।

While, as yet, ye were men who could be counted, a very few, and sojourners therein:

20 ২০ তারা এক জাতি থেকে অন্য জাতির কাছে, এক রাজ্য থেকে অন্য লোকদের কাছে বেড়াত।

And they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom, to another people:

21 ২১ তখন তিনি কাউকে তাদের অত্যাচার করতে দিতেন না। তাদের জন্য তিনি রাজাদের শাস্তি দিতেন,

He suffered no man to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—kings!

22 ২২ বলতেন, “আমার অভিষিক্ত লোকদের ছোঁবে না; আমার ভাববাদীদের কোনো ক্ষতি করবে না।”

Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.

23 ২৩ পৃথিবীর সব লোক, সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে গান গাও; তাঁর দেওয়া উদ্ধারের কথা দিনের পর দিন ঘোষণা কর।

Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:

24 ২৪ বিভিন্ন জাতির মধ্যে তাঁর মহিমা ঘোষণা কর; সমস্ত লোকের মধ্যে তাঁর সব আশ্চর্য্য কাজের কথা ঘোষণা কর।

Recount, among the nations, his glory, among all the peoples, his wonders.

25 ২৫ সদাপ্রভুই মহান এবং সবার উপরে প্রশংসার যোগ্য; সব দেব দেবতার চেয়ে তিনি বেশী ভয়ার্হ।

For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, and to be revered is he above all gods;

26 ২৬ বিভিন্ন জাতির দেব দেবতারা অসার মাত্র, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আকাশমন্ডলের সৃষ্টিকর্ত্তা।

For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought, but, Yahweh, made, the heavens.

27 ২৭ তাঁকেই ঘিরে রয়েছে গৌরব ও মহিমা; তাঁর বাসস্থানে রয়েছে শক্তি ও আনন্দ।

Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and joy, are in his dwelling-place.

28 ২৮ হে বিভিন্ন জাতির সমস্ত গোষ্ঠী, স্বীকার কর সমস্ত গৌরব ও শক্তি সদাপ্রভুরই।

Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength:

29 ২৯ তাঁর নামের গৌরব বর্ননা কর; নৈবেদ্য নিয়ে তাঁর সামনে এস। পবিত্রতার ঐশ্বর্য্যে সদাপ্রভুর আরাধনা কর।

Give to Yahweh, the glory of his name, —Bring ye a present, and enter before him, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness:

30 ৩০ পৃথিবীর সমস্ত লোক, তোমরা তাঁর সামনে কেঁপে ওঠো। পৃথিবী অটলভাবে স্থাপিত হল, তা কখনও নড়বে না।

Tremble at his presence, all the earth, But the world, shall be established, it shall not be shaken.

31 ৩১ আকাশমন্ডল আনন্দ করুক, পৃথিবী খুশী হোক; বিভিন্ন জাতির মধ্যে তারা ঘোষণা করুক, “সদাপ্রভুই রাজত্ব করেন।”

Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let them say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become king!

32 ৩২ সাগর ও তার মধ্যেকার সব কিছু গর্জন করুক; মাঠ ও তার মধ্যেকার সব কিছু আনন্দিত হোক।

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof, Let the field leap for joy, and all that is therein:

33 ৩৩ তাহলে বনের গাছপালাও সদাপ্রভুর সামনে আনন্দে গান করবে, কারণ তিনি পৃথিবীর বিচার করতে আসছেন।

Then, shall shout in triumph, the trees of the forest, before Yahweh, for he is coming, to judge the earth.

34 ৩৪ তোমরা সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ কর, কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময়; তাঁর অটল ভালবাসা অনন্তকাল স্থায়ী।

Give ye thanks unto Yahweh, For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

35 ৩৫ তোমরা বল, “হে আমাদের উদ্ধারকর্তা ঈশ্বর, আমাদের উদ্ধার কর; অন্যান্য জাতিদের মধ্য থেকে তুমি আমাদের এক জায়গায় নিয়ে এসে আমাদের রক্ষা কর, যাতে আমরা তোমার পবিত্রতা নামের স্তব করি, জয়ধ্বনি সহকারে তোমার প্রশংসা করি।”

And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us, from among the nations, —that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, that we may triumph aloud in thy praise.

36 ৩৬ আদি থেকে অনন্তকাল পর্যন্ত ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব হোক। এর পর সব লোকেরা বলল, “আমেন” এবং সদাপ্রভুর প্রসংসা করলো।

Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from one age even to another age. Then said all the people, Amen, And gave praise to Yahweh.

37 ৩৭ প্রতিদিনের প্রয়োজন অনুসারে নিয়মিত সেবা কাজের জন্য দায়ূদ সদাপ্রভুর নিয়ম সিন্দুকের কাছে আসফ ও তাঁর ভাইদের রাখলেন।

So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brethren, —to be in attendance before the ark continually, for the duty of a day on its day;

38 ৩৮ তাদের সাহায্য করবার জন্য তিনি ওবেদ ইদোম ও তাঁর আটষট্টি জন লোককেও রাখলেন। যিদূথূনের ছেলে ওবেদ ইদোম ও হোষা ছিলেন দরজার পাহারাদার।

and Obed-edom with his brethren, sixty-eight, —and Obed-edom son of Jedithun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;

39 ৩৯ দায়ূদ গিবিয়োনের উপাসনার উঁচু স্থানে সদাপ্রভুর আবাস তাঁবুর সামনে যাজক সাদোক ও তাঁর সঙ্গী যাজকদের রাখলেন।

and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the habitation of Yahweh, —in the high place that was in Gibeon:

40 ৪০ এর উদ্দেশ্য ছিল সদাপ্রভু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের যে ব্যবস্থার আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন তাতে যা যা লেখা ছিল সেই অনুসারে যেন তাঁরা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে বেদির উপর প্রতিদিন সকালে ও বিকালে নিয়মিতভাবে হোমবলির অনুষ্ঠান করতে পারেন।

to offer ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —continually, morning and evening, —even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded concerning Israel;

41 ৪১ তাঁদের সঙ্গে ছিলেন হেমন ও যিদূথূন আর বাদবাকী লোক, যাদের নাম উল্লেখ করে বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছিল যাতে তারা সদাপ্রভুর অনন্তকাল স্থায়ী অটল ভালবাসার জন্য তাঁকে ধন্যবাদ দিতে পারে।

and, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones, who were distinguished by name, —to give thanks unto Yahweh, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness!

42 ৪২ ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে গান করবার দিনের তূরী, করতাল ও অন্যান্য বাজনা বাজাবার জন্য হেমন ও যিদূথূনের উপর ভার দেওয়া হল। যিদূথূনের ছেলেরা লোকদের দরজার পাহারাদার হল।

And, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, [with] the trumpets, and the cymbals, for sounding aloud, and the instruments for the songs of God, —and the sons of Jeduthun, for the gate.

43 ৪৩ এর পর সব লোক যে যার বাড়ীর দিকে রওনা হল এবং দায়ূদ তাঁর পরিবারের লোকদের আশীর্বাদ করবার জন্য বাড়িতে ফিরে গেলেন।

And all the people departed, every man to his house, —and David went round, to bless his own household.
