1 ১ আদম, শেথ, ইনোশ,

Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

2 ২ কৈনন, মহললেল, যেরদ,

Kenan, Mehalalel, Jered,

3 ৩ হনোক, মথূশেলহ, লেমক।

Enoch, Methushelah, Lemech,

4 ৪ নোহ, শেম, হাম ও যেফৎ।

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5 ৫ যেফতের ছেলেরা হল গোমর, মাগোগ, মাদয়, যবন, তুবল, মেশক ও তীরস।

The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Meshech, and Thirass.

6 ৬ গোমরের ছেলেরা হল অস্কিনস, দীফৎ ও তোগর্ম।

And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenas, and Diphath, and Thogarmah.

7 ৭ যবনের ছেলেরা হল ইলীশা, তর্শীশ, কিত্তীম ও রোদানীম।

And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tharshishah, Kittim, and Rodanim.

8 ৮ হামের ছেলেরা হল কূশ, মিশর, পূট ও কনান।

The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.

9 ৯ কূশের ছেলেরা হল সবা, হবীলা, সপ্তা, রয়মা ও সপ্তকা। রয়মার ছেলেরা হল শিবা ও দদান।

And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.

10 ১০ নিম্রোদ কূশের ছেলে। তিনি পৃথিবীতে একজন ক্ষমতাশালী পুরুষ হয়ে উঠেছিলেন।

And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.

11 ১১ লূদীয়, অনামীয়, লহাবীয়, নপ্তুহীয়,

And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,

12 ১২ পথ্রোষীয়, কস্‌লূহীয়েরা ছিল পলেষ্টীয়দের পূর্বপুরুষ এবং কপ্তোরীয়, এই সব মিশরের বংশের লোক।

And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.

13 ১৩ কনানের বড় ছেলের নাম সীদোন।

And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.

14 ১৪ তার পরে হেৎ, যিবূষীয়, ইমোরীয়, গির্গাশীয়,

And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,

15 ১৫ হিব্বীয়,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

16 ১৬ অর্কীয়, সীনীয়, অর্বদীয়, সমারীয় এবং হমাতীয়।

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.

17 ১৭ শেমের ছেলেরা হল এলম, অশূর, অর্ফকষদ, লূদ ও অরাম এবং ঊষ, হূল, গেথর ও মেশেক।

The sons of Shem: 'Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and 'Uz, and Chul, and Gether, and Meshech.

18 ১৮ অর্ফকষদ শেলহের জন্ম দিলেন ও শেলহ এবারের জন্ম দিলেন।

And Arpachshad begat Shelach, and Shelach begat 'Eber.

19 ১৯ এবারের দুইটি ছেলে হয়েছিল। তাদের এক জনের নাম পেলগ (বিভাগ); কারণ তার দিনের পৃথিবী ভাগ হয়েছিল; তাঁর ভাইয়ের নাম ছিল যক্তন।

And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

20 ২০ যক্তনের ছেলেরা হল অলমোদদ, শেলফ,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,

21 ২১ হৎসর্মাবৎ, যেরহ, হদোরাম, উষল, দিক্ল,

And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22 ২২ এবল, অবীমায়েল, শিবা,

And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,

23 ২৩ ওফীর, হবীলা ও যোববের জন্ম দিলেন। এরা সবাই যক্তনের ছেলে।

And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

24 ২৪ শেম, অর্ফকষদ, শেলহ,

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,

25 ২৫ এবর, পেলগ, রিয়ূ,

'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,

26 ২৬ সরূগ, নাহোর, তেরহ,

Serug, Nachor, Terach,

27 ২৭ অব্রাম, অর্থাৎ অব্রাহাম।

Abram, the same is Abraham.

28 ২৮ অব্রাহামের ছেলেরা হল ইস্‌হাক ও ইশ্মায়েল।

The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishma'el.

29 ২৯ তাঁদের বংশের কথা এই: ইশ্মায়েলের বড় ছেলে নবায়োৎ, তার পরে কেদর, অদবেল, মিব্‌সম,

These are their generations: The first-born of Ishma'el, Nebayoth, then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 ৩০ মিশ্‌ম, দূমা, মসা, হদদ, তেমা,

Mishma', and Dumah, Massa, Chadad, and Thema,

31 ৩১ যিটূর, নাফীশ ও কেদমা। এরা ইশ্মায়েলের ছেলে।

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishma'el.

