And those foolish (ones) took their lamps, but did not take with them the oil:
4 Baina çuhurréc har ceçaten olio bere vncietan bere lampequin.
but those were wise who took oil in vessels with their lamps.
5 Eta nola sposoac ethortera berancen baitzuen, guciac logale citecen, eta loac har citzan.
But while the bridegroom withheld, they all dozed and slept.
6 Eta gau-herditan oihu eguin cedin, Huná, sposoa heldu da, ilki çaitezte haren aitzinera.
And in the dividing of the night there was the cry, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go forth to his meeting.

Then all the virgins arose, and prepared their lamps.
8 Eta erhoéc çuhurrey erran ciecén, Iguçue çuen oliotic: ecen gure lampác iraunguiten dirade.
But those foolish ones said to the wise, Give to us from your oil; for, behold, our lamps are gone out.
9 Baina ihardets ceçaten çuhurrec, cioitela, Ez, beldurrez asco eztugun gure eta çuen: baina aitzitic çoazte saltzen dutenetara, eta erossaçue ceurondaco.
But the wise ones answered them, saying, Lest it should not suffice for us and for you; but go to those who sell, and buy for you.
10 Eta hec erostera ioaiten ciradela, ethor cedin sposoa: eta prest ciradenac sar citecen harequin ezteyetara, eta erts cedin borthá.
And while they were gone to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared entered with him into the house of festivity, and the gate was shut.

At last came also those other virgins, saying, Our Lord, our Lord, open to us!
12 Baina harc ihardesten duela, dio, Eguiaz diotsuet, etzaituztet eçagutzen.
But he answered and said to them, Assuredly I tell you, I know you not.
13 Veilla eçaçue bada: ecen eztaquiçue guiçonaren Semea ethorriren den eguna ez orena.
Be wakeful therefore, for you know not that day nor the hour.
14 Ecen gauça haur guiçombat beçala da, ceinec lekorerat ioaitean dei baitzitzan bere cerbitzariac, eta bere onac eman baitzietzén.
FOR as a man who journeyed called his servants, and delivered to them his property:

To one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, each man according to his faculty; and forthwith went away.
16 Eta ioan cedin borz talentac recebitu cituena, eta traffica ceçan heçaz, eta eguin citzan berce borz talent.
But he who had received five talents went and traded with them, and gained five others.

Likewise he who (had received) two by trading gained two others.
18 Baina bat recebitu çuenac ioanic aitzur ceçan lurrean, eta gorde ceçan bere nabussiaren diruä.
But he who had received one went, dug in the earth, and hid the money of his lord.
19 Eta dembora handiaren buruän ethorten da cerbitzari hayén nabussia, eta contu eguiten du hequin.
After a long time the lord of those servants came, and received from them the account.
20 Orduan ethorriric borz talentac recebitu cituenac presenta cietzón berce borz talent, cioela, Nabussiá, borz talent eman drauzquidac, huná, berce borz talent irabaci citiat heçaz.

21 Erran cieçón bere nabussiac, Vngui, cerbitzari oná eta leyalá: gauça gutian içan aiz leyal, anhitzaren gaineco eçarriren aut: sar adi eure nabussiaren alegrançan.
His lord said to him, It is well, good and faithful servant; over a little thou hast been faithful, over much I will establish thee: enter into the joy of thy lord.
22 Guero ethorriric bi talentac recebitu cituenac-ere diotsa, Nabussiá, bi talent eman drauzquidac, huná, berce biga irabaci citiat heçaz.
And he of the two talents approached, and said, My lord, two talents thou gavest me: behold, two others I have gained by them.
23 Erran cieçón bere nabussiac, Vngui, cerbitzari oná eta leyalá, gutiaren gainean içan aiz leyal, anhitzaren gaineco eçarriren aut: sar adi eure nabussiaren alegrançán.
His lord saith to him, It is well, servant good and faithful; over a little thou hast been faithful, over much will I establish thee: enter into the joy of thy lord.

But he also drew near who had received the one talent, and said, My lord, I knew thee, that thou wast a hard man, reaping where thou hadst not sowed, and gathering together from whence thou hadst not dispersed.
25 Hunegatic beldurrez ioanic gorde diát hire talenta lurrean: huná, baduc eurea.
And I feared, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold, thou hast thine own.
26 Eta ihardesten çuela bere nabussiac erran cieçón, Cerbitzari gaichtoá eta lachoá, bahaquian ecen biltzen dudala erein eztudan lekuan: eta elkarganatzen dudala barreyatu eztudan lekuan.
His lord answered, Thou evil and slothful servant, thou didst know me that I reap where I have not sowed, and collect from whence I have not dispersed.
27 Beraz behar erauèn eman ene diruä cambiadorey, eta ethorriric nic recebitu bainuqueen neurea lucururequin.
Did it not behove thee to cast my money upon the table, that when I came I might require mine own with its increase?
28 Edequi eçoçue bada huni talenta, eta emoçue hamar talentac dituenari.
Take therefore from him the talent, and give it unto him who hath ten talents.
29 Ecen duen guciari emanen çayó, eta hambat guehiago vkanen du: baina deus eztuenari, duena-ere edequiren çayó.
For unto him who hath shall be given, and it shall be added to him; but he who hath not, that also which he hath shall be taken from him.
30 Eta cerbitzari alferra egotzaçue lekoreco ilhunbera: han içanen da nigar eta hortz garrascots.
And the indolent servant cast forth into the darknesses without; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 Bada guiçonaren Semea dathorrenean bere glorián, eta Aingueru saindu guciac harequin, orduan iarriren da bere gloriaren thronoan.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats.
33 Eta eçarriren ditu ardiac bere escuinean, eta akerrac bere ezquerrean.
And he shall cause the sheep to stand upon his right hand, and the goats on his left.

Then shall say unto him those righteous, Our Lord! when did we see that thou wast hungry, and fed thee, or that thou didst thirst, and we gave thee drink?
38 Eta noiz ikussi augu arrotz, eta recebitu augu? edo billuci, eta veztitu augu?
and when did we see thee a stranger, and received thee, or naked, and covered thee?
39 Edo noiz ikussi augu eri, edo presoindeguian eta ethorri gara hiregana?
and when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee?
40 Eta ihardesten duela Reguec erranen draue, Eguiaz diotsuet, ene anaye chipién hautaric bati eguin draucaçuen becembatean niri eguin drautaçue:

42 Ecen gosse içan naiz, eta eztrautaçue eman iatera: egarri içan naiz, eta eztrautaçue eman edatera.
For I was hungry and you gave me not to eat; and I thirsted, but you made me not to drink;

and I was a stranger, and you received me not; and naked, and you clothed me not; and I was sick, and in prison, and you visited me not.
44 Orduan hec-ere ihardetsiren draucate, erraiten dutela, Iauna, noiz ikussi augu gosse edo egarri, edo arrotz, edo billuci, edo eri, edo presoindeguian, eta ezaugu cerbitzatu?
Then shall they also answer and say, Our Lord! when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Orduan ihardetsiren draue, erraiten duela, Eguiaz diotsuet chipien hautaric bati eguin eztraucaçuen becembatean, niri-ere eztrautaçue eguin.

46 Eta ioanen dirade hauc tormenta eternalera: baina iustoac vicitze eternalera. (aiōnios g166)
And these shall go away into the torment which is eternal, and the just into the life which is eternal. (aiōnios g166)