32 ৩২ অব্রাহামের উপপত্নী কটূরার ছেলেরা হল সিম্রন, যক্‌ষণ, মদান, মিদিয়ন, যিশ্‌বক ও শূহ। যক্‌ষণের ছেলেরা হল শিবা ও দদান।

And the sons of Keturah, the concubine of Abraham: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Yishbak, and Shuach. And the sons Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.

33 ৩৩ মিদিয়নের ছেলেরা হল ঐফা, এফর, হনোক, অবীদ ও ইলদায়া। এরা সবাই ছিল কটূরার বংশধর।

And the sons of Midian: 'Ephah, and 'Epher, and Chanoch, and Abida', and Elda'ah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

34 ৩৪ অব্রাহামের ছেলে ইস্‌হাকের ছেলেরা হল এষৌ আর ইস্রায়েল।

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 ৩৫ এষৌর ছেলেরা হল ইলীফস, রূয়েল, যিয়ূশ, যালম ও কোরহ।

The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re'uel, and Ye'ush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.

36 ৩৬ ইলীফসের ছেলেরা হল তৈমন, ওমার, সফী, গয়িতম, কনস এবং তিম্না ও অমালেক।

The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.

37 ৩৭ রূয়েলের ছেলেরা হল নহৎ, সেরহ, শম্ম ও মিসা।

The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 ৩৮ সেয়ীরের ছেলেরা হল লোটন, শোবল, শিবিয়োন, অনা, দিশোন, এৎসর ও দীশন।

And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39 ৩৯ লোটনের ছেলেরা হল হোরি ও হোমম। তিম্না ছিল লোটনের বোন।

And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.

40 ৪০ শোবলের ছেলেরা হল অলবন, মানহৎ, এবল, শফী ও ওনম। সিবিয়োনের ছেলেরা হল অয়া ও অনা।

The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.

41 ৪১ অনার ছেলে হল দিশোন। দিশোনের ছেলেরা হল হম্রণ, ইশবন, যিত্রণ ও করাণ।

The sons of 'Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Chamran, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.

42 ৪২ এৎসরের ছেলেরা হল বিলহন, সাবন ও যাকন। দীশনের ছেলেরা হল ঊষ ও অরান।

The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Za'avan, and Ja'akan. The sons of Dishan: 'Uz, and Aran.

43 ৪৩ ইস্রায়েলীয়দের উপরে কোনো রাজা রাজত্ব করবার আগে এরা ইদোম দেশের রাজা ছিলেন; বিয়োরের ছেলে বেলা। তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম ছিল দিনহাবা।

And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44 ৪৪ বেলার মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় বস্রা শহরের সেরহের ছেলে যোবব রাজত্ব করেন।

And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.

45 ৪৫ যোববের মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় তৈমন দেশের হূশম রাজা হয়েছিলেন।

And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.

46 ৪৬ হূশমের মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় বদদের ছেলে হদদ্‌ রাজা হয়েছিলেন। তিনি মোয়াব দেশে মিদিয়নীয়দের হারিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন। তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম ছিল অবীৎ।

And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.

47 ৪৭ আর হদদের মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় মস্রেকা শহরের সম্ল রাজা হয়েছিলেন।

And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.

48 ৪৮ আর সম্লর মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় সেই জায়গায় (ফরাৎ বা ইউফ্রেটিস) নদীর কাছে রহোবোৎ শহরের শৌল তাঁর পদে রাজা হয়েছিলেন।

And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.

49 ৪৯ আর শৌলেরমৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় অকবোরের ছেলে বাল্‌ হানন রাজা হয়েছিলেন।

And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.

50 ৫০ আর বাল্‌ হাননের মৃত্যুর পরে তাঁর জায়গায় হদদ্‌ রাজা হয়েছিলেন। তাঁর রাজধানীর নাম ছিল পায় এবং তাঁর স্ত্রীর নাম ছিল মহেটবেল। তিনি মট্রেদের মেয়ে এবং মেষাহবের নাতনী।

And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

51 ৫১ পরে হদদের মৃত্যু হয়েছিল।

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,

52 ৫২ ইদোমের দলপতিদের নাম তিম্ন, অলিয়া, যিথেৎ, অহলীবামা, এলা, পীনোন,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53 ৫৩ কনস, তৈমন, মিব্‌সর,

Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,

54 ৫৪ মগদীয়েল ও ঈরম। এরা সবাই ইদোমের দলপতি ছিল।

Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
